But as "!" says, if they're a friend or otherwise someone you trust, it could be fine. (Krafton is known to enforce sanctions for team-killers, and they usually refuse to remove such bans, even with a good explanation, but ymmv.)

When I first started playing, there were YouTube video tutorials on that. It's good to go into Training Mode and practice your jumps to figure out the right angles and speeds.

Hello people. I am new to this server and Discord in general. Please pardon my mistakes, if any.

I want to improve in this game. My main problem is that I can't spot people. I can approximately triangulate the shooter's position. However, I have no idea if the shooter is above me or below me, or where he is hiding. Even if the shooter is some 100 - 200 m in front of me, I will not be able to spot him.

Initially, I assumed that there was an issue with my display. However, I can't spot enemies when I watch other people play. Somehow, other people always spot enemies, without scoping, even if they are 300 m away. I can't spot people who are just 200 m away.

I want to improve upon this. I would be grateful if anyone could give me advice in this regard.

I must add that I play in the SEA server.

It does take practice and experience to train your brain, but eventually you'll get better. (I have over 5k hours and still have trouble spotting people though, so it's not unusual.) You might try the sound trainer in training grounds, which helps with horizontal location at least. Also, try the !tips command here for other tips.

But basically, just stop moving for a moment (have cover, though) and let your screen be static; your eyes will pick up enemy motion more easily that way than if everything on the screen is moving.

That helps for a start.

Thanks - I will do that in future instances. This has happened several times: one occasion, two guys worked together to form a automobile barrier on a bridge where they stood side-by-side on, shooting anyone who drove onto the bridge during a phase transition where the safe zone shifted from one side of a river to another, then taking their vehicles and adding the dead's vehicles to the barricade. They coordinated moving the cars, then when the blue zone passed over their area, they got in separate cars and followed each away. Another occasion there were at least two guys up on a hill behind rocks coordinating shooting down at others, where both were in clear sight of each other but were not shooting at each other, even well after I had died to them (I spectated both scenarios after getting killed).

In both cases, one used an AR and the other a sniper rifle......

I am so-so regarding training mode - there are about 80-90% of people that frequent training mode, that all they are there for, is to troll and harass others there. They can't kill you, but they can consistently shoot at you in the head while you are trying to train on things, and distract you, making training mode fairly pointless. There are a few that truly go there to practice things, but the rest just immediately troll from spawn.....

Here's some observations in my early playing of the game: I paradrop to a section of a town - another player also drops down next to me. We go into adjacent buildings simultaneously. I go straight to a AR, pick it up plus 30 rds of ammo, load the ammo, and run out of the building. The next player nextdoor also runs out, and we fight it out. I'm lucky to kill him, then I check his box: He has everything - multiple medkits, magazines, grips, optics, large amount of ammo, helmets and other armor, etc. I just had anough time to pick up a AR and 30 rds, nothing else. We looted the same exact time each - there's other "stuff" in my building, but I chose to fight once I had a gun and some ammo. Do players get to a level where they can have large loadouts already on them upon landing from the drop??

• Practice good communication: Call out the location of enemies (orally, or with a ping marker using F3 or middle click) so teammates can spot the enemies more quickly and bring supporting fire to bear. Ping empty slots on your weapons (in inventory, mouse over and ping the slot) to tell your teammates what attachments you need, and ping ground loot to mark the loot for your teammates. Remember to clear old markers to remove distracting ping clutter.

• Spectate to observe other players when you are defeated in a match. Seeing how others play the game can help you discover good strategies to use - and mistakes to avoid.

  • Note: Normally the game will not spectate a bot, so if a bot killed you, usually the game will choose another nearby human player to spectate rather than the bot.

• Use the in-game replay feature to review matches and gain insights, including being able to see the action unfold from another player's point of view or a bird's-eye view.

Some more observations: They say you cannot shoot while you are driving a vehicle. You must get into a secondary seat in order to shoot. You can continue to hold W/forward key and your vehicle will continue to coast forward instead of slamming on the brakes when you shift to a secondary seat. Unless this is old info, this is untrue: other players have continue to shoot at me while continuing to drive their vehicle - the engine is still revving and they are steering their vehicle as they shoot. I also have been chased by other players in vehicles, and watched them shoot at me with gun firebursts coming from their driver seat as they continue to drive forward after me.

PUBG Tips for Snipers:

• When firing a sniper rifle while aiming down sights (ADS), you can hold the left mouse button to remain in scoped / ADS view; this lets you watch your bullet and see its impact location. The bolt cycling animation will start once you release the trigger, taking you temporarily out of ADS. (If you just click-and-release the LMB to fire, the chambering animation happens immediately, which prepares the next shot more quickly but which also makes it impossible to see exactly where your shot goes.)

• The 2x, 3x, and 4x scopes have fixed zeroing at 100 meters, meaning that at that distance (with some variance depending on the weapon), a bullet should hit right about where the center dot of the reticle is in ADS view. Significantly farther targets require aiming above the desired target point to compensate for bullet drop. Significantly closer targets require aiming a bit below the target point to compensate for the scope being physically above the weapon's barrel. (In other words, at close range, the bullet will strike a bit below the aim point because you're looking down the scope, not down the barrel.)

• The 6x, 8x, and 15x scopes all have adjustable zeroing, which means that you can use the PGUP and PGDN buttons to change the zeroing distance in 100-meter increments. when u get shot u dont know the location u r getting shot from u dont have to logically speaking

u know the general direction in most cases

and then see where the bullet is hitting on the ground or wall and that leaves out most directions that the shot is not gonna hit there from. so u peek at the direction and look vertically not horizontally to determine location and distance

I'm not sure if that post is just trolling or serious, but I'll give a serious answer: Clans give you a regular group to play with, more than just one squad of friends. It becomes a fun community to be a part of. And yes, there are the (very small) clan cache rewards, with like 0.6% chance of g-coin or something. But mainly it's about finding people to play with regularly that you enjoy playing with.

Easy, FPP is more realistic/challenging and should be the standard for an actual competitive game. Especially in Ranked modes. Being able to peek around corners, over ledges, and around trees while in TPP is not realistic. FPP is typically more popular in western countries. NA's ranked mode is FPP and the EU offers both.

no there is not. there are around 9 maps in the game, and every few weeks there's a selected map pool, usually made up of about 5 of those 9 maps. Matches are then randomly assigned from that pool.

it’s tough, trust me i know. this game is totally unforgiving and punishing compared to other BRs. for most maps, you can land somewhere in the middle and get a good pull or at the very least be in first zone. after playing enough you’ll recognize flight paths and play zones and how they’re all connected to the final circle.

Depends on what you want; in the store proper, you can filter to see what's available for G-Coin or BP, those are mostly clothing and gear skins, but there are a few faces, hairstyles, weapons, etc. You can spend BP to get up to 50 Contraband Coupons each week, which let you (for 10 a pop) try your luck in the Hideout for some of the nicer weapons skins. The Artisan tokens are acquired from the Artisan chests and some events, and they are spent in the Workshop's "Special Crafting" section on some skin packages (100 tokens each), or the embarrassingly-overpriced Contender skin (takes an arm and a leg to upgrade for something that will look completely identical to every other player's same Contender skin).

I guess that's most of what you need to know. If you want skins for your character's outfit, get Hunter crates with your BP. If you want weapon skins, work on getting Contraband Coupons.

And if you get a progressive weapon skin (they're rare) in the Hideout, you can use a combination of Schematics (also rare) and polymers (acquired by salvaging other weapon skins) to upgrade the progressive skin.

I save up my G-Coin for use in the Hideout (yes, the Contraband chests), but sometimes I find things in the store I want to spend it on too. I don't buy Archivist chests; we get enough of them from Survivor passes and occasional event freebies that I don't feel the need to buy more.

You get scrap for spending G-Coin in the Hideout, so once you have enough, you can buy stuff in there that catches your eye.

I think at 500 hours it's knowledge of terrain and compounds that's the stumbling block. How to position yourself to limit angles from third parties whilst having solid angles yourself is tricky, just gotta be conscious of it until map knowledge makes it second nature.

There is a self-service tool that you can use to revert a workshop operation: https://www.pubgselfservice.com/home It defaults to Chinese language (Krafton's biggest userbase), but if you use it in Chrome, Chrome can use Google Translate to change it to English. Then once you're in the new work order (restoration order) details, you can change it from Chinese to English. (See the screen shot.)

Hopefully that way you can get the imprint back and then be able to craft it again (with all the components you want).

Could be your headphones - I have a decent pair that are great for music, but somehow give terrible directional audio when it comes to footsteps.

You could also try switching on or off the HRTF toggle, it's in the audio settings.

It's some fancy software technology for 3d audio. Head Related Transfer Function, I think. Won't hurt to try. But if it's just you being doggy dog, there's an arena in training mode where you can practice gunshot direction detection.

Hi, i once read a debate somewhere i managed to google it long ago but i can't find it now, so long story short my question is that is it still matters if one plays from wifi or with proper cable connection? or the difference today is so miniscule that it makes no differnce?

I feel like there is a lot less to almost no packet loss with wired connections which impacts gravely with the issue you are facing so in my opinion wired connection is always better

That's probably not the major bottleneck, unless your wifi router hardware is performing poorly for some reason... but it's worth testing and comparing. More likely it's issues upstream with the server, server connection, etc. And there have been various issues with Nvidia drivers lately, so it could be any number of things.

Moreover, you really can't trust the replay to show accurately what actually happened in-game.

The in-game replay system recreates a match based on compressed saved game data; it is not a video recording. Because of this, it is not always entirely accurate. The reticles in particular often do not accurately show exactly where weapons were pointing, even though the damage location itself is recorded just as it happened in the game.

Bear in mind too that skillful players often aim with their center dot before quickly going into ADS and firing right after, to increase bullet accuracy over simply hip-firing. The animation of the scope view coming up can make it look like the player's aim is snapping onto the target when their center dot is actually already on target.

Although the replay is not an exact replica of the match, it does show player positioning, facing, and movement reasonably well. And it makes for some neat cinematics that you can export and use to make videos for sites such as YouTube.

Yes i suspect something in these because there are situations where i do 100% accurate headshots but it won't register. The other day i practiced on the training map where 2/10 times direct headsots just went past but didn't hit. In other situations where chances were even on ranked matches i get dealt with sometimes below 0.2 to 0.3 seconds while everything i do feels sluggish might try cable instead thanks!

I think there are quite an extensive amount of cheaters on free - I have only been playing free for a short while now, but brought an experience to this channel where two plyers were teaming up together on solo mode to block a bridge and shooting people who tried to drive across due to the blue zone. I didn't report that because I didn't truly know if that was allowed, but was told here that teaming up is definitely a no-no on solo mode, so that's cheating. Then on another occasion on the snow map I was in a building upstairs, and it was one that had an entrance through the kitchen - someone came in to the kitchen and pointed up at the ceiling to where I was and shot me through the wall. I did report that one and got a message later that the player was banned..........for all of 24 hours. There's no telling how many times I've been killed instantly from players who are cheating to find me. This game seems rife with it, ufortunately.....

PUBG Tips, part 1:

Use the Training Grounds!

• Practice recoil control with various weapons and attachments while aiming and shooting at a spot on a wall; this will also let you see the bullet impact points

• Use the sound trainer to get better at using the sounds of enemy gunfire to quickly and accurately locate enemies

• Practice dropping from the plane and controlling the parachute to land where you want to

• Gain experience with cooking grenades and throwing them accurately

• Use the target ranges to understand and adjust for bullet drop at different ranges with different weapons, to practice with various scopes and the zeroing feature of some scopes and iron sights, and to get better at hitting moving targets

Note: To equip weapons, armor, backpacks, ammo, etc. in training mode, use the equipment key/button, which defaults to comma (or left angle bracket): <, or for console Xbox: back button (double window) PS: touchpad

• Practice good communication: Call out the location of enemies (orally, or with a ping marker using F3 or middle click) so teammates can spot the enemies more quickly and bring supporting fire to bear. Ping empty slots on your weapons (in inventory, mouse over and ping the slot) to tell your teammates what attachments you need, and ping ground loot to mark the loot for your teammates. Remember to clear old markers to remove distracting ping clutter.

• Spectate to observe other players when you are defeated in a match. Seeing how others play the game can help you discover good strategies to use - and mistakes to avoid.

  • Note: Normally the game will not spectate a bot, so if a bot killed you, usually the game will choose another nearby human player to spectate rather than the bot.

• Use the in-game replay feature to review matches and gain insights, including being able to see the action unfold from another player's point of view or a bird's-eye view.

  • Note: Replay (PC only) is a reconstruction of the match from summary data, not a recording, so certain parts will be inaccurate: such as the precision of where a character is aiming vs. where the bullets actually went. Even if the replay shows a character aiming at one point but the bullets hitting at another point, that is a flaw in the replay system, not evidence of cheating.
  • The death cam is also inaccurate; it shows opponent locations but doesn't accurately show how they shot you.

• Watch online training / how-to videos: For example, WackyJacky101's YouTube channel has dozens of videos designed to help players get better, including videos explaining how to use the various weapon sights and scopes effectively, how far away footsteps and gunshots (including silenced gunshots) are audible, and why peeking to the right around cover is safer than peeking to the left.
