Bit late but to answer, you now follow blue quests from your J window, you have to also do some GUIDE quests, the guide quest tells you to sail there but you also need to hone your armors to a certain item level. All of this can be skipped if you use a powerpass, but also you can ignore the honing part if you are using the story express (expires in some hours)

I used the current express on my slayer to 1540, apparently this 1550 chest (which has a 1560 chest etc) gives you 4 level 8 gems at the end or something. Does that mean I lose value if I use path to SE on my slayer to 1580?
