It didn’t work at all it was a false alarm I just got WeMod to launch but it didn’t work, honestly the whole process just isn’t worth it and the support is entirely lackluster

I was unable to toggle any cheats on using the keyboard which is the only free option

Maybe it works with paid version but I’m not paying money to test this terrible process that involves an hour of work for one game

You are better off firing the game up on PC using Wemod there for what you need then save your game, it will sync your save to the Steam Deck with Steam Cloud Save if the game supports that

even IF it works with the paid version, the process is so arduous for every game there’s no way it’s worth it

With a game like Elden Ring just don't be stupid. If you mod your character to make things like leveling and loot easier then go to play you'll probably be fine. If you're actively using a mod like unlimited HP/FP you'll be in for a bad time.

I have found that launching game using WeMod “Play” button works better than using Xbox PC app to launch game and then “loading” mods via WeMod. But only have limited games I work with, so you may have to try both for your particular game

Wemod is a real business and it would be a really horrible idea to infect people with viruses as that opens them up to a lot of legal issues

If anything ever gets flagged it would be a .dll file or a bypass. Both are commonly flagged as false positive due to the nature of the file.
