I think I've just found a way to fix it today

I reinstalled my graphics card driver

and looks like now it stopped randomly restarting my PC

Normally, it would've already restarted after playing for 20 - 30 minutes, now it just seems to be OK

Good it worked. one thing to note in general is Microsoft also releases patches on second Tuesdays, pubg has patches release on every Tuesdays.
if one observes stutters or crashes it should be okay to do sfc /scannow and install the drivers.

I am having a bug where the game is forcing v-sync for some reason. The only workaround is to switch to windowed mode and back to fullscreen, however, if i alt tab out and back in, it forces v-sync again. I hope for an answer to this, been happening for months.

Hey guys, hope y'all are doing good. for the last week or so I've had a problem/glitch. Pubg will install in its entirety but it will only say disk write error. I have attempted the re-installation of it at least 12 times now and I am able to install any other game with no worries. There are some routing issues at the moment it seems. Has been like this for a long while now... A-A servers are fine for me but I will get some occasional lag on the A-Z servers. Hi folks. I've noticed FPS drops very often last times. Average is about 70-90 FPS but 99% are 50-60 FPS. Also render latency is about 20ms, when CPU usage is 40-60% and GPU 70-85%.
Can I do something more to increase stability or better performance?
Of course nothing big are working in background. Only Steam and PUBG.

I have validated files, deleted movie files, reinstalled the game from scratch, and tried to load into different DX versions. Nothing works. Your description is on point, the initial lobby loads, and then the character loads in and it's at this point it dies. Like something in the character load (the cosmetics) is killing it.

Most of the time problems like that are fixed by restarting the lobby in-game. (This is the case with disappearing skins thumbnails.) So you might try that. But alternately it might be a Steam issue.

Yeah...other users reported it on 20th March which is when it started to happen to me as well. So far no solutions. I've tried reinstalling, verify integrity of game files etc. I can get it to load via multiple attemtps. Seems be a 1 in 10 chance it wont crash. Very strange.

2nd Time, I get key fragment from crate, but key fragment number never increases. Stuck at 2/3 key fragments.

Can confirm, yes indeed this stopped the crashing. Furthermore, I didn't want to lose all my keybinds in the config folder that's stored there. So my initial delete got rid of everything except the config folder. Unfortunately the crashing continued so it's likely the config folder is the cause. I removed the config folder and then the crashing stopped immediately. I believe it's just the config folder that's causing the issue.

This also explains why an uninstall and reinstall makes zero difference in fixing it. The appdata folders/files for PUBG remain so when you replace the core installation, the problem remains.

BTW can confirm. Stopping BattlEye service from "services" (do a search from start) will let you kill the tslgame.exe process. Yet again its the anticheat that is causing all the issues.

Support tells me that with yesterday's update, they think they've fixed the problem with PUBG not exiting (closing but staying in memory unless you force-close BattlEye). if you enter a vehicle your gas can will move from your melee slot into your inventory. if there is no space of it in the inventory then it will drop on the floor...

if you plan on using the gas can for fuel, unequip it from the melee slot so you dont accidently fill your inventory too much

whereas the fuel can can be held as a "melee" item (to pour gas on the floor) or be in your inventory (right click to refuel whilst inside a car)

I agree it's dumb. You should be able to right click it whilst it's in the melee slot to refuel, but right clicking the melee slot unequips it and drops it/ puts in your inventory if you have space.

It's just a dumb game balance thing ig. Dump a stack of ammo next to the plane, and the can should move into your main inventory. Fill the plane, jump out, retrieve ammo, hop back in, & go.

Same problem happens with all vehicles (including bicycle).

I reported it to support at one point and was told that it's not a bug. It's an intentional design feature.

Hi. I've been having this weird issue ever since I reinstalled windows. I play PUBG at 1728x1080 stretched. When I enter the game, all desktop icons go on the second screen. I've looked up for a solution everywhere but some people say it used to do it for them but it fixed itself. I haven't had any crashes on any of my other games either. A couple of weeks ago I had to do an file integrity check for the first time since playing the game. But again, this only started since the last update. The game was loading slowly for me after the update but then I had an automatic driver update on my RTX-4080 and since then it loads and runs fine, no crashes. I just re-installed PUBG after 2-3 years of break. I have a AMD ryzen 7, 5800X 8-core processor. 3.80 GHz, 16 GB memory. Windows 10, with graphic card NVIDIA geforce GTX 3070.

I play with low settings, like low and medium and have around 150-200 fps, but sometimes I get HUGE FPS drops, I cant even move and fsp goes down to 1-5 ... also the game suddenly crashes.

Any tips? I've looked into all youtube videos I can find, and i can play all other games with high settings without these problems that i encouterer in PUBG. When i played the first game with high settings, i got like 5 fps in the airplane in the beginning and couldnt jump out, so i put down all settings....

The game in some areas has huge FPS drops. Known issues. Some cities on some maps are really bad there. Also smoke grenades can cause issues.

You can experiement with the directx version you use in game. There are 3 options from dx11 to dx 12. Derpending on your hardware some might work better than the other.

I've had a new issue that just starting happening today. I was playing a casual match with a buddy and we both got the "Network Disconnected" error in the middle of the match. After booting back into a regular match, my game crashed, taking my entire machine with it. Both screens showed pixelations just before the machine shut off. What's also interesting, is that my friend's PC had the same issue -- PUBG started crashing his machine, too, with his screens going to pixels before his computer rebooted. Happens on both DirectX11 an DirectX12

You should be able to disable that driver blocklist setting in windows defender and be OK from what I'm reading. I'm trying to find out right now whether there is an explicit "allow" list for specific drivers so that we can leave it enabled and still allow navagio.sys to work

@slender glen I think we found our issue. Try disabling the Vulnerable Driver Blocklist next time you play, I think that will "fix" it. It's not a great workaround. Ideally, you would re-enable the blocklist after you're done playing. Until PUBG fixes their awful code, the anticheat is getting flagged by Windows and that's what crashing the system

Oddly enough my 3 friends and I played casuals last night after a day of all of us crashing and it was perfect for everyone.

Yeah, it's definitely related to the anticheat software. As I mention, I think there's some interaction with windows defender that's causing it. I think PUBG must have pushed code changes through yesterday in a silent patch to that software that made Windows angry

I cannot find where to edit the specific "allow list" for the defender driver blocklist. I've looked. It refers to some XML in the documentation, but doesn't divulge the location.

If I could find it and allow navagio.sys, that would be ideal. I don't feel comfortable leaving the OS exposed to vulnerabilities just to play this game

I've had this issue on and off for a long time. I know what causes it already as you would see in the post history.

Only pubg can fix the fact that their drivers clash with windows to the point we often have to disable the security of our system to let it run.

It comes and goes ONLY with this game and only when they do little patches and things. As you saw in my post I guess, my regular friends all crashed multiple times, starting all on the same evening in the same game with the same navagio message.

Different countries, old systems, new ones, 20/30/40 series cards, amd, Intel, win 10 and win 11.

Nothing similar amongst us, but all started crashing in our first match of the day (post game update) together when some of them had never had this issue before. Yet some people weren't affected.

Not really a personal issue. And at least if people are talking about it in here, they are not bothering to try screw around with their systems and fix it themselves...because I can tell you for that Navagio message, no supposed tweak fixes it....only disabling your driver security.

It took my prime about three hours to show up. 48 hours sounds like you might need to unlink/relink, and if that doesn't fix it, open a support ticket.

The handling off road for a motorcycle at full speed is better than a vehicle. Turning ratio is much smaller and easier to operate.
