I wish there was a training mode that used pure bots, like a 1 player vs 5 bots or something like that. The regular training grounds is crap because most of the people that go there just shoot at you non-stop while you're trying to shoot the targets or practicing other stuff, and it's very distracting. It's also very hard to learn in-game because I get killed so instantly all of the time - I even try to go to the most extreme far regions of maps to get away from others, so I can learn how to loot my loadout, but there are always someone or more that follows me to those sites, and get weapons before I can and kill me. They can kill me instantly like its a headshot even when it's not a headshot - they can have the same exact weapon that I have but they shoot one round and I'm already falling to the ground dead before the 2nd, 3rd, etc rounds are fired. And it doesn't matter what gear I am wearing - level 3 everything, it's always instant kills. Hard to learn the game when I'm doing nothing but dying instantly.....

Hello guys! I wanted to ask at what volume you play PUBG? I use realme T110 earbuds (I can't afford good gaming headphones) at 44 - 48 volume. At this volume, I can't hear the footsteps of people in adjacent buildings. Many times, I have seen streamers hear footsteps around them at 20m - 25m where people are lying prone, hiding behind buildings, hiding inside buidlings, holding corners, etc. I am unable to hear these guys. I rush out in these scenarios and get blasted :(.

If I increase my volume beyond 50, I find the sound of gunfire to be unbearable. The beryl/akm seems to be the most loud gun here. My ears hurt beyond 50. I don't want to risk losing my hearing to play PUBG. Can you guys please help me with a solution for this?

Best advice I could give you is first to find the sensitivity that works for you then after that just practice

The vector is very good for close range - not as good range as mp5 but fire rate is best of the lot - it really spits out its bullets seemingly all at once. The kick to using the vector is make sure you have an extended mag for it at least - without that mag it only has 19 rounds of fire, and those will empty out super quick before you realize it, and it would be frustrating to have to reload in the middle of a close-range firefight. But with the ext. mag it has 33 rounds, and those 14 extra rounds make a huge difference......

Sorry but M16, MK47 and VSS are terrible recommendations.
They are super bad and niche weapons and it's definitely not for beginners if they want to have some kills.

For close combat:
SMG - UMP is probably easiest and strongest weapon in game for beginners. MP5 kinda same but recoil might be weird for some people.
AR - M4 or ACE are good beginner ARs when kitted out with attachments. Others need much more practice.

For range:
Any DMR or SR other than the ones listed above.
Mini14 is good for practicing faster shooting at distance, M24 is good to get used to bolts and get some easy knocks.

Attachments won't really make too much difference at start as long as you put something it's good, later on you learn more what to use. But generally vertical is ok grip choice for anything. Compensator is good choice for any barrel tip. Extended magazine always good.
Don't worry too much about attachments, better to shoot without them than spend time looting when there's action happening nearby.

most people have been playing this game since launch so they’re just used to it. i’d recommend going to the practice range and just testing out what works best for you. everyone’s sens settings will be different so there’s no “best settings” just what works best for you

i would recommend using the MP5 or UMP early on to get adjusted to the recoil and how the gun play is. then move to an ACE or M4 and then transition to the AUG

Why, when I find myself in a tight quarters shootout with enemy, does my weapon automatically go to optic view? I don't need a scoped optic to hit an enemy that's right in front of me - in fact, the scoped optic actually works to the detriment of what it is intended for in those instances. I do NOT touch the mouse button for zoomed view/for optic view, but it goes to it on its own. Is there any setting that causes that, that I can disable? It's very frustrating.....

You could try the sound/aim lab in the training grounds. It shoots from different directions and you have to determine the direction the shot came from. Might maybe help you a bit to get a feeling for it. Also, the solo casual game mode (3 games a day) might be a good practice, as bots are there, and they tend to shoot you alot from a distance, but mostly not kill you.

Don't just drive straight into a compound - cars can be heard from far away. Stop nearby and look.

Choose a location that's far from the plane path.

If you're taking the emergency parachute thingie, land not on the compound that you want to take, but on a hill above.

But all of this mostly works for squads, solos is wild west. You never know what's gonna happen there.

No, you can go in and undo the entire partial crafting, then redo it again and craft all of it (including the parts you didn't the first time). But yes, you can't recover a piece you failed to craft. That's gone, unless you use the self-service tool to roll back the action where you did the partial-set crafting.

Or you can try asking Support for help, but that usually takes days if not weeks and might not get you what you want anyway. The self-service tool is a lot faster.

(If you read the actual conversation that the post I sent you to is part of, you'll see that this very same thing worked for the other guy too.)

What would you consider for the best mic settings to hear players. Most of the time I play and I would tell my friends to walk or crouch, I hear their steps and not the people around me.

This game is a bit of a piece of trash. I'm trying squad mode now, and half of the matches I'm either starting with 2 or 3 man teams, or teammates go afk or disconnect at the start of the matches, or both. People keep saying that PUBG Battlegrounds is one of the most populated game around, but then video gaming must suck as an industry, because in BOTH solo and squad modes matches are full of bots, and I can't get full teams to play with. Then, alos in squad mode, the item population in buildings is about half of what I find in solo mode. In solo mode, I can often choose between 2-3 different weapon loadouts in each warehouse, but often all I get in team mode for those large structures is clothing (helmets, backpacks, vests) and throwables. When you're possibly facing not one enemy but FOUR in squad mode, it's highly frustrating to go through buildings at the start and end up with nothing but your penis to fight back with. Spend 3-5 minutes to get into a match, then die in 15 seconds is NOT a quality game. This is a piece of trash.....

Hello, so i am rank bronze 4 RP1.
i have played over 100 ranked games now.
Why do i always get gold and platinum players in my games that kills evryone and get 1k+ damage.
I have checked maybe 50 game stats.

i got 0.3 kd so i kinda only die and never get to fight other bronze 4 rp1 players.

what is even the point of this ranking matchmaking system?

i got it for free, have 1000+ hours in the game and played on an off since beta.

@cloud gust I am playing with Snitzig and have checked stats on tracker.gg and yeah, we are lowest bronze rank but constantly put with high level players. I have even seen Diamond ranks in our games. Are we bugged or something? The team should prob check this, its not normal.

Then its not really a matchmaker, is it? Like imagine if you played CS and you are a silver 1 player but you get put up against DMGs, you would rather not play at all than get those kinds of matches.

And i would heavily challenge the notion that the playerbase is to small. The queue time have never been more than 5 seconds for me. I find it statistically improbable that a game with peak player count just under 1 million cant put togheter 60 players without putting togheter players of wildly different ranks. Especially for Bronze/silver that should probably be the most populated ranks.

Honestly if the rank system is that poor it should just be disabled since its doing basically the opposite of its intended function.

@agile kraken @gaunt pike im guessing there isnt that many players in your elo to fill a server every few minutes, so you/them get filled into same match, im in platinum rank currently, and i´m getting grandmaster players sometimes in same server, because there are not enough of them either to have their own lobby.

its actually nice kinda way to have more challenge in a game, improves your skills alot faster than just shooting noobs or bots.

Most of that million is in the AS region, though. The devs have explained the matchmaking issues in previous dev letters; it's the same problem with them not being able to give most regions map selection.

There's no trick, sadly. Either be patient and keep spending BP on hideout coupons, or throw money at 10-packs or the crafter pass. It's pure gambling.
