Then at 1415 you can go 4x3 or more, if you want. Having more engravings helps getting recruited into public squads, but isn't required.
1445+ is where you'll probably wanna go 4x3 or 5x3.

Yep. That's due to the base texture of the hair. Your hair color is just multiplied by the hair texture, if that hair texture has darker edges then it'll slightly fade your chosen color.

If main is above 1340 you should push it to the next SH research before swapping main to save some gold and resources.

Best strategy for fast progression is funnelling honing materials to main until it unlucks SH(Stronghold) honing research, then you push your alts as far as the buff goes and repeat.
SH researches are at these item levels:
802: 302->600
1302: 802->1100
1385: 1302->1370
1460: 1370->1415

Unlocked: StartOfBuff->EndOfBuff

second, tier 1 and 2 content are dead as all hells due to powerpasses and global honing buffs
third, 100% chance of every single hone at t1 and t2 accelerate your honing to the point where it takes you a couple days to leave that hell, so people dont even do that content, new players get the island mats from first time clears and jump to t3, old players do tower or buy mats / powerpasses
