not really, the main story is pretty fast, especially for the first character due to all the generous first time roster rewards. Nothing is time locked thanks to tons of island and quest rewards so you can rush it as fast as you want.

Ahh ok thanks. So just do the main quest then? I’m having a hard time settling on a main so I haven’t made it past lvl 20 lol. Think I’m locked in on arcanist and deadeye though so I can level one and boost the other. Advisable to level or boost one over the other?

most of the roster quests will give you large amounts of rewards and are worth it - they often don't take hardly any more time either since they follow main quest

probably at least get one character through punika first to get the punika powerpass and unlock a bunch of stuff. Can always bring in your alt later.

punika powerpass will allow you to take an alt directly to the end of the punika storyline without having to go through the quests again

i normally tell team hold dps until balls spawn, but another strat is during the ending of the first part of showtime everyone can go south and whoever is mario 3 can go north and purposely get hit 2 times by the last 2 yellow rings to gain meter and since they are alone north they wont have to worry about hitting anyone with the red cross lasers and then u all just rotate clockwise as usual for the second part of showtime

Judging by some of the stuff you’ve asked, I wouldn’t plan so much ahead. Just play the game. It’s weird to want to pick classes with such diverse play styles (“slow attack classes and fast mobility classes”) because most people tend to favour one or the other. It’s also weird to think you are “bad” at back attack classes - there is no reason to be bad especially with the directional indicators. Not being able to back attack is typically more about not understanding boss patterns, which again suggests you should spend more time just playing than theory crafting

Bard - Desperate Salvation Swift
Shadowhunter - Demonic Impulse
Glaivier - Pinnacle
Sorceress - Igniter

Just watch a video (unless you specifically want to do it blind). You don’t need to be hesitant, but you just need to understand the basics of the mechanics that come up. If it’s a learning party people will inevitably fail but people will get frustrated if people don’t learn and the whole group doesn’t make progress.
