Last I checked, :Destroy() also disconnects all connections that aren't explicitly disconnected. However, references to the connection (variables) will remain.

If you did

Then he's right - you should clean up.

However, if you just made a connection:

workspace.Baseplate.Touched:Connect(function()

end)

And you :Destroy() (in this case the Baseplate) later, then that connection will be removed.

Weird. You should press your ticket on even if you get approved with your new application. Very odd reason to deny when :Destroy() (and you say you call that function on the objects where you have connections to) already clears those connections.
