How do I setup Giveaways?

Configuring The Module

Head to the dashboard, log in, and select your server.
Select the Modules tab and click on Giveaways.

Ensure the module is enabled, otherwise Giveaways will not work!

Click Create Giveaway button to create a new giveaway.
Add your Giveaway Title, Prize Details (optional), start time (Premium), end time, # of winners, and channel the giveaway message will be sent to.
Under the Options, Image, Entry Options, and Permissions tabs, there are other settings you can change. Click the ? next to each one to learn more about what it does. You can also check out our docs for in-depth explanations on each option.
Click Create Giveaway to finalize and send your giveaway to Discord!

Things To Note

Don't forget you can also share the link to the giveaway page that is automatically created- just click on the title of the giveaway message!
Select your Editor Roles. Members with these roles will be able to create/manage giveaways through the bot and edit giveaways through the giveaway page.
All servers can have a max of 50 winners.

Required Permissions

If Dyno does not have the Administrator permission, make sure Dyno's role has the following permissions in the relevant channel(s):

What is Server Listing and how do I set it up?

Server Listing is a listing service for Discord servers using Dyno that offers users a completely fair and unbiased list of servers for you to explore and join! You can find it here.

How do I set it up?

Head to the dashboard, log in, and select your server.
Select Server Listing from the menu list.

Make sure to turn the Listed slider to the enabled position!

Fill in some details about your server.
Select the Save button to list your server.

Notes

It may take a few minutes for your server to be discoverable.
If you do not see your server's icon, don't fret, it can take some time for it to load in.

Action log is not working

Troubleshooting Steps

Use the command ?diagnose actionlog or /diagnose command_or_module: actionlog for slash commands. If the module is disabled, run ?module actionlog or /module module: actionlog to enable it.
If the log concerned is Message Delete, please see the following:

Dyno will not log deleted message older than the last 10 messages in that channel. This means that the 11th message and above will not be logged. With Dyno Premium, this limit is 100 messages per channel.
Messages sent by bots will not be logged
If the message only contains an attachment, but no actual content, Dyno will not log the attachment. This may result in the log showing no content for the message.
You can use the Image Delete option to log the first image attachment (others, if there are more than one image, will not be logged)

If you recently performed a large action (e.g. mass role) or had a raid in your server, your action logs may have become backlogged. You may be able to identify this by looking at the timestamp on the embed and comparing it to when the message was actually sent. This happens as a result of Discord ratelimits, and should resolve itself after some time. If it still isn't resolved after a few hours, feel free to reach out for additional support.

How do I set up Autoban?

Configuring The Module

Select the Modules tab and click on Auto Ban

Ensure the module is enabled, otherwise Auto Ban will not work!

Click on Create Rule
Give your Auto Ban rule a name, select a rule type and complete the other options if necessary

If you want the user to be DMed when they get banned, tick the relevant option.

Click Save, and you're all set!

How do I setup Autoroles?

Configuring The Module

Head to the dashboard, log in and select your server.
Select the Modules tab and click on Autoroles

Ensure the module is enabled, otherwise Autoroles will not work!

Click the Settings button underneath the Autoroles module.
In the Select Role box, select the role you want Dyno to give users upon join.
You can also add a Delay for Dyno to either add or remove the role, leave this option blank however if you wish Dyno to add the role immediately on user join.
Select if you want Dyno to add or remove the role from the user.
Click the Add button and you’re all done!

Things To Note

The Dyno role should be physically higher than the role you want Dyno to give (gif below).

Required Permissions

If Dyno does not have the Administrator permission, make sure Dyno has the following permissions:

How do I send my command response to a different channel?

There are 2 different ways to send the command response to a different channel:

Click on the Permissions tab underneath the Command field and select your channel in the Response Channel option dropdown.
Add the {require:#channel} variable to your command, replacing "channel" with your channel name. If your channel contains emoji or other special characters, this option may not work for you and you should refer to option one.

Will Dyno send my appeal link when it bans someone?

If you have set up appeals using the moderation module, Autoban will not send the appeals link when it bans a user. However if you have enabled the DM Member option for Autoban, Dyno will message the user stating that they have been banned.

Dyno is simply a service used to moderate users, and as such, Dyno Staff cannot help you with moderation issues from other servers. If you believed you were mistakenly banned or there was another issue, you must attempt to contact the staff of the server where you were banned. You can ask a friend to do this on your behalf or see if the server has any other social media. If the server has a Dyno appeal form set up, the link would have been DMed to you when you were banned.

Beyond Council and Developers, our staff team is comprised of Support Team members who are the Dyno experts, Moderators to keep the server friendly, and Community Staff who focus on making the server engaging and inviting. See #welcome for some more details.

We do not have open applications or have a way to recommend someone for joining the team. All staff roles are manually given to those we deem to be a good fit based on merit after being proven an active and supportive member in our community. All you can do is be a friendly face, supportive of other members, and active within the server. We are always on the lookout for new faces who are a good fit for the team!

How 2 Change Muted Role

If you would like Dyno to use an existing role for mute:
1. Delete the current Muted role used by Dyno.
2. Rename the role you want Dyno to use to Muted.
3. Mute a user.
4. Dyno should now use the existing Muted role.
5. You can now rename the existing role back to the original name.

Slowmode is not working

Troubleshooting Steps

Make sure the slowmode module is enabled. You can easily check this by running ?diagnose slowmode or /diagnose command_or_module: slowmode for slash commands.
Dyno slowmode works by deleting messages, it does not prevent messages from sending like Discord's built-in slowmode. It will not delete the messages of server moderators, admins or the server owner. User Slowmode deletes the messages of a single user if they type over the interval. Channel Slowmode deletes the messages of all users collectively in the channel, so that only 1 person can type per the interval.
If you would like to use Discord's built-in slowmode, you can use the discord subcommand.

Required Permissions

If Dyno does not have the Administrator permission, make sure Dyno's role has the following permissions in the relevant channel(s):

Wildcard means that Dyno will respond if the keyword or phrase appears anywhere in the message. So for example if the trigger was cat dyno would respond to "I like cats".
This applies to various modules including autoresponder and automod.
Note: This would also mean Dyno would respond to category, so be careful when adding certain phrases.

If you believed you were mistakenly banned or there was another issue, you must attempt to contact the staff of the server where you were banned. You can ask a friend to do this on your behalf or see if the server has any other social media. If the server has a Dyno appeal form set up, the link would have been DMed to you when you were banned.
