9-5 is banker hours. Worker hours are anywhere from 5-2 to 6-3 to 7-4.

These early day hours are what the majority of jobs are scheduled for. Grocers, factory workers, you name it.

9-5 is what middle class jobs are scheduled for. Accountants, engineers, financiers, etc.

Although you also have to account for afternoon/evening/graveyard shift jobs too, which skews the data.

People really like it not just because of the fence, but also because its kinda the perfect distance from the rest of the town to where massive hordes don't wander over for no reason but at the same time you can still get to loot places and back in a good time span, even without a vehicle

Alright. So any tips on How to make it through the first few days

The first few days are when there are the fewest zombies, so that's when you want to try to gather as much as you can. I like to go to the big warehouse at the north side of town on the main road, because you can almost always get away with an axe, saw, hammer, nails, welding gear, sheet metal, etc. And the sooner you get fortified, the better.

Also the life and living tv channel has shows at six am, noon, and six pm that actually boost your skill levels a lot by watching, so definitely stay near a TV during those times

Also, I've been of the opinion that most of the current difficulty settings have a bit too many zombies at the start, so I use a custom one that reduces it a bit in exchange for even more later

Oh yeah. Hilarious amounts. But it's generally slow enough to where you don't notice day to day. I don't really keep playing into the "late game" in single player, because in my opinion there's really not all that much to do once you've got renewable food, a literal citadel, a military grade arsenal, etc etc. But they rolled multi-player back out a little bit ago, it was gone for a while because the big update broke it, and I might try that.

Like, if you sequestered yourself in an isolated cabin on day two, then came back out on day ninety, you'd be like holy crap, but if you went in and out on runs on a regular basis it's so gradual you barely notice

Also - out of courtesy, I will go ahead and warn you about the biggest middle finger the game will give you. At like, day seven or so, a helicopter flies over the area looking for survivors. But it's not a rescue helicopter, its an observation helicopter. If it spots you, it follows you around hovering over you, and since zombies are attracted to sound...you do the math.

How to Get guns or any weapon at all

you can find em in gunstores, police zombies/departments/vehicles, and sometimes in homes

The funny thing is, because the devs aren't American, the early builds basically had no guns, like a couple of shotguns across the whole town, and when people complained the devs were like "well its not realistic for most houses to have guns in them", and its worth remembering the game is set in rural Kentucky so EVERYONE LAUGHED

But guns aren't worth it, for the most part. They draw zombies from VERY far away

Just find a good melee weapon and don’t fight too many zombies at once

There's a certain style of looping footwork you learn

If you watch lets plays you'll probably notice it

Swing, back up, get space, make sure there's none behind you, let them close the distance into your swing range, repeat

You can outpace most zombies even in the ready-to-swing stance, so use that to your advantage. Even if you don't kill the zombie you hit, they're staggered for a second, or even fall down. That helps break up the group so after a while they're strung out and not bunched up,, and only one is approaching at a time. That's when you can really let loose.

So i have a question for the devs. A member in our group came up with the idea of a cross map race. They drew a course out. Now i was thinking what if we did this during a resistance faze, have all the big clans enter a team and stream this. We could use it to raise money and bring awareness to a charity. @quaint marsh There was no proposed change to the Clancey in my suggestion, unless the devs decided to lower the Clancey range to match the Auger. The proposed change does not reduce clancey power, nor does it buff the augers. It would still take 2 hits from the auger to kill someone. It would just mean that instead of simply being shot from fog of war, if you can see us, then we could also see you (nighttime excluded) which makes the sniper battle a skill match instead of just numbers. I think that would make for more compelling gameplay (especially bridge battles) if you actually had competition. So thank you for actually reading what I put instead of just arguing to argue ❤️ (P.S I can't see what he is saying. I blocked him the moment he wanted to compare different things to make an argument for himself)

Auger is garbage, We all agree, but we must all also agree, that there should be assymetry, Collies as they are designed to be an offensive faction should have rifles which are ment to attack and support attacks from medium/short range. Wardens on the other side, as they are clearly a defensive faction should have weapons that are better at preventing enemy from reaching Wardens defences (higher range).

My proposition to re-balance weapons is:

-Remove Auger (sorry, but it is so bad, that you can't make it a good weapon)

-Warden long rifles:

-Shoot slower
-Higher range in comparison to the Colonial ones
-Bigger magazine
-Slower reload time (just a little)
-You run slower with them (just a little)
-Little more damage

-Colonial long rifles:

-Shoot faster
-Shorter range in comparison to the Warden ones
-Smaller magazine
-Normal reload time
-No movement penalty
-Little less damage

In my proposal, Warden long rifles are clearly for defensive playstyle, while the Collie long rifles are ment to supporting attacks.

Actually it does. You see when you create the term free to play you also create an understanding that its "What it says on the tin" yet ever since the creation of this marketing term to lure in players to pad out the worlds for new age MMOs so that paying customers would feel the worlds are filled.
You couldnt compete in that market back then with payed/monthly subscription games so they created their own faux market, most of those games get forgotten and then turned off leading to the 2016-2018 inception of games as a service under the belief that players would not demand to be treated better when they didnt pay.

Or in short the companies know you are addicted and dont care to improve on this aspect because thats what is keeping their game going since it creates a flow of customers faster then just paying for a game once.

Even this game foxhole has sworn off from in-game purchases instead relying solely on you buying the game once and its interesting that this has become applaudable today when that was just how we used to market games.

Fun fact: ww 1 tanks have genders. If it has a cannon it's male, if it has only machine guns, it's female.
This practice was dropped near the end of the war due to many new tank designs having both cannons and machine guns making most tanks hermaphrodites and there for rendering the distinction meaningless

Side note: cannons were male because ... it's fairly obvious why the ones with large guns would be male. However the female tanks were less to fit the binary system (since they were the first to be gendered) and instead because they played a protective motherly role to the infantry
