Are you using a raycast to find out where it lands?
If you are you can set it's position to the hit position. You just need to move the pivot point of the briefcase to the side you want touching the ground
the breifcase is clamped to a throw handle
and yes im using a raycast hit position with a vector of Y -1 to get the hit position below

They make the hands go further from your body behind you, which is the main issue i want to work out.
Rec room bug, you can’t really make climbable objects that move without jank
only real workaround to this is making invisible collision climbable and using that instead
but thatll take alot of ink depending on what your doing

I have a CV2 animation controller that is stubborn. It's a super simple animation, 3 frames. Frame 0 is default position, frame 1, the thing is rotated a bit, frame 3 is back to default position. When I save the room, the object reload at frame 1 instead of the default position. What's up with that

We are working on achievements for MurderV3, but there are different types of achievements, meaning multiple achievements can share the same index, whilst being a different type
I tried using several animations, and using a blend tree to blend them all together (So I could use AchievementIndex to set the index of the achievement we are taking from, and AchievementType for which animation we are taking from), but the sprite never changed

Currently, even though it should be either 0 or 1, i put the blend progress at 0.5, and the motion time at 1
They are now half way between transitioning colors, and half scale
Now the blend tree progress is 1, meaning "100% scale animation", and the normalized motion time is 0.5, meaning "halfway through the scale animation"

Here's something to help with the new (and one old) Vector chips (MoveTowards, SmoothDamp, and current Lerp) if you are using the same value for all of them, and constantly update start to the current vector (which should not be done for Lerp unless you change its progress to adjust, which essentially is MoveTowards.)

If you clone a subroom with configured currency add or balance checking chips, they keep their configured currency in the new room
The currency will not display in the configure menu, but they fully work
And the currency is still synced between the two rooms
The catch is:
- No way to remove currency in anything outside the main room the currency was created in
- You can't sell anything involving the currency in anything outside the main room the currency was created in
- Saving the chips as inventions does not work, there is no way to get the glitched chips into an existing subroom
Its really neat though

I know project on plane allows you to take a direction, and map that direction to a surface of an object. Its really usefull for playermovement to get a player to walk up a surface for example.
Closest point on plane I think is you have this large surface. And this point in space, whats the closest point on the large surface to the point in space.

Its neat. Sadly I used the pdb method and apparently when I tried it, it didn't work last update.
Its nice now that we have a chip because we can show circuits, then remove makerpen while the person has makerpen so they cant touch anything but still see the circuits.

the method that worked best prior to this update was clamping a state machine to the base of a clamp, and clamping something with collision to the top of that same clamp
then you could use something like an overlap sphere to check if that object was collidable
if it was, then person was holding makerpen/circuits were visible
you can also use cv1 circuit board (that have collision for some reason)

It did... It also meant if I did exactly what I did prior. Show circuits when not holding makerpen would cause the circuits to flash on and off constantly.
I did use it a lot though to hide circuit walls.

It would be awesome to have an Exception threw event. That basically fires 1 frame later, and gives you the position of the error. (string) The chip name that errored, (string) and the error that got pasted into the console.

The current port is your current position, the target is your end point, the current velocity is your current velocity. The smooth time looks to be your dampening, and max speed is your force, or your actual total max velocity.
Interesting way of going about spring physics but I guess it can make sense.

The higher the smooth time value the slower the object moves and the more springy... I don't really know why. But it is like that. So the lower the value is the more point a to point b it is. Which also greatly increases the velocity, which is why you add a cap on that velocity using Max speed
Oh btw the Vector3 Closest Point On Plane is similar to the Navmesh Sample Position function in Unity.
On top of that, the Navmesh Sample Position chip works now.

So.... apparently....no one knows the answer to the question I asked...if a person is removed from a list using list remove (first), will the other elements in the list shift positions automatically, or will I have to create another removal method.
The item isn't being replaced with an empty player value, it is being erased entirely. The items in your list will shift due to the now missing entry
It's reason why a lot of system purely use the first index in a list, and remove it when done, like a Door Open Queue

Mobile crash rate will almost always be awful

Don't rely on mobile players as the minimum crash rate, it's so far beyond stable, that it isn't worth trying to completely compensate for them.
