there's a lot of things to compare. main thing like I said is the number on your spec/crit/swift. It needs to be decently high. Max is like 1840 in one stat. Other things they look at is your engravings, gems, card set, and quality on your weapon

the problem is you always have to hit back attacks (as in skills with a back attack modifier) on the back for it to be good

if you dont, you essentially do little dmg compared to other sets
