<@&282920218462912512> I recently read a discussion about changing the firearms models to make them less "real life". It inspired me to design a rifle of my own: the Duelin T.IV!

It uses the in-game 7.62mm (although in a 10-shot clip for artistic porposes) and can be equiped with rifle-grenades and a bayonet. Its still a bolt action rifle. For reloading, a button on the let side is pushed, allowing the clip-guard to hinge forward. Then a clip can be inserted and the guard can be closed again. This is a quite unique reloading mechanism, making it more distinct from real life rifles.

@south hinge <@&282920218462912512> Updated the design with a working bolt and ejection system (as the Duelin T.VI).

It system works as the following:
(1)A little bulge is added to the bolt which (2) can rotate thru its groove. (3) Then, it can be pulled back into a horizontal groove and it will stop at the end. (4) It's not shown here, but a little spring will eject the empty cartridge when the bolt is pulled back far enough (and the spring will be pushed down again by moving the bolt forward). 7.62mm bolt-action rifle Duelin (working name) with 10-shot clips and the possibility for equiping riflegrenades and bayonets.
A fan-made rifle concept for Foxhole. There are several rifles in this model. Each has its name on the side for identification. The different variants are designated:
Duelin T.I --- Very first concept of the rifle, giving it his form;
Duelin T.II --- A more realistic variant, with a hinging magazine cover;
Duelin T.III --- Prototype for fitting an actual clip, with upgrade bolt and butt-stock;
Duelin T.IV --- Version with a 10-shot clip. Small changes were made and a change in the barrel allows to equip rifle grenades and a bayonet (I wanted to make the clip 12 long, but it made it weird to look at, because it would be more logical to use a magazine at that point);
Duelin T.V --- Prototype with a (kinda) working loading mechanism which prevents the bolt from falling out;
Duelin T.VI --- Latest version with a full-steel bolt, modified magazine, a system to eject the empty cartridge and some minor changes.

7.62mm bolt-action rifle Duelin (working name) with 10-shot clips and the possibility for equiping riflegrenades and bayonets.
A fan-made rifle concept for Foxhole. There are several rifles in this model. Each has its name on the side for identification. The different variants are designated:
Duelin T.I --- Very first concept of the rifle, giving it his form;
Duelin T.II --- A more realistic variant, with a hinging magazine cover;
Duelin T.III --- Prototype for fitting an actual clip, with upgrade bolt and butt-stock;
Duelin T.IV --- Version with a 10-shot clip. Small changes were made and a change in the barrel allows to equip rifle grenades and a bayonet (I wanted to make the clip 12 long, but it made it weird to look at, because it would be more logical to use a magazine at that point);
Duelin T.V --- Prototype with a (kinda) working loading mechanism which prevents the bolt from falling out;
Duelin T.VI --- Latest version with a full-steel bolt, modified magazine, a system to eject the empty cartridge and some minor changes.

As you can see here in the x-ray, my rifle would be loaded from under, but yours seems to be loaded from the top? And your bolt-mechanism differs from mine a lot (I ❤ the bolt-lock). Since your rifle is Warden, mine could be Colonial and it would be logical they would resemble a bit. Looking forward to a 3d model.

Oh please, I'm an amateur myeslf when it comes to modelling in Blender (you'll see soon why). And that's pretty tricky, but in my experience, I just go on about taking the picture in the back of blender and use that as a reference when modelling things

@topaz citrus My newest model added that: the spring isn't directly under the ammo, but is more in front and pushes an arm which moves the ammo upwards. When the magazine cover is released, the spring-system will extent less than when a spring is directly in the magazine cover (see my previous models). I used this system because I wanted it to be bottom loaded. You can see the system in more detail with my Sketchup link
