you need to stack it, and it takes time to stack

"additional damage" is also additive onto weapon quality, yearning, and nightmare/salvation

so it's not even a multiplicative increase

it's not "bad" but on its own it's probably the weakest true damage line

(not counting garbo ones like reward/sawtooth)

it's obviously pretty good with hammer

but that's about it

There's a sheet in #info-dump to see the actual odds. But it's ENTIRELY RNG. Some people do 6+ characters for 2 months and don't get a single drop
