The steam error is still related to steam, not the game.

There is a pinned msg in here that gives you some options for troubleshooting. You can try all these first. If the crashes persist you can write that her in a proper way and people might help you out with adfitional help.

2. disable overlays , discord, steam, windows game bar
3. if nvidia gpu try uninstall geforce experience
4. disable overclocking options like xmp in bios.
5. system file checks like sfc /scannow if the issue has been started recently after any windows update
6. share logs of event viewer for system / application at the time of crash to help better.

In one situation latest MOBO needed bios upgrade to have better support for ram which fixed cannot read memory like errors. its better to target solution based on error codes and logs.

dont try to open the logs directly you need to view them with the application. in windows run type eventvwr.msc and then follow 'windows logs' application & system logs with error or warning at the time of crash. Since the folder you are trying to open is system folder it will not allow your user to open it.

The issue is due to admin rights for executable file. Due to this, the cheat engine services get stopped in windows services. You have to manually start it up by going to services.msc. Change rights for steam to admin. Start steam as admin. Worked for me just fine post these steps

Don't know if it's related to Th1rt3en's issue, but I frequently have the default music stop playing after I play an emote that has sound, or after a match when I'm back in the main lobby. Doesn't seem to have a consistent pattern/cause though.

If I go into settings and change the music to another title, then apply, change it back, and apply, then the music plays again. (And it's not just the current default track; it happened with the previous, pre-Deston track too.)

Can you try 2 options : to be honest not sure if this will work 100% but this wont make it worse.

• go to sound settings > device properties > Additional Device Properties > Advance tab > uncheck "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device"
• make sure pubg is running in full screen mode and not windowed
  It can be that exclusive control is "on" and pubg window becomes the non selected context window which may loose access to sound resource to some other background app, when you change sound basically you are selecting the context again, which brings the sound back.

Ultimately, I'd delete the tslgame folder, switch steam download server in steam settings and clear steam download cache and then verify the game files to get the fresh ones.
This will delete the config files and reset your game settings so make sure you take notes somewhere.

Hi. I use my mouse wheel click to open and close my inventory screens (toggle). After the 20.1 Update, I can toggle open the inventory like usual, but then when I click the mouse wheel again to close the inventory, it doesn't close, and instead puts up radio messages. Hi, for a few days I have noticed a strange behavior of my CPU while playing pubg, e.g. I'm playing a normal match (the map doesn't matter) and my CPU is about 55 degrees and 25% of the usage.
and this is normal behavior and it is about 75% of the game time
for the remaining 25% of the game time the CPU is 64 degrees Celsius and the usage is at 40% which is not normal behavior anymore
when I enter the task manager to see what's going on, it looks like pubg uses the 37% and other applications and the system use the remaining 3%
I also tested other games such as forza horizon 5, cyberpunk 2077 or rdr2 and there the use of the processor was normal and it did not jump without any reasonable reason

Depends which mission. Some update during the game (you can see progress by clicking Escape), but others only update after your team has been eliminated (like survive until X minute or reach top 10). If it updated in the Escape menu but has not given rewards after going to lobby then try restart the lobby a couple times or wait 20-30 mins

For anyone stuck with 100% usage while playing PUBG, I've got the solution for it. Simply press windows key, type 'edit power plan', change the setting to balance profile and then use these settings. I was suffering with stuttering constantly because CPU was always at 100% usage, even though PUBG wasn't taking all of it, and having input lag constantly, and since I've changed my settings it's fine now.

depending on your processor you might have to adjust the 'maximum processor state' between 90-95%.

Performance tanks on Miramar/Karakin or the first map or two on first game startup now, I was previously maxing 120fps ultra settings 4K with no dips across ALL maps, after new 'patch improvements' Miramar drops to 40fps for a few seconds a couple of times at the start of a match (out of plane) before settling. Ctrl +T --> toggle between disable Audio, open , Push to talk
Ctrl + Y --> toggle between channels all/teams
I would suggest to go via Settings >> audio >> voice chat and set Push to talk, Team only and press 'T' when you speak in game or lobby
when new to game using option via settings might be easier to get hold off. Also sometimes Ctrl +T when in disable doesn't toggle and causes issue.

have you tried driver update - prefer windows WHQL certified version rather than just the latest as sometimes latest may add features for new games but may introduce bugs for earlier.

From your earlier screen shot disk read is 21MB/s and ram used is a lot ! if ram is used a lot then ideally disk reads should be less.
if the driver updates are same run memory test for faulty modules. windows memory diagnostic tool can help you but it takes time.
try and disable XMP option of memory from bios it has helped crashing of pubg for a few players.

Can you remove the launch options specifically the malloc - memory allocation in Linux vs Windows is different I believe vc++ malloc() is in bytes. Yeah they broke it this update. Just for the first match you play after resuming from system shutdown. It’s like everything is loading poorly and the game has a set time just after drop that it tries to load everything and frames drop from 120 to 40/50fps and they bounce around like that up & down for a few minutes then steady out. Never did it before and I had no performance issues prior, so just this dodgy update.

Hey, any ideas why my graphics are like this for like 20-40 seconds after landing and if i enter the houses while they are like this i will just start floating around after 1-2 seconds and not be able to pick up any items. very frustrating and can't find a fix that works.

Disable all overlays. the error details say external software; in this case microsoft xbox bar caused the crash.
Overlays.. steam, discord, nvidia, microsoft game bars should be turned off for better performance / more fps. Try turning them off.

1. laptop or a desktop ? if laptop does it happen with power enabled i.e charger plugged in. sometimes high performance graphic cards are used only when power is on or explicitly mentioned.
2. enable nvidia gpu for pubg in nvidia control panel if you have dual onboard and nvidia.
3. try to disable / close all additional software in startups - 8GB RAM is decent but may not be enough if other programs are running.
4. try less graphic details like low specially Post processing, Anti aliasing & shadows, render scale keep 100 or less if possible.

Has anyone encountered a problem where you can occasionally hear all sounds on the map approximately 50 meters under ground directly under your character. Because that's been severely fucking with me for 3 days now and everyone thinks im crazy and paranoid calling shots that don't exist xD. I should record it, its absurd. I can't hear foot steps and I hear gunfights under ground.

I noticed caught onto it when playing duos with someone standing next to me and couldn't hear them. The shots kept sounding like they were coming from all directions and then I looked down figured out they were under the ground.

Pubg keeps crashing on startup, been playing for a good amount of time. a few days after the last update it just dont. error screen doesnt know it either. it goes through the intro and then black for a moment. then it crashes. these are my specs

(already tried reinstalling, reinstalling on a diffrent drive, on both drives tested the integrety of the files and deleted the cache etc etc)

crash report is just : Unknown crash.

navagio.sys I think was part of the Anticheat. can you ask your friend to do general checks like below not sure about exact fix but worth trying few things

1. latest updates of windows so pubg because of compatibility or some limitation don't go on older files if its setup is built that way.
2. make sure firewall / windows defender has it as exception anti cheat or any general program are low level system processes which could be getting blocked because their activity might feel sus.
3. try to run the game as admin

I returned to PUBG from a long break and in the second game (4-5 mins in) my PC crashed
after restarting the pc i started a new match and the same again
after the second restart AND scanning the data via steam (1 damaged and then repaired) i joined the shooting range (testarea) and the PC crashed
