This is really is not a staff question but I will answer it anyways. First of all, from what I can see, you do not have a skill role. This might be the reason why you have to work for free. So, what you should do right now is work hard and improve the development skill you have an interest in. Once that's done, apply for a skill role on our website. A skill role is your own evidence of achievement which not only will give you a motivation on its own, but will also work as an access to our marketplace where you can post your hireable posts which will get you clients who'll actually pay you. This is easier said than done but in a competitive zone like Roblox development, you always must have a notch above others. You might lose motivation during the learning process, I did too, but just remember it's okay to take a rest when you're exhausted and that there is no rush on your accomplishments. Improve slow but steady and you will reach your goals! Feel free to ask our community or staff around for tips too.

I had taken a GFX commission from Client After I sent him a watermarked preview of the finished work, he suddenly stopped responding. I waited for around 12 hours, during which I tried contacting him, but got no reply.

During that time, I also asked around and found that multiple people, including friends of mine, said he had scammed them in the past. That raised my concern, especially because I’ve heard he uses AI tools to remove watermarks, which made me hesitant to send anything more.

Due to these red flags, I opened a ticket to report the situation, thinking I was being ghosted and possibly scammed. However, after the report was made, the user returned and claimed he was asleep and still wants to pay.

I wanted to be transparent about everything and make sure I wasn’t in the wrong. I haven’t sent the final version yet without the watermark yet— I’m still waiting on full payment. I’ll be happy to resolve the ticket if the payment is completed.

It shows your full name as you typed it when you made your PayPal account. I don't actually send payments to people as I am only for hire; I don't hire. It does not show your address though I recommend you double check that before you hit that 'send' button.

You just make your PayPal account and pick a name. That name is what other users see when you pay them or get paid.
If people pay you, they will not see your address. If you pay people, you have the option to show your address (don't do it).

I transfer my AlteraDev PayPal funds to my real PayPal account some time after a commission's closed. So basically:
Client pays AlteraDev -> I pay that money into my real PayPal account
That way, my privacy remains in tact.

One more thing @graceful girder, PayPal reserves the right to ID verify your PayPal at any time. If they choose to do so, any funds within that account will be frozen and can only be refunded to the people that sent the money.
Therefore I recommend regularly sending that money to your real PayPal account, as you cannot ID verify with your other PayPal account if you do not use your real name.
