all content before mid tier 3 is completely dead, you wont be seeing real players or be able to matchmake guardian raids, if you ever wondered

basically you just sail all over the world to different islands getting material chests for you to mass hone your char
ilv600 (+15 all) and you do yorn, after yorn you do your chaos dungeon to get new 802 armors/weapon, hone those to get to 960 and do feiton, then 1100 to do punika, same stuff get new gear from the 1100 chaos dungeon to reach t3

PvP is pretty pain bro. The issue with the shop is to get a lot of the rewards you have to play a lot more than I anticipated. To access what I’d consider a worthwhile amount of honing materials requires you reach like supreme 7 or 8. Can’t remember. And the rank system for that is time gated meaning you can only climb a rank or two each week once you hit supreme. Sometimes less. So assume about a 8-12 week commitment to get full shop access. I’d say about 9-15 hours/week.
Maybe someone will disagree with me. My estimations.
PvP just doesn’t feel great in this game. IMO. If I want a PvP game I’d play apex or something. Lost ark is my vibe game

Only thing I can think of is challenge or challenge abyssal. They have a box that give honing shards. Rewards scale to the highest ilvl on your roster.

Abyss hard clear > 48 mats, craft Chosen's Weapon and 3 armors, 45 mats used, dismantle the other 3 for 3 leapstones.
Argos clear (you only need gate 1+chest, but of course gate 3 better for gold and mats) craft the other 2 armor pieces you lack, dismantle all the argos blood.
Now you have 6 legendary pieces and a lot of extra great honor leapstones

we are literally hours into the weekly reset, you have a full 6 days
get gold selling those, reach 1370 with bound leaps and event mats, then hone to 1370 and run hard
also
you can get some leaps by clearing anguished isle dungeon, there's a vendor there, 50 leaps per char for t2 and t3 (honors)
those are bound but still good to get
one run a day, as you get the entry ticket from the daily quest

and if you keep doing your 3 daily leapstone unas (bound), you can keep selling your tradeable ones while still having some left
maxing out your una tokens to 70, will give you ~3k gold every week

you will get the first one easily with the first clear box
after that though can take weeks for each piece
if you have alts, you can still funnel leapstones to your main
otherwise options are to sell tradeable marvelous and get greaters
