You can have a ToS, but it should be super descriptive. You can't just cancel on someone for being rude and all they said was "that sucks" and you label it as being rude because, to me, it's not that rude. The same goes for ghosting, what's your definition of ghosting? Is it an hour of no response? 1 week? 1 month? There can be a lot of loopholes in terms to a ToS if you aren't detailed

Furthermore, you shouldn't be changing a ToS mid-way or anytime during the commission. When you present a ToS and the other party agrees, that's the final ToS. If you change the ToS mid-way, the other party should be aware and needs to agree to the newly written edits of the ToS.

You should comply with the request and video record the conversation.

It shouldn't take more than a minute or two. If your conversation was lengthy, then yes it might take a while but if you want to persist with your report then you have to comply.

well, let’s say I hired someone for a scripting commission. now, they’ve been working about a week or more and we already agreed on upon-completion. but then, they ask me for the money after they reached a milestone, even though i was unaware that we were doing a different payment form? then they told me that it’s upon completion of a milestone, which i hadn’t even got the message of. i was unaware if i wanted to work with them farther, and since i haven’t gotten many updates on these scripts and we had only been going at this for a week i wanted to back out. but then, they threatened me saying they would file a scam report against me if i didn’t pay them, even though they used the wrong terminology.

I'm in a bit of a situation, I hired a developer to fix a bug for me that I didn't know how to fix, and he fixed it fairly quickly and for cheap as well. I won't ping him, but he's quite proffessional, and has a portfolio, so I asked him if he can finish the rest of my game. I told him what the game is about, what's done, what still needs to be done, and ultimately, he agreed. I asked if he can do contracts, and apparantely, his parents don't let him sign contracts until he turns 18. In the contract, I was going to have a lot of protection, such as he can't steal any of our game assets, he will have to fullfill to what he promised, and he can't take any of our ideas, or duplicate our game, and much more to ensure protection for us. But without the contract, is there anything we can do much to protect? Do I trust him still without the contract and have him complete the game? Is there anything else I can do to ensure nothing gets stolen or duplicated, and the work is done upon what we agreed on?

What you can do, and what I personally do when someone tries to hire me is agree to a TOS that protects me, I make sure that our chat is being recorded by a chat logs bot and I make sure to use the discord polls, after I told them if they agree with my TOS 3 times, I make the poll and the vote, the moment they vote I end the poll and with the chat logs and this poll (I use a ticket system as well) they pretty much can't do anything
