I’m gonna be honest about this update.
First of all, I dislike the lightning menu. Second, widget watch, despite being responsive, feels clunky especially on console where there is a white cursor for some reason that spawns in the middle of the screen. And why is WW so tiny?? It feels like a nightmare for accessibility. And while it’s been made clear by the community, it really needs to feel more consistent. There are three UI styles present in the game, all of them drastically different, and very disorienting.

I like where it’s headed, though, and hope to see improvement. I believe in quothy!

sadly i think the devs or higher-ups are dead set on the game being a "radically cross-platform social UGC experience." they've kinda gotten themselves stuck in a pickle too:

  • if they insist on their vision, they'll further alienate veteran players and decrease their chances on having newer long-term players like us
  • if they try to revert everything, they won't be able to make any money cause of how far the game has shifted to UGC

they'll have to find some middle ground between UGC and keeping their players happy and feeling like they're actually being listened to

im also kinda split on the review bomb currently happening

  1. how else would people raise awareness that they're unsatisfied with the game? the entire point of reviews is for people to share their opinion about the game in question and they're utilizing that right now
  2. the rest of this community is not at all mature enough to handle movements like this. a lot of the reviews we're seeing is either all caps and swearing or "bad game fix now pls #recroomrevive"
