I think right now we have one major clan pug stomping everything in their path. It is real damn hard to fight a force that has alot more manpower and experiance. Its to the point where whatever side PUG is on that side wins the majority of the time. Now its all down to PUG. PUG has most of the experianced players that wins whatever side there on. You devs hopefuly seen what happens when you are on the receiving the PUG. Im going to be takeing a break from foxhole again becuase PUG is just a force that fucks whatever side there agenst.

after we switched to saltbrook, they steam rolled the southeastern front.

The funny thing is, looking at your plan, you had an errily similarity to ours. So after we locked down the basics, and the cohesion we rely on to get through the worst of things wore off, I broke and started scouting. At the discovery of an extremely, poorly defended Saltbrook, I relayed the information. Orders: satchels and grenades. Some mortars asa bit of an after though. Ballistic had set up mines on the road even, since we figured we'd be fending off vicious waves of colonials... which never came.
Cue me stepping on a landmine to take the fast track back base.

Concerning respect for the sides-- I don't have respect for all. Japs commited terrible atrocities, but there are some exceptional individuals deserving of respect. Same priciple applies to the Germans, and Soviets. The Allies generally get support from me, except for a few nations, like France, that had populations that didn't have the commitment to fight. The early leader's of the Allies for the duration of the invasions of Poland and France have little support from me. The Soviets have nothing, save for a baseline respect of the action of the citizens sacrificed to stop a war machine that had previously been unstoppable.

In short - its a pretty expensive friggen way to clear a reasonably small area. I think only in very specific circumstances will this kind of artillery battery make sense in an actual game.
I hope the devs see this and give us more artillery ammo types so a battery like this makes more sense in the future β€
