If you're new the best way to have a learning party is to start it out yourself, it'll take longer to complete the party but there are people who are willing to teach sometimes and people who already cleared the raid but don't feel so confident so they'll rather join a learning party than a reclear one. The only thing is if it's hard for you to use sidereals etc. it is better to give the lead to someone who offers to do it instead

Reaper I like the looks of every skill, but I don't like how it plays, I don't feel comfortable with it.
Mayhem zerk I like the looks and how balanced it is, but I don't like how it plays because it's literally red dust + spam skills if hit good if miss bad, way too simple and easy (great to learn raids tho)
Master Summoner I like the concept, the fact that you theoretically have an high dps ceiling while still having great utility (That's what I'm looking for, great utility + high dps ceiling if you're good at it) but I don't like having 0 mobility + so many skills that keep you in place, it just feels clunky and artillerist feels easier, safer and somewhat stronger

Because Reaper's chaos dungeon clears mostly rely on dance of fury and glowing brand reset on kill, and if you run betrayal the set procs will prevent them from resetting
Often resulting in a worse clear time
Combined with preemptive strike providing 100% crit it provides enough damage to kill mobs easily while back attacking elites or the 2nd floor boss allows you to 1/2 shot them still
You could run something like salvation or hallu instead but the difference isn't super noticeable once your reset tripod is leveled up

South Vern power pass will give you 1415 relic gear that you can hone to 1490 and avoid grinding legion raids
Punika gives you purple T3 gear. You hone to 1445 do legion raids and craft relic gear then hone again

I currently have an AT scouter and glaiv both 1550+ (dont rly find either fun tbh) and wanted to make a char and main it with the upcoming express. I decided on lunar reaper initially but post balance she plays more like a moonstriker which I dont really mind tbh, and with arcana I have no experience with but willing to put in the work to learn. so lmk which one you guys prefer, thanks in advance

here's my point of view (very subjective):
- reaper: tryhard floorpov class, can be fun if you enjoy dashing all the time and sniffing the boss' ass
- arcana: one of the hardest class in the game, gonna need to learn a bunch of stuff before you can start having fun

Both classes are high apm and need to know the boss patterns well to position themselves properly
Lunar is more of a rotation based class, so you need to be able to keep up with the boss while hitting all your gauge skills in order to have enough gauge to cast your persona + red, otherwise you'll do no damage
Hunger is kind of just generic high uptime back attack spamming class like taijutsu or control
Both reapers excel with good knowledge of positioning and boss patterns to know when you can and can't greed

Empress is a stack-pop playstyle, her card draw is on the slower side so you get some more time to think about how you want to use the cards you draw. She excels in high uptime situations where you can stay in boundless mana for extended periods of time as she really needs the cooldown reduction to feel smooth. As such she suffers a bit in encounters that constantly alternate between uptime and downtime (like akkan gate 2)

You need to know how to use her cards properly and manage your cooldowns well because her kit revolves around stacking, self buffing yourself, and then using a damage skill
Missing any of those steps will cause your dps to plummet

On the contrary, Emperor is probably the fastest apm class in the game, stacking high swiftness and also wanting to stay in boundless mana, causing her cooldowns to be extremely short
Even though she has such high swiftness her mobility is actually quite bad because she doesn't bring any mobility skills and a lot of her skills cause her to stay in place as they're casted
She draws A LOT of cards really fast so you can't really afford to hold onto cards for too long, you need to be able to think quick on the fly and decide how to use each card as you get it lest you waste draws

If thinking about your cards and how they'll affect your rotation is something that sounds interesting emperor is a very strong pick
But emperor also has one of the steepest learning curves in the entire game

While that is somewhat true, but arcana also has more potential past most classes
Their ceiling is incredibly high and if you really put in the work to learn the class in and out the class pumps like crazy
If you talk to top notch emperor players they'll still tell you that they're improving every day
It is indeed a lot of work to play (both learning and actually playing given how high apm they are) but it definitely rewards you for the work you put in
If you would prefer a more laid back class that has easy to apply damage, I don't think reaper nor arcana are great picks
They're both on the sweatier side of things

Hey, I would like to start the game for the first time. I wanted to play at the launch of the game but I didn’t like the fact to play 6+ chars to be optimized. As casual player now, is it worth it to play the game if I play only 1 or 2 chars ? Will I generate enough ressources and golds to keep fun ?
As classes I’m into mecha/tinker universe. So I was thinking about playing machinist as main and artillerist as second char. Are they good classes ?
And final question : I’m EU player so what server should I play ? Should I choose the jumpstart one ? (I heard it’s quite empty now)

You won’t generate gold as fast
All classes are fine
I would possibly ask around a bit more about JS. JS has been about for a few weeks now so I’m not personally sure how much advantage it would give
But it’s still got some good general progression bonuses so maybe it’s still a good choice

I pretty much wrapped up story express on my main (sorc reflux) yesterday and done two brel legion raids firs the first time yesterday with 2 different parties.
I'm in EU jumpstart server - Kayangel
But timing is probably a factor so I'm from UK and it was around 22:00pm for first one cleared gate 1 and kept failing at gate 2 then took a break and went back at like 23:30-midnight and managed to find a good party and cleared gate 2
