Anyways, this story, 3 truck convoy 1 Hauler, 2 Speartip, 5 players all driving to a front to deliver crates and become infantry, don't remember which hex, one of the gunners was a pickup from the hex before, other gunner was a dedicated convoy member, Hauler driver called out he was getting shot at from the left so the speartips (admittedly clumsily since this wasnt a practiced move) pulled off to block the rounds on the Hauler and get the MGs on the partisans, myself and the other driver dismounted with Dusks and ran at the Partisans, a LOT of ammo (and a Boma) later and the Hauler and the more damaged speartip were fixed up and we completed the deliveries.

in lore colonials are the invention faction, and wardens are more traditional. I genuinely think this influences the vehicle designs, which is is why alot of the warden designs, while effective, are somewhat antiquated.

So maybe these new "flying machines" are just a bit too recent for them? From a design standpoint

I think the reason that collie vics get so little fanfare and flavor text is because, in-universe, they're basically just whatever works. There are no legends or poems written about the falchion. Its the dirt-cheap medium tank that was invented like (relatively) recently

Whereas all the warden stuff is super cherished and legendary. Its been the exact same for 100 years and continues to work

...but, as a mostly collie player the minimal flavor text is still sad
