Basically .... I've now been banned 2 times in under a month time (for unusual game patterns)......I've been playing this game since pre 1.0 launch (so basically over 3 years). I don't cheat, hack, or do anything to gain an unfair advantage. I load up steam again today and says I'm banned till august 6th. Was hoping to talk/text to anyone who can help. Because the 1st time i was banned a few weeks back i never received a response to the email i sent to official PUBG website.

Just Did my request ticket. I just want to say for the record, i Dont know what is happening but to be playing a game for 3+ years and in under a month get not 1 but 2 temp bans really kinda stinks. I check my PUBG cache files every other day, run malwarebytes daily. Even streamed to all 0-3 viewers for past week and 1/2, and have no clue as to why i'm being banned.

I'm trying to play PubG on PC (through steam). I purchased it years back and have had it installed for months updating it everytime there's an update. But now when I go to click Play, it takes upwards of 10 minutes to even get the executable started as all the background tasks (Battle Eye, etc) are using it. If I wait that long, I can get into the queue for the game but the game lags out when I'm on the loading screen for the match and ends up shooting a [25] BattleEye: Bad Service version 8.1.6 error with a random string after it (it changes between launches). I've tried reinstalling BattleEye, I've tried rebooting my computer, I've tried verifying my game files, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game (case 1), I've tried reinstalling to another drive (case 2). I've gotten to a point where I don't know where else to go. If someone could provide some insight, that would be much appreciated. My specs are below (which shouldn't be the cause):

Ryzen 7 3700X
GTX 1070
32 GB 3600 MHz DDR4 RAM
PCIe Gen 4 NVMe SSD (case 1 / main steam drive)
Samsung 860 Evo 1 TB SSD (case 2 / secondary steam drive)
Windows 10 Pro 2004 (19041.388)

@formal kite It's not necessarily auto-detected, but it can trigger a ban. There's an entry on PUBG's ToS talking about macros and this third-party elements (software and hardware) that can influence the gameplay.

Currently have an issue with loading PUBG on Xbox. When trying to load up PUBG it says that an update is needed but can not find the update. Any ideas?.. (I’ve now uninstalled PUBs and now it’s also not letting me download the game through the store)

When trying to download from the store it says “Error” “Installation Stopped”

I have received an email regarding the testing of the key binding on Xbox PUBG as I have opted into the development along side PUBG. Could this have something to do with it?

I believe this is only affecting the people who have opted into the development of the new keybinding PUBG feature on xbox. I think this as when we opted in we had to issue our Xbox IDs so that the updates could be sent direct to ourselves so that not all players will have this feature.
Can we have an update please? (excuse the pun)

@wooden fractal hi by any chance is your PC in balanced or performance mode in power options? Those kind of fluctuations are huge

And would make me think your PC Is in balanced power settings (the default windows 10 uses after an install) I personally always make a power options link to my desktop and set to high performance when gaming to prevent any downclocking for power savings......and switch back when YouTube/twitch/Hulu/Netflix/pRon watching.

For example my 8700k that’s heavy overclocked doesn’t have any flaucations because the overclock throws off my power savings. But my 3700x system with the same video card (which is not overclocked) if i forget to put the PC in high performance mode can watch my FPS from from a normal 150-190FPS to suddenly dipping to 75-95....and seem laggy when in reality the PC has so much horse power windows down clocks the cpu speeds thinking it can save power but instead it causes bad frame dips and bad performance. 2 mouse clicks and back in high performance and game runs like a dream at 1440p.
If you are running Windows 10.....type control panel and go to system settings. You should see an icon for power options right click it and have it make a shortcut to desktop. Fast easy switching between power modes

@elfin hedge I live in Massachusetts and have the same issue with packetloss if it’s a close east coast server I get 20-40 ping 0% packetloss all other US servers I get 65-90 ping (which is fine) but I get 3-15% packetloss.
Unfortunately most ISPs don’t let traceroute program ping/poll like they did 20 years ago so I Have no clue which HOP (server you packets are getting routed through) is causing the issue. Back in the day with Ultima Online you be surprised back in 1997 watching your data go through 10-16 servers from you to game server. So you could tell which server was the issue and contact that ISP. (You be shocked how many ISPs back then weren’t using ECC ram in their servers )
So since most service provides don’t let random ping/trace routes/polling (it can seem like an attempt at DDoS) it’s hard to pin point as a common end user where the issue is. You could be sending data through 20+ server and one half-assed server can ruin the whole thing you connection is only as strong as the weakest link. So with more people home on the net w covid it’s hard to tell if it’s just too much traffic for one of the Data servers to handle or if one of the server is just running subpar or incorrect setups. 20 years ago it be easy to find out. Just harder now because the tools common people could use are blocked.

@stiff basalt hey auto desk that level of CPU usage is about right for that CPU. Have you tried to verify your PUBG steam cache files? Right click PUBG and go properties and local files and have steam verify the cache files. On solid state drives I find the files can get corrupted easier then on say a hard drive. Check to make sure files are in good order should take 5-10 min depending on internet connection and PC speed.
If the files are ok, I’d check to make sure your graphics drivers are up to date and use any clean install option (I know on Radeon GPU you click optional setting and click factory reset, I don’t remember what it’s called in the Nvidia installer.
If the game cache files are fine and the GPU drivers are fine. Make sure windows is fully updated. You can try a program like CCleaner after all updates are done to have it check the windows registry for any errors.
You may even have corrupt Direct X files depending on your version of windows sometimes searching for the direct X redistributable file installer and having it run....DX corruption is more rare but it could cause games to not load properly.
If you try those and they don’t work let me know. There’s a few other options you can try.

Another thing to check is your current windows 10 version. Sometimes the windows update tables are bad you are stuck on verisions that are old a friend of mine was having issues and his windows 10 was on version 1603 (march 2016 release). If you are far behind you could be having issues from that. Go to google and type windows 10 media creation tool. And run that if your version of windows 10 is older than a year (so say older then 1903). That can also possibly help if any part of windows is broke

Ziggy it won’t it’s some server our data packets are going through from here to the end server. Without a proper trace route it’s near impossible for end user to see which server HOP is causing the packetloss. For all I know there could be 8-30+ servers our data goes through from our location to the PUBG game server. All we can hope is PUBG sees all the players with packetloss and can figure out where all the data loss is occurring.

I play on 1440p and have all settings in very low ingame except texture medium and capp my fps to 162 due to gsync on. And when it drops to 80-70fps it feels bad. I know for some users will say 70 80 is goot but is not when is fluctuating so much

@weak glade I had the same issue my second temp ban ended this morning while a ban is active they won’t tell you what they are investigating for. I’m hoping since it’s done if I reply again to my PUBG.com appeal they can hopefully give more info. But feel your pain losing out on 10 days during active survivor passes does stink. Also any admins in this discord can’t help or provide any info. They will ask you to appeal through the website. And I feel your pain brother.

@dusk sandal XM if you don't remember your PUBG nickname perhaps you remember a teammates name you played with you could then use https://pubg.op.gg/ look up your teammates name and hopefully it would show your name on the bottom left for recently played, or look at there game history and click team info you would be able to find it then but it may take time. That would help you possibly find your PUG nickname. Now Question did you get VAC banned or Developer banned? there a big difference in the 2. A VAC is usually done by valve when Software is detected and confirmed, while in my 15 years of playing on the steam platform there have been instances of false VAC bans being given out to players (extremely rare in past 5-7 years) in case of accidental VAC Valve (the makers of STEAM) will usually auto unban wrongfully tagged accounts. But in my experience 99% of players who received a VAC ban the ban was rightfully given for them using 3rd party programs, software, or even using Macro buttons on mice (Macros are different then hotkeys, it actually saving multiple commands or action 2 a button, back in my CS:Source Cyber Athlete League (CAL) days there was a few mice that were banned because they had macro buttons and software that came the mouse that basically allowed anti-recoil at a mouse click).

@dusk sandal A developer Ban is different, and could be given for a variety of reason such as using a bad name (think of making a name w the bad N word in it). In which case a developer can ban you from the game but not trigger a VAC ban. SO to try and help you did you Receive a Developer Ban? or a VAC ban? if its a developer ban you message the maker of the game. If its a VAC ban you message both the developer and Valve. But keep in Mind if you were VAC banned odds were some software was most likely detected and odds of an overturn are drastically less likely.

But without knowing your PC specs and PUBG graphic settings it hard for me to give 100% Advice.....I will say reguardless of GPU setting Foilage and Shadow to very low reguardless of GPU will give you a huge frame boost. Also putting view distance from Ultra to High can also net a huge FPS boost. It all depends on what your target FPS goal is like 60 FPS, 100 FPS, 144 FPS+ total

Every time I verify my files on steam, it says that one file is broken and downloads 1.1 MB. No matter how often I check.

Were you taking blue zone dmg? And did any Frags off nearby or did you take any fall damage?

Also the games damage isn’t always 100% accurate. For example an AWM HS should usually knock/kill someone in a level 3 helm but I got hit by an AWM last weekend in the head and it did only 80 damage.

Stutter and frame drop every game few times a game, lags and bugs...
it is just heartbreaking to realize I was so big on the concept of the game, but the execution, management and decision making is just so poor

instead of dealing only with stabilizing and optimizing the game and servers, they do more skins and things for sale to make more profit, create tournaments (which suffer the same bugs, plus cheaters that get reported in many tournaments), and it seems like it's not important enough to be fixed.

@viral monolith if the player is having high packetloss that will cause noticeable lag and frame drop. I play at 1440p with 140-190 FPS (depending on map) if my packetloss hits 14-15% every time it hits those numbers it’s instant freeze/lag/frame drops. Does your friend keep his netgraph up in PUBG while he plays? Is he connecting to servers close to his geographic location (IE same country/continent)? If his connection isn’t the issue I can try to help him when I get home at diner w/ wife at wife friends house and they just put on a movie so I’ll be stuck here for a long long time but I may be on later tonight or I’ll be on early morning I have no problem trying to help your friend get better FPS.

im having crashes while the blue zone moves, also got every 5 minutes stutters and lags. With the update 8.1 the stutters and lags were gone, until the the last update on Wednesday 5th August. Since that day the game is unplayable again. Network issues with the server since yesterday, my friends got them too.

Just so you know, these issues aren't exclusive to just PUBG. Multiple games have had people crash-out/lag-out in Tourneys. COD, Fortnite, Siege, just to name a few. With that said, i have a nearly identical build to you (8600k @ 5GHz, 2070, 16GB 3600MHz DDR4) and rarely have any issues with crashing - the FPS issues though are something which is being worked on.

Mate, COD, CS, Valorant, BF and so many other games do not suffer the same.
Cod crashed for me twice since it went out! PUBG can crash 3 times a session or more.
the Frame drops and stutters makes the game unplayable, especially to people who suffer also from lags as they are further away from servers and servers are crap anyhow.
and on most games you mentioned, they can reset the round. it's not the same in BR mate.

@void jetty it could be that your resolution settings are causing the buttons to be misplaced on your screen. Go through the troubleshooting steps to remove your config settings, verify game files etc and see if that fixes it, if not, perform the clean game reinstall as suggested in the guide.

PS4 on 11th and 12th of August 2020: Constant lag in certain games. Entire games lag out where you can still run around but not interact with anything (Can't enter vehicles, open doors, use meds, etc) Everyone you spot is standing still not doing anything. Me and my mate have had this in a few games in ranked now. Circle timer seems to stand still aswell when it happens.

Just wanted to check if anyone had the issue of PUBG-launching, after a windows 10 update to build 2004. The welbia UAC request is gone, replaced by a Steam UAC request. It'll get as far as launching battle eye. tls_game.exe shows up for a second, in the task manager, then disappears.
Prior to the Win10 update, the game would run.

Yeah. AVG. It must be something else, though. I did have an SSD die, last month. I put pubg into a traditional hard drive. Bought and installed a NVME PCIe 3x4 SSD, loaded it back on, and no problems. I was moving other game files to the new SSD, like the steamworks 2006/2007 files. Come to think of it, the UAC request was Steam. Some APK allowing games to run as administrator.

@celest panther I've tried everything. Upgraded to newest windows feature update. Reset overclock to default settings in BIOS (not even using XMP profile), still get the same stuttering.

ok, so the Steam UAC request was Steam trying to fix the pubg installation. When pubg is done validating, though, it says it needs a file and pulls a 1.1MB download. However, it's a loop. Still doesn't launch and fails to validate one file.
I'm pretty certain this has to do with moving some steamworks installations, now. I'll try moving them back, and then reinstall Steam onto the SSD, if that doesn't work.

@shy breach It's finicky. I can run games ~60fps/1440p using a GTX970 (low settings except texture and draw distance on high), with my i5. Generally, it runs well until the last 32 players. Then I get a bit of stutter.

CPU usage is just abnormally high. When the cores get 100% spike, that's what causes the stutter for me. Most of the game usually hovers around 90% cpu usage. Just borderline.

Which is funny, because the countdown lobby and first jump is usually butter smooth.

@celest panther Not a pleasant thing to try, I turned AVG off and Pubg launched. AVG has done these things in the past with some games. Probably a definition update marked a false positive on a file, or some rework of the behavior shield. It hasn't been a problem until today. 🤷

Well, it's an issue that the developers are still actively investigating and trying to resolve. Nothing you can do, will fully resolve it until they fix it.

Regarding your placement, if you leave the match before your squad has died then you will be given your personal placement based on when you yourself died. If this is what you did then this is not a bug.

Its known that PUBG has more stability issues on OG and S consoles than the X.

There are some situations where your RAM voltage might be causing a crash. I've changed mine to +0.05 using MSI Afterburner (was experiencing crashes constantly every couple games), kinda fixed the problem.

I recommend doing a clean reinstall as mentioned towards the end of this guide

It sounds like you have an application on your system that might be corrupting data.

Worst case, it could be a bad chip on your new SSD (though thats an edge case)

This is a message I sent to PUBG Support, I'm also sending it here incase something knows how to fix it: "so I recently asked for your help to try to find a solution for my problem and what's causing it but you didn't help so I tried to find the problem by myself, and I did. I've noticed a weird thing happening with my GPU ONLY in PUBG, My GPU drops down to 30%-60% Usage or 0% and then the game freezes for a few seconds or crashes. (Usually it starts when Phase 2/3 comes), and I have insane FPS drops from 80-100 to 30-55 which makes it unplayable, in the last 2 phases the lags starts to calm down and my game goes back to normal fps. this bug is happening only in ranked match (Usually the craziest drops I have is in Miramar and Vikendi), In unranked match I don't see any problems my games run smoothly. Please help me find a solution for this with a respond. I'm not the only one with this problem I've googled the problem and there's lots of people having the same problem like me."

when you unistall the game u must remove the following folders

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\PUBG
C:\Users(Your pc name)\AppData\Local\TslGame

and then re install the game

I know it can install itself bundled with a variety of software out there just like mcaffee if you dont pay attention..which is not cool. It can also slow down your pc performance

Especially if you have windows defender running as well

It is not recommended to have more than 1 anti virus if you want to game on your pc. Best scenario would be not to have any installed at all to ensure max performance.

If you want a good alternative, tr, malwarebytes. Offline, you can run it once a week, month whenever you want and it will clean your PC well if you have been less cautious and let anything access your pc :)

for real though, it's a known issue that the developers are still investigating/trying to fix. Capping you frames to something lower might be able to alleviate for the time being :)

@muted frost So, get the AVG main window by finding the taskbar notification icon. Double-click left, or right-click and open... or find AVG in your start menu. Click for the Menu, in the upper right, then Settings>General>Exceptions. Click "ADD EXCEPTION", then click "BROWSE", and find the file tls_game.exe and select that.

The path to the exe should be something like Steam\steamapps\common\PUBG\TslGame\Binaries\Win64\TslGame.exe

Then, to be safe, you may need Steam to validate files for PUBG again. You should be good to go after that.

Unfortunately the stuttering/freezing issue is still there after the patch, just played 2 games. First one was ok, although not great. Second match was unplayable from the moment circle 2 closed to when I died. Multiple freezes bad enough to trigger the network lag detected screen and overall unplayable framerate.. using: i5-6600k (no OC), 16GB RAM@ 3200MHz, RTX 2070 Super (driver vers. 451.85), game installed on SSD

At this point I'm convinced there's a huge memory leak issue. Been eyeing entire system ram usage on a game to game basis using RTSS. Upon launching the game I start around 5gb. I've noticed memory load levels are quite different for each map, Miramar and Vikendi are the most hungry of the bunch and start around 6.5-7gb on load. The 100% stuttering issues usually begin when I notice system ram usage climbing above 8.5-10gb. Keep in mind this wasn't an issue before the last update... I still had the 100% CPU bug back then but I never saw my memory climb anywhere close to 10gb!!!
I've tried reaching out for help via the PUBG discord but the mods there just continue to ignore each of my attempts for help as well as many others. They do as little as possible to acknowledge that this is even a bug. It's an embarrassing look for a company when a good portion of its player base can't even play the game. People like me who have been supporting the game since the alpha days, put in over 5000hrs, are basically just shit out of luck as far as PUBG management is concerned.

The issue doesn't affect everyone and a specific pattern is difficult to identify. Engineers are still looking into it and improvements have been made over several updates to help alleviate the issue, but there are still people affected.

Hi when i start updating the game the update size was 4.6 gb when it finished the whole update it became 16.5 gb and when it finished the 16.5 gb it became 21.3 gb , now 14 gb installed and it continu installing i don't know why ,, can any body help plz ??

after the maintenance the stutters and lag were gone about 3 hours, since like 2 hrs its back. random stuttering, freezing, lags, command lag. is this maybe a issue with one of the 100 anticheat tools pubg is using? a issue between server and some clients.

Fps is incredible bad with the new update. It is not the 100% cpu issue as I don't have that one. It's something new

Yes, the game has problems, but telling the art/design teams to stop working and wait for the engineers to fix problems a part of the playerbase is experiencing doesn't help in speeding up that process.
And "fire half of them and hire additional engineers" is not how it works

#

Well, you can only hire new engineers if there are some looking to start working at another company.
And let me tell you, they are quite rare out there.
Once you managed to find someone fitting the position you are looking for you have to train them to work with your existing codebase and tools.
This takes several months and only near the end that guy starts to commit actual work to the team. But during that time, he consumes time from other engineers training him.

The problem starts in the middle of the game when all the action begins, Phases 3+ Games starting to lag insanly, High CPU Usage, GPU Usage Drops, Fps loss when you're in the "Big cities" which causes lags freezes and a lot more... I don't know about you but In Mirmar and Vikendi I have 2 times more lags than in Erangel and Shanok.

I do not respect the fact that one of them said "Not everybody has this problem" because so many people complain about the same problem and it's not enough for them and it just shows that they dont care. Alsl my friend just bought a computer, Brand new one, RTX 2070 Super, Ryzen 5 3600, 16GB Ram we loaded into a ranked match in vikdeni and we and the other 2 randoms having crazy fps drops It was unplayable, his frames drops to 50 mine to 20-30. I thought this problem usually with 4 cores - 4 threads Overclocked / Normal proccersors or but as I can see it's a problem with the game and not the computers...

And to be honest this problem hasn't started a week ago, I'm playing PUBG Since the first version in 2017. There was always a problem in Squads game,Around 2018-2019 I've played Competitive Faceit which was the way to play "Ranked Games" and I remember there was always fps drops in mid-end games. Hopefully one day this problem will be solved but In my opnion they won't fix the problem.

all this stutters and cpu issues started with version 6.1 - 6.2, maybe go back and check the code that was changed or added. It can't be that hard, as long you use tools like git.

So we got another concern where we started matchmaking. Once it attempts to enter the match, I got stuck in the loading screen and I can still hear the background music from the lobby. I tried to relaunch the game to reconnect. After clicking CONTINUE to attempt to reconnect, I get this message.

@opal pilot I have the same issue. I'm on an i5 4690k OC to 4.5 and a gtx 970.
I can manage to play one or two games at 90 fps with all on low, but then it stats giving me lag and moment where the frames go to 0 and the ping goes over 1000. Usually middle games. I can't move for like 30 sec. to 1 min.

I'd be glad if someone helps me. I was playing the game without any problem before the update but after the uptade 8.2, i played 1 solo then i went for 2nd solo game and game stuck at loading screen forever.i could hear the voices but still loading screen. I removed and installed this game 3 times and nothing fixed. But somehow,i can play ranked without any problem. This issue still continues, if i try to play 2nd solo game i have to restart the game. Had many conversations with pubg support but i messaged them 9 hours ago and still waiting for a reply. As i see,this loading screen bug doesnt happen to many players. But i saw some ppl having this issue as well. I hope any staff will help

Me and my friends have been having this issue for the last week or so. We can't join each other even though we're all not in a team. If I try to invite one of my friends it says "Already in team" another friend says "The party is full". Sometimes one of us can join the other, but we haven't found a pattern to when this happens.

The issue seems similar to what this user had on May 20th:
