Turning corners isn't really a skill you can perfectly do right, it doesn't matter how much tight control you have over it
Especially since it comes to speed and relative positioning

And when you take turns you bleed velocity even just minimally
and you also change your path length relative to someone who is chasing you

And in chases if someone is right behind you and anticipate you turning a corner they can just hit you anyways, instead of getting distance you just get in their hit range easily since theyre still coming at you in straight forward momentum

Usually when it comes to turning it depends on how much velocity you retain after said turn because if you try to do it perfectly you just kill your momentum too much

There are probably more people qualified than me who can speak on this but I’d say try to not overlook spots, sometimes it’s easiest to miss the simplest ones, try practising seeking as fast as possible (cause then you can do multiple laps of seeking, at least on most maps) but also do a slightly slower pace, sometimes, cause being thourough is also important
