Yes and no. It is probably possible to put a virus into it, but that would require you to rename the file with a .exe extension, and try to run it as an executable. So basically don't do anything stupid.

I'd highly advise asking for proof of funds (and asking how they got hold of that much money) and/or taking an upfront payment before starting any work to (somewhat) validate the payment. Investigating scams is a relatively long process, and our staff have lives too. Older tickets get priority from a recovering backlog, not much you can do about it.
