Well, take this for example, the buyer says that he'll pay only upon completion. I've often worked with HD buyers in past who said they'll pay upon completion but then they often ghost (usually they're kicked from HD as well)
Looking at that list, it's quite a lot of stuff. If I dedicate, say, 2 to 3 weeks completing that (and, consequently, not working on any other task during this time) but the buyer ghosts me, all that time is pretty much lost. I'm often suggested to sell these models since I have my rights on them, but most legitimate marketplaces don't allow for that, that is if anyone even manages to view anything I've uploaded.
So, considering that HD has given buyers the option to pay upon completion, there must be some form of verification process conducted by HD to ensure that the buyers compensate the developer for the time developer has spent working for the buyer. I need guidance regarding that. How do I make sure that I am compensated for my work? (and not just left with complete but useless models)

there is no verification. if you dont agree with the payment schedule or you think it's risky, ask the buyer for something that better suits your needs (e.g: pay per task). if they refuse, just find a different client

It could be implemented as such: Both parties will each give 15% to the HD (so 15% cut of payment from dev and 15% extra payment from buyer) to compensate the HD (and the middleman assigned) to hold the money from buyer until the buyer is satisfied with the result, and then release the money to the dev once he delivers the product to the buyer (proven through some sort of verification again)
Ofcourse, this is just something I thought right off from my head so it definitely must have some issues but it could be ironed out. Verifications or middle-man methods would ensure that people don't abuse the developers on this platform.

Well, if you read roughly the previous 15 messages then it'll be clear that partial upfront is not preferred.
One inherent issue with partial upfront is actually the same issue with upon completion but for buyers, which is that what if the dev ghost them after the partial payment. Reading the message from furry uwu (toolongdev) shows that buyers are very reluctant with partial upfront.
Besides, I was mainly talking about Upon Completion things.

If the other person has submitted a scam report but a scam investigator hasn't contacted you yet, wait for them to contact you and give them your side. If you've already been banned and you wish to appeal, create an appeal ticket (Via '/ticket' with @eternal palm) and a staff member will contact you.

i'll just post a quick summary in my own words, this is my understanding. you can correct anything if it's wrong
