I would go with fairy ngl
you have a ground for the t-wave mons
Torterra is decently good on webs though
since it means it can outspeed most scarfers now
had prot pads gzap but now its banned so was wondering how this will be moving forward
maybe low kick on bisharp?
Well, main issue now is that you don't really have a ground type switchin, something such as scarf krook can easily force you to tera bisharp. Low kick on bisharp is okay, but i prefer speedy bisharps for that. I think you swap out mamo for flygon (could do a standard scale shot set or fimp set) to help with that
everything else is good tho? what abt the tera blast electric suicune. had that for when volc was in the tier
was also thinking incin could work really well here with intim drops burns and more support
Tblast electric is still prob fine ngl
You can fit ice beam or shadow ball on it easier though
Incin idk about
intim can backfire against bisharp
+idt it really fits great here
still resists everything that isnt lowkick, can burn or knock off or even ohko with flare blitz
not sure which of these to highlight, but thank you. I finally cracked top 500 with your recommendations. Number 476 as of my last check.
Thats great, gz
issue is that if you aren't physically defensive (and you kinda wanna be spdef to help take on stuff like armarouge), then at +3 its doing 50%
so its really dicey very quickly
if you ain't at 100%
cause you open yourself up to iron head flinch
Made my first team ever :). Might be hot doo doo but it has chesnaught so its still goated tbh

New [Gen 9] RU RMT @faint panther, @small spruce, @whole tulip, @spark sapphire. I won't notify you again for at least 6 hours.
Chesnaught should probably be synthesis+body press, leech+spiky shield isn't really good. Gengar doesn't really have much reason to run tbolt, coverage like focus blast/d-gleam or utility like wisp/dbond is better. Cyclizar should probably be AV, think on this team you really want that. I think you could also drop garde/mien and make one of them a flying/levitate mon (flygon could work as it also gives you a volt immune).
Thank you very much :), ill be back with a revised version at some point lol, also I put tbolt more so for talonflame but idk if that makes a lot of sense since im still figuring it out
Talon you should be fine against, shadow ball and sludge wave does a ton
and empo should wall talon
ah ok sweet, ill keep that in mind then
@whole tulip I've got something different now by trying to follow you advice as best I could. I reverted chesnaught, gave gengar his FB back, and gave Cyclizar his vest. I also traded Mien for Flygon and tried to make this flygon set work, though I may have messed up so we'll see lol
https://pokepast.es/a514cae0e7207665
Taunt needs to be swapped out since its incompatable with AV (draco meteor or d-tail works well). But yeah, this looks good
oh true 💀 , probably for like dragon tail right?
Np
Made another Chesnaught team, first five games im 3-2

Okay, noticing some issues with this team.
One, you don't have a ground immune. While ches can help, something such as gunk krookodile with choice scarf will kinda wreck you.
Two, you don't have any rockers. This seems to be going into a more defensive spikestack way so that would really help.
I think replacing mag with something such as registeel that can set up rocks is a good starting point. I think you might wanna make herscu scarf over specs, then drop mienshao for a flying/levitate mon.
Yo mb man, I knocked out so bad yesterday 😭, I’ll definitely implement these changes tho, thank you

Shao should be LO over e-belt, regen helps offset it a lot. I would make aura sphere on garde healing wish since its a lot more impactful ngl. You also don't really have any mons to take on special attackers so I would make gastrodon spdef, can still keep helm+tera ghost though. Also change slowbro tera type ofc
Made changes! thx

Hey so found this balance team in smogon, i wanted to make a balance team with mimikyu in it but i have a hard time finding one
And this one has 2 members that is no longer legal (okidogi and salamence)
What should i substitute them with?
There isn't really a direct replacement to okidogi and salamence, but gimme a minute to see what could be best
For fighting types, you could use gallade or hilligant over okidogi
maybe 3A synthesis hilli?
ngl, i'm looking at it, and idk what replaces mence
maybe like, SD/taunt talonflame?
theres noivern which can somewhat break bulkier teams but they do it in very different ways
this is a decently old team, but it should still hold up well enough
Ah ok, thx a lot! ^^

webs, sick
thorns is a bit of an unmon but the general build seems fine, standard bish arma core and hili is a nice cleaner
I think if you're going to stick with thorns (which is ok) you could probably do boots cm arma > wp
gives you a little less tera reliance there and helps vs balance stuff a lot since you dont have removal or a meaningful tspike absorber with balloon gar
also 100% on hili dont need ice spinner these days
synth or tera blast psy are much better and for a team like this you probably do synth and use talon as setup fodder
https://pokepast.es/da8d1729add47d3c @dense cargo good luck farming
Tysm
Yea the team was built for thorns specifically
did I make Orbeetle usable with this set? Dropping it is not an option; so I start battle by setting up agility/calm mind, if weakness policy goes off i use stored power, bug buzz for dark types, sticky web because it has it, and finally if I can, i gigantamax anduse G-max gravitas so (almost) all switch ins are affected by sticky web
any pointers for screen setters so Orbeetle can survive and have weakness policy activate?
I think you have the wrong chat lol
I have a team which I'm terrified of using more than this one replay due to 80+ turns, but thoughts on SpiteStall? It managed to break through an Acid Armor + Body Press and some other setup sweepers through Spite, Haze and recovery.

Premise: That PP Stall I've sometimes been up against (triple beasts... and others) only more actively ...Spiteful.
The theory is that most actual combat moves are to the tune of 8-16 PP with the occasional 24 (Moonblast, most of what Gallade does), or else don't actually do too much damage.
Spite isn't really good ngl, pressure stall is a strategy you can use with suciune, but the move spite isn't really good since the opponent can just switch, or they could use a move they don't care about at much beforehand. Only mon I would consider using spite on is sableye, but even then its kinda meh
Yeah, not to dismiss your skill or anything but the team you faced wasn't good and the opponent didnt see to play well at all...
I also misplayed a lot; this was a proof of concept.
and in retrospect, I can totally see how any other (useful) move in that Spite slot would have been helpful
though I'm totally sticking with both haze and phaze on this
thanks for confirming this was just a stupid gimmick where I got lucky; I'd hate to have found that something THIS time-consuming was good; now I can go back to something more sensible
but if I swapped out the Spites, would it be decent?
Hm, I think if you swapped wo-chien out for something else then it would prob be good
Just some breaker like LO mien or speed control
something with ESpeed or Sucker Punch?
actually, my thoughts just went to NP Infernape
ooh, mien would let me keep having another knock off user

Unviable unfort
Huh
Maus kleav arma hili all fine for ho but these sets are bad, Cloyster could work and hoodra doesnt fit this team
So how would you improve my team
What fp said, but to make it better:
Make maushold wide lens so it can work well with pop bomb (since it will hit 10 hits most of the time) and replace crunch with either bite (90 bp due to technician) or encore
Kleavor should be close combat over brick break and tera ghost, night slash also prob should be swapped for trailblaze or SD
Armarouge should be psyshock over psychic and energy ball over aura sphere (to hit water types like slowbro). Also probably change tera to something like fairy or grass
Cloyster's tera should be ghost probably ngl, sash is prob fine though white herb also works
Hilligant should be hustle wide lens, thats what gives it most of its viability, could use synthesis or tera blast along with tera psychic
if you don't go with tera blast, make it tera fire
Hoodra should be swapped out, preferably for a special attacker like np gengar, weakness policy basculegion-f, scarf gardevoir etc
New [Gen 9] RU RMT @faint panther, @small spruce, @whole tulip, @spark sapphire. I won't notify you again for at least 6 hours.
in the little testing i was able to do, found it weak to hlily, or just ho in general
Fairy resist talon looks dire
technically blissey also resists fairy
SD lycanroc should almost always be Lo and trailblaze doesn't really make much sense, gastro and quag already take a bunch from tera fighting cc and slowbro dies to crunch, I would change the tera and make blaze crunch
uh, lemme look over the rest
I think what fp said is true ngl, while you have blissey it will get tricked by garde and if the garde is psyshock/psynoise, it could get iffy
i just want a lycan that can reliably win when the desired chip etc has been achieved
Well, trailblaze doesn't help that much though, crunch does a lot more to slowbro and gastro takes a bunch from tera fighting cc
otherwise i wouldve gone the ho route
252 Atk Life Orb Tough Claws Lycanroc-Dusk Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Gastrodon: 188-222 (44.1 - 52.1%) -- 16% chance to 2HKO
252 Atk Life Orb Tough Claws Lycanroc-Dusk Trailblaze vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Gastrodon: 317-374 (74.4 - 87.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
Like sure, you are doing more to gastro, but in reality, its still not going to like taking cc
and if it tera ghosts at any point, your lycan can't break through it as easily
if you go non LO especially
wouldnt lo just be out of place here
I think its fine
you have pivots and decent removal
and gives your team some breaking power
also helps against HO
252 Atk Tough Claws Lycanroc-Dusk Accelerock vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Maushold: 106-126 (36.6 - 43.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252 Atk Life Orb Tough Claws Lycanroc-Dusk Accelerock vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Maushold: 138-164 (47.7 - 56.7%) -- 84.8% chance to 2HKO
for example

Mew is just better as a suicide lead in general over deoxys as it can outspeed krook, which is definitely a common rocker. Does mean you can't have np mew, but something such as armarouge is good in that slot probably
Not sure about scarf Gengar tbh, you have two priority users already
You could just make it np balloon Gengar, but I think something like np tornadus is better
Despite how much it misses
Got another team, that I mean to bring into the Lili suspect test when I have the time: https://pokepast.es/2be7f0b40df9bfec

(way past time for me to get some sleep, so I'll be gone for a bit)
Is hisuin militant getting a suspect test
feel like psynoise+dkiss is a great stallbreaker so it would be good on ho
and yea i want to use that set badly
I would use jirachi over deoxys defense then. A set of rocks, iron head, thunder wave/body slam, encore/healing wish should work
Will get to this later today also
Yes
Understood.
This is kinda a weird team ngl, main issue I see is that arma kinda is a pain if chandy has to take rocks chip, which it probably will at some point. I also think specs mag and scarf chandy want to be used on slower squads ngl, to allow them to be as destructive as possible
I also don't think specs mag+scarf chandy works well together on the same team ngl, but maybe it could work
actually, they prob are fine together yeah
But yeah, if you want to go in a more offense route, prob need to drop mag+chandy, but if you wanna stick with that core, prob need to revise torterra+gatr
so I'm trying to do two things at once?
in place of gatr, I could go for Swampert and give Jirachi another move in place of rocks
or some sort of empoleon, keeping me at having some decent water options
actually, better question: In what general direction would this reworking go? (I already tried a Band Crawdaunt, and it was lacking for my style.)
hm, if replacing the special attackers, then a Feint Mienshao did well for me for a previous team
or... do you think IronPress Chesnaught would work in place of Torterra?
Basically yes
and my mind is going in two directions for which way to replace things
one half wants Chandy -> Weakness Policy Armarogue; another wants that Terra -> Ches swap
...My indecision is that Terra and Gatr have done a lot for me, but Chandy and Magnezone have, too.
Can't really give a detailed response since my internet is out rn and I'm doing this on phone, but I would try to probably either a) go with good defensive mons/pivots that can help get your wall breakers or b) go in a more offensive route by dropping doom desire on jirachi and then prob swapping gatr for something a bit more physically bulky
Basically you either go a balance route or you go an offense route
like a Swampert or Empoleon with Rocks + Flip Turn?
so the question for gatr's replacement becomes: Steel Type + Roost or STAB Earthquake?
as for rethinking Torterra... I really want something that can crack walls open on the physical side and can punish ground types
Terrakion?
Hm, I would just use something like crocune ngl
Think krookodile would be a good option
Prob taunt krook
Since it can wear them down
right. taunt.
I keep forgetting that move exists
so, specially defensive empoleon: Roost, Surf, Flip Turn OR Rocks (if I keep Jirachi, then that would work out there?), Knock/Roar/Ice Beam
keeping Jirachi, how would Roost, Surf, Flip Turn, Ice Beam sound?
If you keep jirachi, then I would not do empo
Way too fighting weak
Sure
Though looking at it, IDT jirachi is the play here
At all
Cause like, you do kinda want a ground immune
Only thing I can think of to keep rachi is having gligar over pert/krook but idk about that since you prob lose to mienshao still
hm, Tornadus time? (def not Rotom of any form, I hope)
or Noivern or Talonflame...
noivern would make me a fair bit weaker to ice, though a fast Taunt and a Super Fang would be lovely... Talonflame would make me VERY water-weak...
Flygon makes me have a lot of ground moves
oh, would Cresselia work?

New [Gen 9] RU RMT @faint panther, @small spruce, @whole tulip, @spark sapphire. I won't notify you again for at least 6 hours.
Scarf Chandelure yo
Yeah pert cyc chandy mag are probably fine as a general team comp for this
Vern and krook are kinda just overlapping roles unnecessarily
How do you regard their roles as overlapping?
oh, both Taunt users?
thinking Krook -> Chenaught (Iron Defense, Synthesis, Knock Off, Body Press)?
or H-lili?
Mainly there typings
I think ches could be fine here
I wince to select tera Steel because Mag + Tera on Noivern, but should I stick with that?
thinking of an unorthodox Tera Fire to just eat burns
(and get an edge on sun teams)
You prob wanna swap out Vern for something else, but tera ghost or even water is prob fine
And ches is already good against sun
Due to bulletproof
RIGHT weather ball is a bullet
okay
swapping both krook -> ches and vern -> something else that at least is neutral to ground because chandy+magnezone?
Probably yeah
could be the first time in a while I ran Talonflame with Brave Bird instead of Roost+Defog+U-Turn+Wisp
I definitely like having some flying coverage, so it's Talonflame or trying Tornadus unless you think that'd be a very bad idea
Talon could be alright, though I think you want to make pert spdef probably then maybe
initial testing says I might want something very bulky with Unaware. Looks like Quagsire is joining the team
https://pokepast.es/48fb8779bdbf9dc2 good for a starter?
New [Gen 9] RU RMT @faint panther, @small spruce, @whole tulip, @spark sapphire. I won't notify you again for at least 6 hours.
The registeel, umbreon, and gengar are fine, but the rest of the team is iffy
Jolteon is completely unviable
Cyclizar should have d-tail over taunt since its running AV
Kleavor is also not really good and not needed since registeel can rock here
Swap out jolteon and kleavor for a spiker and some speed control and its prob decent
oh yeah I didn't notice the cyclizar thing already fixed that, also is jolteon really that bad?
Yes, doesn't have the coverage to beat a good majority of grounds and is outclassed by raikou, who has scald to hit grounds
Forretress isn't really a good mon, if you swap it out for chesnaught though, team is good then
could also use gastrodon actually
up to you which one you pick
also probably change one of the teras on umbreon, registeel or cyclizar, IDT you need three tera fairys here
but yeah, make those small changes and its good
also does a iron defense set work on chesnaught?
It can yes, which you can put over spikes
anyways thx for the help
Np

New [Gen 9] RU RMT @faint panther, @small spruce, @whole tulip, @spark sapphire. I won't notify you again for at least 6 hours.
and that punishes setup
Focus Blast to surprise Magnezone and Ice types
not perfect, but it's a bigger threat than Aura Sphere (EDIT: vs Assault Vest. I admit, it's still very strong vs Choice)
For this first team, manual rain isn't good, as politoed is just better at setting up rain in general. I also don't think semi rain can really work, so I would prob just go full rain with toed, barra, herscu, electric type, then two fillers
Registeel should be mostly fine for this team tbh, vapo can 1v1 it pretty well. That said, idk about this team. You double up on a lot of typings and its showing. Something such as gardevoir is going to eat this team alive. Change swampert to another ground type and then make flygon something else. Could go registeel over pert and then SD rhyperior maybe, or some other offensive ground, though not krook since I do think it wouldn't mesh well with this team.
I see, btw what set should I use on politoed? is it just the perishsong one or there is another?, also what is 'herscu' 😅
Herscu is basculegion-f, as for politoed, perish song is prob the best set yeah, politoed isn't a great pokemon, but for rain to work at its best, its required
perish song potentially allows politoed to trap and remove certain mons when facing bulkier teams
Something like perish song, whirlpool, then two filler is good
ok then what electric type you recommand i should use?
Kilowattrel is usually the best, though raikou or magnezone are also decent
Don't forget to use thunder on all three and weather ball on kilo though
ye I already had that in mind, but which move should I switch with weather ball? volt switch and hurricane are neccsery so I guess roost?
Thunder, hurricane, weather ball, volt switch
while roost can be useful, typically rain teams play at a fast pace
you can drop weather ball though if you really want
To fit roost
But I would advise against that, since weather ball makes kilo a lot more threatening
okay then, hdb as an item right?
yeah
okay then thx for the help
np
also one more thing were chesn and cyclizar good as filers or I should replace them?
Ches I would probably replace for something such as jirachi (stealth rock, iron head, u-turn, filler. Filler could be encore, thunder, healing wish, body slam) since synthesis heals less under rain and it sucks out the momentum that rain typically wants to keep up
cyclizar should be fine though
ok thx
after some testing the team is really good overall, at this point I haven't lost any battle expect for one where prediction made me lose, switching chesn with jirachi was really decent but can be replaceable, rocks and para/flinch is good, although I can feel like I can make barra modest with doubled speed it's faster then even scarfed mons
How about Shell Smash Torterra for the offensive ground?
Can someone put together a ru team without legendaries and without gen8 hash for me?
Torterra could be fine yeah
and looking at registeel's last move... debating between Iron Defense, Curse, Protect, or a gimmicky move to catch someone unaware
wait, tera ghost. NOT curse
maybe Facade to be a status absorber
....though if I go for T-Wave, I could swap Umbreon to having Roar and have two Phazers.
Well, it would be rocks, bp, heavy slam
the moves you listed aside from facade are fine
Thunderbolt can be nice to hit bulky waters
wondering if I should swap from -SpA to -Atk on Registeel then
since BP is defense and all that
...or -speed since base 50 with no investment isn't going to care
if you go tbolt, then it would be -speed
actually
you should prob be iron defense on it
you don't necessarily struggle with waters
yeah, and I think the t-bolt thing was written when Gyarados and Volcanion were still in the tier
(and gapdos)
I made this team in part out of hatred for how I faced a bunch of weather teams in a row
slowbro, herscu, suicune etc
especially rain teams; losing to cetitan snow teams was at least pleasant
talon
eh, I think vapo should solo most rain teams
as long as you play somewhat carefully
should I swap that tera to poison, maybe?
that way, I'd have the option to resist a barraskewda CC
yeah, umbreon should handle a good chunk of them
(having two Eeveelutions on the same team reminds me of Colosseum.)
oh, do you know when the lilli ban will take effect? I'm a bit tired of people eking out one last uses of it before the ban comes
so with the new build, my main win condition is to set up for a Torterra sweep, my secondary is for Gardevoir to nuke their way past things, and my tertiaries are Toxic damage and IronPress
Yeah
Looking at Tera Fire to not get burned, then
(and to mess with Sun teams)
Shell Smash, Headlong Rush, Rock Blast, and Bullet Seed; Loaded Dice
Tera fire is good yeah
and Umbreon keeps thunder wave because Registeel is not taking over paralysis duty
the changed team worked, especially vs that really cheesy team that's back
no more weather to test it against fsr 🙁
okay, big problem with the new team: no Knock Off. Stall walks over me now
New version: https://pokepast.es/e106f7f53a025bc5
New [Gen 9] RU RMT @faint panther, @small spruce, @whole tulip, @spark sapphire. I won't notify you again for at least 6 hours.
my biggest issue is a Chesnaut + Blissey/Chansey core.
You could put knock on garde tbh
Could also swap umbreon for a-muk
actually yeah, swap umbreon for amuk
is there a reason that it recommends -- oh, in case I tera so that black sludge won't switch to hurting me
if I wanted to NOT go RestTalk (which I'm aware is probably dodgy), then Knock Off + Haze + Poison Jab + ... Drain Punch?
Non rest talk isn't very good tbh
but pain split is an option
Rn I think amuk always wants haze and knock off
so knock, haze, pain split, drain punch probably
after getting burned (literally), I went back to the safe resttalk
@whole tulip I had an idea and wanted to get your opinion: Tera Ground and swap Focus Blast for Tera Blast. Would that be viable on Gardevoir? I mostly took Focus Blast for fighting types and just realized how useful it could be for other things
or would losing the option for a tera fairy nuke on moonblast be too much of a loss?
I would probably not use tera ground and tera blast, maybe on cm garde, but thats a lot more specific set tbh
tera fairy just allows garde to clean easier
What were your issues with focus blast?
Cause garde has a lot of other 4th move options
70% accuracy
I'd go aura sphere, but it's not strong enough to 2HKO Magnezone and Registeel
I like to play things safe if I can, with a minimum of luck if I can reduce it
Hm
Mystical fire is an option, can't hit armarouge but the team should handle that well enough
Wisp or knock are also 4th move options, which don't immediately defeat steels, but can heavily cripple them
*AV magnezone. Specs Magnezone dies in 2 hits still
Goodra-H, AV Magnezone, and to a lesser extent Registeel are my issues; Focus Blast is needed for the 2HKO
actually, I just remembered
Hm
that I changed Noivern to Boomburst + Flamethrower
so the issue is getting Torterra a chance to shell smash
though trading Umbreon for Muk reduced my survivability by an uncomfortable amount
could swapping Registeel for Jirachi work?
you could yeah
current version, without Jirachi: https://pokepast.es/ccd8a1a4b87c1fdb
New [Gen 9] RU RMT @faint panther, @small spruce, @whole tulip, @spark sapphire. I won't notify you again for at least 6 hours.
"without Jirachi"
oh
before the swap
Is Rocks/Wish/Body Slam/Iron Head + Tera Water on Jirachi good?
or too many water options?
Hm, I think thats fine
but about that vern set, IDT its really going to work well
You could do offensive defog
it has often underperformed
with draco+boots
meteor, defog, roost, and u-turn? That standard?
I would suggest flame over u-turn, but yeah
you don't have to do max hp though that helps with defogging
though if you make it max special attack, I would consider boots on vaporeon so you have reliable healing even if hazards are up
I just realized: why not go Tera Dragon on Jirachi?
it'd go against both rain and sun
ah, right
though you have amuk, it could get dicey against opposing gardes
I would say its an alright option
I count 4 major moonblast users?
or at least fairy attackers. Wait, 5 with Draining Kiss Mew
er 6 with Mimikyu been a while since I thought about them
Ribombee outspeeds, too
Eh, bee is a lot less threatening and is more confined to lead
a-tales has been picking up a bit, but you should mostly handle it with amuk
version 3: https://pokepast.es/4701f6224c7d11a5
hey, quick showdown thing: what's box vs team?
...so all those times I recorded my standard stat spreads were wasted because I could have just used that?
*recorded in notepad
Well, the standard spreads you can mostly access in the teambuilder without boxes
Like, the standard bisharp spread you just can find without boxes
You just click the "import/export" button when on a mon
thats also how you access the box sets
I need to experiment with that when I'm not too tired
like my favorite high-hp bisharp that kept surprising people
https://pokepast.es/30aed0d1959c3727

Is it good
Uh, this team doesn't look really good. Its kinda all over the place ngl. Iron thorns is unviable, focus sash intim scrafty isn't good at all (especially that set), tailwind talonflame is also unviable, AV herscu can be okay but I wouldn't really recommend it, and the garde set isn't really good
I would just stick to the sample sets ngl
Alr I see, thanks for the advice
I tried to take what you said, tweaking Gardevoir’s entire gameplan, booting iron thorns for Cyclizar for easy hazard removal, and changing up Scrafty Basculegion and Talonflame just a bit
https://pokepast.es/1235026a5b114b87
please rate me team
New [Gen 9] RU RMT @faint panther, @small spruce, @whole tulip, @spark sapphire. I won't notify you again for at least 6 hours.
This is certainly an interesting team, but not a very good one. Power anklet is basically a useless item, as while I get the point of trying to cut speed in half for tr, its just outclassed by iron ball. But regardless, all these sets are kinda bad.
TR in general is pretty bad in the tier
Shaymin has little to no niche in the tier, especially SD
meloetta isn't amazing and it typically prefers faster sets
Diancie is mainly used with meteor beam power herb, defensive is not great
Hoopa also isn't good
I would suggest looking at samples
no i just wanted to use team full of mythicals
Well, we don't really help with specific rules
why is iron ball better?
If you want to use mew or jirachi on a team, I can help that
Iron ball does the same thing tbh, but also if its tricked
then it can ground flying types
can you help me improve the sets atleast
sure
Mew I would make a lead set with stealth rock, spikes, taunt, and then one of knock off or misty explosion.
Jirachi should be the standard choice scarf set with iron head, healing wish, u-turn, trick.
Shaymin if you really wanna use it, should be a special attacking set with seed flare, earth power, d-gleam, healing wish or synthesis with LO.
Meloetta should cm with focus blast over trick room (also make it max speed and special attack too)
Diancie should be OTR with power herb (meteor beam, tr, earth power, moonblast)
Hoopa should prob be sub with salac/custap (only set I see working), with the set you have
Idt this team is really going to work, but if you desperately wanna use it
then these would be better sets
thanks for the suggestions i will try it
https://pokepast.es/c224932488d81fbf is this good? I feels like it's not
New [Gen 9] RU RMT @faint panther, @small spruce, @whole tulip, @spark sapphire. I won't notify you again for at least 6 hours.
still nothing 😭
I'll be getting to it later today, just wait a bit
This team looks mostly fine, but I do think there are some issues here. Firstly, IDT you need crawdaunt here, its not able to pivot into battles as easily as it wants to. Secondly, your ground resist being loon gengar is simply not it, something like krookodile kinda just wrecks this squad. I think a possible idea is scarf gengar over np, drop garde and craw. Then you could prob make craw something like a suicune and then have like wo-chien over garde.
sry took long to respond I was busy, but is wo-chien really that good? the 4x weakness to u-turn seems scary
Yes, while it does have some crippling weaknesses, it's very good into a lot of other mons like herscu and krook, while also being an excellent tera sink like garg
With the new meta (good riddance, Hippowdon), I've got a new team that's had some success: Dual Weather, to punish Snow (hate Belly Drum Sitrus Berry Slush Rush Cetitan, and Alolan Sandslash is a pain, too) and to work with/against any weather. Sun is setup, Rain is Banded power. That part of the team has been working. I'm more concerned about my supports: Lycanroc-Dusk and Maushold.
New [Gen 9] RU RMT @faint panther, @small spruce, @whole tulip, @spark sapphire. I won't notify you again for at least 6 hours.
Addendum: the idea is that I just plain win the Weather War no matter what the weather is
not really an expert but make the weather setters fully tank, their job is to set weather and be a annoying not for damage, I recommend using the smogon sets on them if you don't know the correct set, also just throw endeavor and accelerock on lycan, in most cases it's not surviving a lot so might as well take a mon with you with them
Yeah, lead you typically want endeavour+taunt
But also
Lycanroc midday is just better then that
Faster+can beat scarf rachi lead due to steadfast
Anyways, weather isn't already great, and while it might get better
IDT double weather is every going to be more then incredibly gimmicky
I would pick one or the other
this one?
the left one in the image above?
and can you talk me through why it's gimmicky? I mean, I had to be careful with what order I sent them out in, but I never felt too constrained.
not sure but I think they're talking about the dusk form, it's better as lead since it's slight stronger and very slightly slower with tough claws so it's generally better
but I was using dusk
Yes, the left one. But the primary issue is that you will struggle to perform well since you have to constantly have to change weathers to actually defensively check stuff, so you'll be overwhelemed as if say for instance, ninetales goes down, you basically have a dead slot in venu. Combine that with lycanroc already prob being down before then, and you are potentially play 3 v 5 or something, which is not good
While dusk is slightly stronger, that doesn't matter as much. The speed means that maushold cannot try to tidy up on you potentially, it outspeeds opposing dusk lycans and again, the steadfast ability to beat scarf rachi, which no other lead can do.
The best leads on HO are the ones that are the most reliable, and base lycan is more reliable due to the above traits
so, which would be better then?
I mean, I'm thinking of keeping that Maushold -> Hurricane/Flamethrower/Defog/Roost Noivern so that I have an answer to either weather.
Hm, would Rain into having Kilowattrel for double hurricane work? ...It's Setter + 2 sweepers + something that works well in the weather, right?
something that got used against me to great success a couple times was having a secondary setter with rain dance/sunny day as a move. Skill issue, or good idea?
Manual setters are not good
so, not even as a last-ditch thing?
Heat Rock + Healing Wish Tales or Boots + Energy Ball or Rock + Energy Ball?
No, only thing that is even close to it is prankster users and even then, there are way more moves they want
Heat rock 100%
Hwish is also best
but then I lose my sun setter, and I hear Torkoal is horrible
flamethrower + encore + healing wish + wisp, right?
Well, typically weather teams play at a faster pace, which makes the rocks weakness bearable
And that set is fine yeah
It's typically fire stab, encore, hwish, filler
a tiny part of me wants to swap wisp for Foul Play
nails the Barraskewda switch in
oh, though... I've found myself never using Encore on tales
Encore is really useful for stopping setup and giving your sweepers switchin opportunities
Got a new team that's been doing better than a bunch of recent attempts, but I've got a few concerns: https://pokepast.es/c1b57da832c35c81
2x Setup, 2x Encore (one of which is a setup), 1x Knock Off + Priority (I'm worried about not having enough there), a revenge killer (plus the priority user) and an attacking powerhouse, and a utility to spread paralysis.
New [Gen 9] RU RMT @small spruce, @whole tulip, @spark sapphire. I won't notify you again for at least 6 hours.
idea is to exploit the team members' immunities/resistances to the others' weaknesses and get a switch-in to set up and demolish the enemy, supported by paralysis and some choice users (I have band, scarf, and specs)
Then just overwhelm
Ngl, I don't like this team at all really. This team is pretty offensive but has two breakers that really want pivot support, and thus they can't reliably switch in. It also has some pretty fake resists, for example craw isn't really a great water resist due to how it hates scald and its lackluster bulk.
I don't see a way to really keep the team mostly as is, you would have to drop craw and chandy for other things (or different set in the case of craw) or just totally restructure the team
You are trying an offense with Gardevoir and it doesnt have healing wish?
I previously had Suicune over Craw, but it didn't seem to work. Too much threat of Encore.
And yes. I lack the mindset to use h-wish correctly, so I like to find other options.
I was working with Encore and Trick as my openings to switch. Hm. I could switch Crawdaunt to Empoleon for Flip Turn and Rocks, then switch Jirachi to a Choice Band set to spam Meteor Mash (and have Trick) so I'd have a different physical breaker. Or another powerful brute with fighting/dark moves (Night Slash Gallade, or Lucario to keep a poison immune, EDIT: or a Band Flygon?)
Current new version: https://pokepast.es/91b83db835cfbda5
new set for jirachi to make it a pivot and my new physical breaker, losing Craw to get a new rocks user.
So, got a new team based on enduring and whittling down the enemy team until I have a chance to sweep: https://pokepast.es/bd7335bfd4929c02
New [Gen 9] RU RMT @small spruce, @whole tulip, @spark sapphire. I won't notify you again for at least 6 hours.
ah, no need
I've changed it a lot
and I need a very strong rework for my Typhlosion Eruption / setup physical sweeper balance
it's still very much in need of alteration
but when I do settle on something, I've not been shy of coming here
New team entirely: https://pokepast.es/50ae69b7a82464dc
Strategy is to use Webs and then just powerhouse through. Porygon-Z has Agility for if Webs doesn't take, Armarouge to flip the table, a number of them are fast, and if for whatever reason I don't use Webs (Empoleon or Bisharp), then Araquanid has the option to use a slow Endeavor + Custap attack.
New [Gen 9] RU RMT @small spruce, @whole tulip, @spark sapphire. I won't notify you again for at least 6 hours.
why not tri attack?
So that if I tera, I get to keep STAB.
er, get improved STAB and can hit another type
Tera blast is indeed better yeah
Okay, so think theres a few issues with this team though
Banded gallade is def overkill
sd would be way better
but the primary issue is that there isn't really a great way for this team to punish defog/spin
no ghost or defiant/comp user
I'm also not sure about mag+mien
they aren't too terrible here, but I think theres def better options
I could swap Mag to Competitive Empoleon
So with Competitive Empoleon over Magnezone, should Mien stay or be replaced?
would a Salac Berry be too niche?
(meant to reply to the next line, Banded gallade)
Thats maybe a fine option
I mean, idk, mien isn't a bad pokemon here, but its def what I would replace with a ghost first
Actually, just make it a bisharp
Salac is prob too niche yeah
taking Lum berry then
the ghost to replace mien... I'm thinking Red Card Mimikyu or something with Golurk
Hmm, a really slow Golurk could be a counter to Trick Room...
looking to experiment a little on the bisharp. SD / Sucker / Iron Head / ...Facade, T-Wave, or X-Scissor? Assurance with basically nil for speed?
...huh, can I make Metal Burst work?
Probably not
All of those aren't good options
the only really experimentation bisharp has is either low kick or tera blast
putting a . to join forum thread

Will review it in a bit, but for future reference you can use https://pokepast.es/
helps with formatting and such
Ohh mb mb
all g
i can still review it in this state
just makes it easier
Okay, so poli and kilo are fine. Kilo I would prob do weather ball over roost though. Feraligatr I think you would prefer tera dark crunch, hits slowbro (which is the primary water) and liquidation in rain hits others like quagsire hard. Bisharp in of itself isn't bad here, but we might need to replace it in the future.
The primary issues I see are araq and blissey. They are fine pokemon on their own on rain, though more specific. The thing is, you don't have any swift swim mons. That is the core part of rain teams. The main ones would be barraskewda, basculegion-f and overqwil. I think theres three ways to do this.
- Replace araq with a swift swimmer (keeps the structure the same. Would also need to do like, eject button or boots on blissey ngl)
- Replace blissey on the team with a swift swimmer and that would also mean you have to make bisharp a jirachi (rocks, iron head, u-turn, filler would be fine) since you don't have a rocker now
- Replace araq+blissey with swift swimmers and then make bisharp a jirachi.
Oh, actually, if you keep araq, make it another item
sash is fine, but araq is bulky enough to live most hits
would also make araq a lot slower since IDT the speed is needed
I was worried about the team not having a defensive backbone without Blissey
You can keep blissey then yeah
Rain teams usually are more fast paced
so you can prob do option 1 I think
Okie
https://pokepast.es/e99c626ad42143a6
I changed Blissey for Choice Band Barraskewda & replaced Roost with Weather Ball on Kilowattrel
New [Gen 9] RU RMT @small spruce, @whole tulip, @spark sapphire. I won't notify you again for at least 6 hours.
I kept Tera Electric + Tera Blast on Feraligatr just cuz I wanted to make the team around an Electric Feraligatr & kept Bisharp since I thought rain synergized well with it (helps with fire weakness & has Tera Fying for Fighting & Ground weakness)
I am also thinking about maybe changing Araquanid for Quagsire with Stealth Rock which might be more useful than webs especially with Swift Swim Barraskewda & DD Feraligatr
Alright, so if you want to use any sorta tera blast feraligatr, it 100% has to be grass
since gastro and quag are good water types in the tier and will just beat you
I would make this change though. No rocks is def not good
I would also change barra to a different set
CC is necessary for barra to do damage, and adamant is better since you outspeed everything in rain already
You could swap out jet actually too
since you have bisharp for prio
For rocker, I would do rocky helmet swampert
keeps up momentum for the team
Updated Team w/ Quagsire: https://pokepast.es/36214e2f1f294634
Same Team w/ Swampert: https://pokepast.es/880ec8b9233abfc7
Tera Grass on Feraligatr would def be better but again I wanted to make a team around Tera Electric Gatr
this looks fine yeah
Bettt tysm
After doing some testing tera grass is def a lot better

Hey @versed steppe, there are presently no raters signed up to rate teams for gen8ru. A rater in this channel may still step in and provide advice, but you can check out the resources for this format.
Prob would go pert version ngl
Uh, I don't play gen 8 ru that much, but I think this looks fine
Actually
nah, nevermind
geezing set you could do something over tspikes or sludge but it generally looks fine
https://pokepast.es/3be87220b5521f0f is this good?
New [Gen 9] RU RMT @small spruce, @whole tulip, @spark sapphire. I won't notify you again for at least 6 hours.
Uh, this team is a mix between a HO and a BO
you have a-tales and a few sweepers
but also have slowbro and cyclizar
Do you wanna center it around veil a-tales or is that not really important for the team?
to be honest I was going for BO with veil being there as extra protection
Well, veil a-tales on BO isn't really worthwhile tbh. Its rocks weak and BO teams don't typically need the extra protection it provides
You could do NP tales
which is a fine set
can I switch it with something else that boosts the bulk?
You could switch it for a defensive pokemon yes
Idk how else you would boost the bulk though
maybe something like spikes chesn?
Hm, you need a ground here ngl
yeah ngl, looking at it closer, think this needs a bit more of an overhall
Maus I think doesn't really work as great here
Prob could do like, ches over that
and then put a ground with stealth rocks over atales
then prob make gengar scarf for speed control and the team is prob fine then
something like gastro but with rocks instead of spikes?
flygon is actually usable?
https://pokepast.es/a6e9fb254f052c58 this the team with reworks, although idk if it's still BO right now
Its more of a balance actually yeah, think making it flygon would quicken the pace a decent amount
hey say we to the HO route what are the changes I should make on it? (the original one)
Hm, I would prob make slowbro a cetitan and cyclizar a meteor beam armarouge ngl
And also maybe make crawdaunt focus sash
wait what's the set for mb armar?
Meteor beam with power herb, rest of the set is normal armarouge (stabs+energy ball with weak armour)
Cetitan is also slush rush with belly drum, ice stab, ice shard, eq and tera ground
is psyshock good for stall match up
ok thx for the help
np
I don't lose to Toxicoroak?
Think the teams mu against croak is fine enough, either you can pp stall it with suicune or just beat it with xatu
Team is very slow, has trouble into electric + physical attacker and also heracross is annoying but the latter isnt too bad. Aside from that, Rose beats Xatu so spikes are annoying. Whats the plan on breaking milo?
I built this originally off of wanting to make a couple weaker mons work: https://pokepast.es/596a75cdca27fe35
New [Gen 9] RU RMT @small spruce, @whole tulip, @spark sapphire. I won't notify you again for at least 6 hours.
I am aware that it has... issues.
Typhlosion-H was meant to be the weaker mon to make use of
Okay, so first up, hyploshion is pretty bad, only niche it has is on sun, otheriwse its completely outclassed by chandelure who just does its wallbreaking job better.
Secondly, you have no entry hazards (tspikes is not enough to justify no rocks/spikes), so your team will struggle into teams that can just switch around threats.
Thirdly, you have two choice lock mons, but don't have the defensive backbone to support them, av mag+tenta is not enough.
IDT I can see a way to really make this team better without completely restructuring it.
Theres just too many core issues I see ngl
Idk, thats a start ig
But three grounds seems a bit overkill though
scald would also wreck you
Vaporeon, then, and someone else for hazards?
Yes
I could swap out Torterra for Maushold for hazard removal, leaving adding them todo...
I think vapo, garde, mag is fine as a starting core
I wouldn't run maus with vapo ngl
They are used on different playstyles
so I'm restructuring to a more defensive playstyle?
I would yes
If you want to go more offensive, there would have to be a different route
Which we can do
typhlosion to defog/roost/u-turn/FB or BB talonflame?
I specify Flare Blitz because I really hate Chesnaught
and it often tries to tera steel in my face
This is prob fine yeah
And flare blitz is fine
I could swap Torterra for... Rock Polish Rhyperior?
You need rocks
I would prob lean krookodile though
Vapo, garde, mag, talon, krook
Krook gives you a dark and ghost resist
leaves me vulnerable to freeze dry + tera blast ground from a-tails
Tblast ground a-tales is niche, but you can prob fit something last to help
flygon's a bad choice too, you think?
(I like the +2 priority...)
...Boots Entei?
oh, I just remembered acid spray goodra-h
swords dance on lycanrock or all-out attacker? ...Given base 110 speed, I'm thinking SD for the brutal Close Combat?
SD probably
Oh, since my style doesn't let me use Healing Wish on Gardevoir, perhaps I could use a different move?
You could drop h-wish yes, though its still a good tool
(oh, if I were using a Sun team, what item would Typhlosion have run?)
Specs or scarf
Figured.
new version: https://pokepast.es/1fdfce71000febd0
well, entirely new team.
This looks fine I think. Personally think crunch over stedge on lycanroc though
Also change talon tera type
gen 3 ru rain team: https://pokepast.es/32bbe82ed8df3c6f
New [Gen 9] RU RMT @small spruce, @whole tulip, @spark sapphire. I won't notify you again for at least 6 hours.
I just did it for laughs tbh
Is it good
Hoopa my fav pokemon so i dont really want to change it exept for the others on the team
Hitmonlee and galvantula are unviable while cincinno is niche. I would drop all of them. Additionally, your other sets are bad. Hoopa should always have either psychic noise or psyshock while gallade should be SD and noivern set doesn't make sense at all
For your other mons I would just use the sample sets firstly, though if you go for a webs approach I would not run noivern
New [Gen 9] RU RMT @small spruce, @whole tulip, @spark sapphire. I won't notify you again for at least 6 hours.
wanna build around terrakion and reuniclus
was wondering if suicune can do some damage here
If you want to use tblast Terrak, I would generally use tblast grass as it also hits quag/gastro. You also don't have any hazard removal on a squad which 100% wants it so I would do defog over U-turn on talon.
Team looks generally fine though
New [Gen 9] RU RMT @small spruce, @whole tulip, @spark sapphire. I won't notify you again for at least 6 hours.
uh, i forgor about this sorry.
But on first glance, your team seems really fighting weak
5 fighting weaks+gastro is not good
IDT you need all the special tanks, I would prob drop one of them
https://pokepast.es/1b0c6812cfd7cbdc What should i change for this team?
New [Gen 9] RU RMT @small spruce, @whole tulip, @spark sapphire. I won't notify you again for at least 6 hours.
kinda help against ground types
Yeah, your team just kinda instantly loses to ground types. I would prob make gengar scarf then swap out terrakion for a flying type. Would also suggest you make regi rocks and make gastro spikes to give you a better wincon
wut flying type u think is da best
for the team
Hm, I could see talonflame as a good replacement ngl
aight
https://pokepast.es/adf8351070b1034f any moveset/ev/item changes I could make to this team? I would also be fine with swapping blissey and piloswine out to fit the other 4 more (im not planning anything grand with this team)
New [Gen 9] RU RMT @small spruce, @whole tulip, @spark sapphire. I won't notify you again for at least 6 hours.
Old team stopped working for me, so now I have a team that's mostly brute force but can mode swap to a setup sweeper, weakened stall, or stallbreaker: https://pokepast.es/f312e68abd4e6c18
(quite certain Coalossal would be worse than my unironic use of Forretress, and Tentacruel doesn't really work for my personal style. Really want hazards + hazard removal on the same one.)
Yeah, this team is just pretty bad ngl. You have a grafaiai but then also a stall? IDT theres any way to salvage this team ngl, it just isn't good. I would use samples to get an idea of how mons function. Like for example, blissey would much prefer t-wave over body slam
I also think this team struggles in a key few areas. Firstly, you have no rocks. Secondly, you have a banded crawdaunt with only one way of pivoting it in (which is insanely easy to block). I think you just need to either stick to HO or balance for this team, its trying to do both and failing
https://pokepast.es/851deeb409ffc18e
how buns is this?
New [Gen 9] RU RMT @small spruce, @whole tulip, @spark sapphire. I won't notify you again for at least 6 hours.
Would swapping Spikes to Rocks be good then? And maybe swapping Umbreon to Wish+U-Turn Jirachi?
maybe
in the time between asking and now, I did an overhaul
...only Gengar stayed the same
but why are rocks so much more important than spikes?
Rocks can’t be avoided unless they use HDB
Spikes can be avoided by flying types, and levitating Pokémon
When you get to the nitty-gritty, rocks ends up doing more damage in culmination
Hm. I like the option to set up a 2nd round if I anticipate a protect or something.
What angel said basically
spikes are fine but they need to be paired with rocks
rocks are not only able to be setup much easier due to the amount of setters but its also the fact its going to get value in 99% of games
maybe I should try Stall again
wanted to try at nat dex ru team idk if i did even slightly right
https://pokepast.es/79d0a3db1ddba901
New [Gen 9] RU RMT @small spruce, @whole tulip, @spark sapphire. I won't notify you again for at least 6 hours.
This dead
I’m not sure if anyone of the 3 knows anything about Nat Dec RU 😅
ah
well i mena ru is kinda similiar no? well at least partially-
Lot more Pokémon and also megas and z moves…
Uh, i missed this lol
But natdex ru and regular ru are very different
however, I do know enough about ndru to rate it
I think frankly put, you struggle IMMENSLY into zeraora, since nothing wants to take its moves, best you have is latias but even then. I think amuk is redundant on this team, so put a grass like AV tang over it. For your other sets, I think the toge set is not justifying volcanion since it lets in glimm for free and your answers are meh. Would either replace toge with another hazard remover that does better into it or just make volc boots/another water.
Latias should be mystical fire over aura sphere, would also consider firium z on it
Krook IDT needs three dark moves, would prob make it something like gunk over darkest lariat maybe
Cobalion set is okay ig, but I think a defensive set with t-wave volt is a lot better here
Aha oki
also ty
ah question is a good idea for a slowking instead of togekiss or not really
Slowking isn't currently RU
It showed it was national dex ru-
Still if not it who can be good
https://pokepast.es/55be8cf3961c1225
Fun team I build recently with my dpp knowledge. I love the random ass houndstone since nobody seems to know what it does, but certaintly I'm not experienced in this tier and I don't know if it will get me to 1400 on ladder yet. The body press slot on mew (or mew slot in general) can probably be replaced. Same with Flamigo. I'm not sure what is actually viable here or just happened to feel solid to me in bottom ladder
New [Gen 9] RU RMT @small spruce, @whole tulip, @spark sapphire. I won't notify you again for at least 6 hours.
Oh btw, I forgot to put a tera on hound. I guess tera fighting can work
https://pokepast.es/9d571182f4390750 how bad is this?
New [Gen 9] RU RMT @small spruce, @whole tulip, @spark sapphire. I won't notify you again for at least 6 hours.
Isn't Hippowdon UU now?
no one saw that
I can't give a full review rn, but from first glance this seems to check all the main team building boxes
still nothing ;-;
Main change I would make is surf over flip turn on empo, sludge bomb over ice beam on gastro and potentially replace slowbro with reuniclus
is it good tho? also is the slowbro replacement neccesery?
the general team is fine, and while its not 100% necessary, 3 water types is a bit overkill
btw is surf and sludge bomb for some thing specfic?
also yeah it might be too much but one immunity and resist that both can tank hit for a day SHOULD be fine and if anything tera is there soo
Surf on empo allows it to be a lot more immediately threatening
Sludge bomb on gastro makes it spread poison which can be useful into some walls while you don't need ice beam since empo has it
sry forget to respond, okay sure on gastro but still on empo having pivoting isn't bad either right?
Pivoting isnt bad yes, but your empo currently doesn't exert a lot of pressure
You also have three mons that can pivot already so it isn't the worst thing in the world to drop flip
well so how i asked before even if its not what good water i can place instead
Milo is prob the best replacement
So, I decided that I hate enemy items enough to take Knock Off x5 so there's no switching to an itemless mon when I bring a Knock Off user in: https://pokepast.es/9f8fa4ed16bd4447
New [Gen 9] RU RMT @small spruce, @whole tulip, @spark sapphire. I won't notify you again for at least 6 hours.
...I do notice that Fighting and Fairy are problematic to me
yes
so set like this? i dont get why not like flame orb but ig its separate story
Milotic @ Leftovers
Ability: Marvel Scale
EVs: 252 HP / 108 Def / 148 SpD
Calm Nature
- Scald
- Recover
- Toxic
- Ice Beam
Leftovers let’s you get recovery, you will be coming in on a slowbro scald, you will be getting burned eventually
well i didnt see many slowbros
still is it good too if come to like toxic spikes or just stuff like that can condition if no really good switches?
Maybe not 2 layers of t-spikes, but definitely 1 layer
yesh oki
So, my Knock Off team (and almost certainly how to make it less Fairy/Fighting weak)? https://pokepast.es/9f8fa4ed16bd4447
New [Gen 9] RU RMT @small spruce, @whole tulip, @spark sapphire. I won't notify you again for at least 6 hours.
(Mew in place of Chesnaught for pivot + knock off?)
Hm
main issue I see ngl
is that you have one ground resist but no immunes
I think going something like talonflame over armarouge
is prob best here
Sacrificing one of my sweepers?
Oh, regarding my thought of Mew over Chesnaught: Body Press / Drain Punch / Knock Off (or other) / U-Turn, or keep as is, or another mon entirely?
actually nvm the Ches question, the ironpress hilarity wins so often
Well, then you would have no ground resists
which is a massive issue
I sort of just realized: lack of priority on my team = lack of revenge if someone sets up first
could I swap Krook for a Bisharp or something with Shadow Sneak?
Maybe Banded Gallade?

just a dumb idea due to someone i know lol
preferably keeping infernape for sun, that is all.
Running sun is fine, but heat rock cyclizar is def not it, run either ninetales or torkoal if you want to use sun
https://pokepast.es/8ce629e395be46a7
is this good for sv?
New [Gen 9] RU RMT @small spruce, @whole tulip, @spark sapphire. I won't notify you again for at least 6 hours.
this team seems fine yeah
dude ngl i just thought it was banned due to natdexru banning it idk why 😭
Really wanted to build around necrozma. First time buillding with RU: https://pokepast.es/d30a8285a513e722
New [Gen 9] RU RMT @small spruce, @whole tulip, @spark sapphire. I won't notify you again for at least 6 hours.
the necrozma set is fine, but aside from wo-chien, all the other mons you have partnered with it are either unviable or incredibly niche
they don't even have bad sets, but these mons are going to struggle in the tier
If you replace them with the mons that are more viable in the tier then I could prob more accurately rate it
That would prob be gengar over chandy, terrakion/mienshao over tauros, noivern or such over gengar (some sort of flying type) and registeel over orthworm
With Talonflame being moved to UU, I replaced it with a Noivern on this team:
https://pokepast.es/07655f5a0ea9910f
I know I'm weak to Fighting and Fairy and I worry about it, but for some reason, I haven't really suffered too much because of it.

or: if Iron Valiant dropped to RU, I'd just lose to it.
Scarf Gardevoir though
Yeah, I am concerned there. My best hope there is to use my Tera to get a Knock Off in and then outspeed. Or Gallade catching Garde with a Shadow Sneak.
I considered TrickScarf + Healing Wish in Noivern's slot, either a Gardevoir of my own or a Jirachi
Yeah, this team struggles a lot with fairy types, your single resist is also a dragon type so...
You also lack great speed control
fastest mon vern with prio shadow sneak gallade isnt enough
I think you replace goodra with a better steel type
then maybe replace gallade with something else
Re Gallade: I have a weird Lucario build that's meant to play to the role, specced to outpseed things that beat scarfed timid rotom-H as well as Scarf Regidrago/Garde and +1 Necrozma
...and tera normal is a holdover from a version that had Espeed
-> fighting
Regarding Goodra, I'm gravitating towards some sort of Bronzong
Or this for my Goodra-H replacement
(oh, question re the tier shift thread: "Also rises are frozen now so evil UU can never take Slowbro." Are all tiers fixed except for moves to BL?)
Hm... Entei over Gallade?
Or Terrakion? I want something that shreds defense boosters
New version feels off to me, I think I want more special attack power than Noivern (and an odd Draco Meteor from Cyclizar)
New [Gen 9] RU RMT @small spruce, @whole tulip, @spark sapphire. I won't notify you again for at least 6 hours.
I wouldn't run stored power on zong, psychic noise is way better
nothing can rise to a tier, drops are still able to happen
this generally looks a lot better
I think d-tail on bike though
you have mmq but having a phazer is important against stuff like suicune and slowbro
so I now have a SD and two IronPressers
changed, then. (A part of me still wants to find a way to make Lucario work as better than C- but every time, something better shows up.)

Aside from maus, this team is mostly fine
would make bisharp max speed low kick though
but yeah, replace maus with a ground resist like torterra, torn or flygon
cause removing your own webs isn't good
..wdym by removing my own webs?
Tidy up removes sticky webs from your opponents side
wait are you sure? literally the first time I heard about this
yes
thats how it works
tidy up removes hazards (which includes webs) from both sides of the field
jut checked google, literally never know that, thought it just cleared your own hazards
its prob fine enough yeah
what's the set specfically
quoting to note that I went up against a substitute + facade + focus punch + seed bomb Breloom, and a Tera Ghost Chesnaught considers it to be setup fodder. So, something that doesn't just lose to Ches is good.
full atk and spe?
Yes

AV on Cyclizar, would prob do competitive on kilo and change stedge on krook for either cc or crunch
@whole tulip this was the team you helped me out with https://pokepast.es/a8a5094bb213f16c now mew is banned so i am using phione now this is the new team https://pokepast.es/841d8b36a3f92bee can you please help me with the phione set?
Phione is completely unviable
Like, completely unviable
AKA I would actively reccomend against it
yeah but i have fun using the mythicals
ig i will stick with this set cuz it worked out the best for me
Plus your team too…
Is very much unviable even from the perspective of a non RU player
my first RU team i built myself. after my first battle i won with this...thoughts?
Not trying to be rude, but this team is completely unviable. While the pokemon are fine, the sets and team comp are not
I really think you should check out samples and see what they do in order to see what they employ
ah
i wanted to have fun with making something on my own rather than just settling for the samples
I get the idea about having fun by making your own sets, you can still have that and I shouldn't be one to prevent you from doing that
but these unfortauntely aren't viable
i see
