Hey this is not foxhole related but, my pc fully freezes after playing a specific game called Of guards and thieves. It does it a couple times a day, more and more frequently, for some reason my processor goes a bit hot on this game, the max temperature it has gotten according to hdwmonitor is 56 degrees celsius which i dont think it's that high, even if it is, why would the pc just freeze? other than that i dont think there would be other reason for it to do so. I'm not sure tho, i have a ryzen 3 2200g processor.

no my pc never crashes or has crashed, its only this freezing problem on this game, the freezing has happened a handful of times in the past but not this much, i would play games like gta 5, rust, or some other games that are way more needy, in terms of pc specs, but i guess there's something about this game that makes my pc freeze, something that the os can't handle(?)

From the channel #bug-reports @worn forge not a bug, it’s never been reported because almost nobody willingly goes in front of a foxhole or pillbox when it’s trying to fire at the enemy. I’ve been shot by a friendly foxhole plenty of times, that’s because I accidentally step in front of it while it’s trying to fire at an enemy. People in the game do the same thing too, if you get in front of a comrade’s rifle who’s returning fire at the enemy, you might interrupt the line of fire just as they pull the trigger and you get shot. My tip is to avoid foxholes while they’re firing, not a bug man.

Foxholes do keep shooting at downed enemies meaning that it's better to wait for the foxhole to stop shooting, not for the enemy being down

No? I didn't walk in front of the foxhole i was on the very oppsoite side, it shot the enemy and then shot me out of of nowhere, also i was standing near a wall, and the enemy was away from me and getting shot, and i was not in the way, yet the foxhole thought that it should indeed shoot me.

hey guys. i would like to know where foxhole saves local windows account specific settings. i would like to delete those for my windows user "A" because whenever i run foxhole from user "A" it has micro lags every 2s which coincide with the foxhole thread RAM usage increasing and then decreasing by ~4GB when viewed from taskmanager. Im not sure what is causing this but have a workaround. After fiddling around for a while (updating all drivers and OS, verifying integrity and reinstalling of foxhole itself) i just switched the windows user to another admin account "B" from which i run the same steam and foxhole installation - no microlags, no RAM useage spikes. So its related to some account specific settings of eigther foxhole itself or some other related software or driver setting. so where are the local foxhole settings because i want to delete those.

Hey so i'm having an issue where I cant even play the game. It worked fine a few days ago but now when i get on it drops from a smooth fps rate to like 2 FPS and then will eventually crash saying "Error: Unreal Engine is exiting due to D3D device being lost"

@frigid stratus make sure you set the right output device in windows sound control panel, possibly a restart needed; maybe a conflict with discord audio, also; I know other people here have had the issue (and I think solved it) but I cannot remember the exact solution without searching this channel

I've been having the "Falied to download profile[1]" error since even before patch 26, I workaround by just keep spamming the Play button and eventually it will load my profile in order to Deploy and start playing.
Or just wait for a couple of mins and try again.
(i think this error started to happen since patch 24 or 25 if i recall, it can confuse a lot of new players mistaking the game is broken)

Player is able to join the Home Region. However, when they look at the War Tent, all the regions are grayed out and unable to be joined. Additionally, an alert appears in the top left corner that says
War Service connection failed. Error: ConnectionFailed-Could not initialize connection.
Those affected have said that this did not happen to them until the recent update.

@kindred lynx you can try testing with mobile hotspot or VPN to see if its a network connection problem (it only affects voice)
you can also try voicemeeter to proxy your sound card - i dont know if the sound card bug with vivox still exists

you know these people having issue joining regions after home region - foxiboi said he packet sniffed it - so it was http traffic. maybe people with this project are getting their http stuff rewritten by a router or local spyware or something

I have exhausted all of the support page options in regards to the "Failed to download shard status..." promptly followed by "Lost connection to server. Please try again...." This has happened at every attempt to get past the "Deploy" screen for the past month and through this newest patch. The game went from working fine, with a few hiccups on occasion, to not playable at all. I haven't changed ISP, and I am running on the same PC I used to play over 140 hours in game. What is going on? Any help for this?

I live in a rural area with my only internet being a 4gLTE hotspot. I was finally able to get past the deployment screen and play several hours tonight. What I did that fix my issue (or seemed to) was going in and manually setting an APN on a different network.

For the past couple of months, the voice chat in the game has been extremely laggy for me. I was hoping any one of the recent updates would fix it, but it doesn't seem that is going to happen. I followed the instructions for both DNS and Vivox in #technical-read-first⚠ and they did not work.

Every half a second or perhaps a second, voice chat transmitted by other players cuts out, and then immediately resumes. This always happens consistently, causing me to miss short words like "a" or "the." I can still understand people quite well though.

On my end, when I try to talk in voice, people have said I am not understandable. Apparently I am also very laggy. This has made me resort to vocal chat even though I prefer voice, which is frustrating because it is difficult to text in combat.

This is the only game this happens in. My voice chat is clear in Discord and in other games like Overwatch and CSGO.

I can provice DxDiag, etc. If required. <@&521124241395941396>

ok so I fixed it I restored my foxhole file in steam to an earlier version (before update 26) then I redownloaded the update. Idk why the validation didn't pick up on what ever was wrong but that is how I fixed it

the only last thing i have, and i think its a really stupid longshot, is that there seems to be a driver problem with vivox and some audio devices;
the solution has been to use a virtual sound card and proxy the sound effects through it. But like I said I think 8-6-0 is a legitimate network problem. Here's the link in case you want to read it tho:

Hello i have problem with crossing borders time to time, just infinite loading screen, i am alt+f4 and after i cannot join to same "body" where i crossed, lossing all stuff when joining to region from what i want to cross and where to i want cross. So much pissing off when it happen while you doing partisans in backlines, where no points with free spawn. How its can be fixed?
