This isn’t far off from something decent tbh. I think you want a more sturdy water over cloy to help vs mixed threats like Mence, Zard, etc such as suicune. you can prob do rest surf beam cm or sub cm, also I think you’d get more out of a curse 3attacks set on lax and use as a breaker/sweeper depending on the game state. Something like curse slam/dedge eq and sball would work. I’d also recommend sunny day Zard here actually this is kinda the perfect type of structure for weather clear. I’ve used a very similar 6 just lead gar so I could boom tar 1 and dug it.

ninetales

gritty scaffold

Idk i feel like ur prob facing bad players

fringe radish

i can switch out ninetales with ttar but i fear that would make me even weaker to keldeo

Or maybe rotom w

You prob want brave bird over toxic on skarm tho

fringe radish

i prefer toxic for the meantime

Fair enough

Giving free turns to zam is bad though

rotom w over espeon is an idea i like though

i can make it special defense bulk.

Funnily enough I’ve been great at dealing with weavile, I just can’t decide between a bullet punch set for metagross or the meteor mash set, the meteor mash set has won me more games but that’s if my shit hits, and the main problem I’ve ran into was pursuit trapping alakazam, I got hit by like 15 focus blasts in a row at one point

#

Latios has been my answer to bulky waters because Metagross struggles bad against them, as well as both ttar and excadrill,

#

I’ve just been struggling with pivoting so much an clefable is a great cleric, it’s just I wish I could run like 5 moves on it, because I really want acces to knock off or taunt to deal with stall teams but I can’t like run knock off on clefable as my main damaging move or is that okay?

#

Like I’ve been struggling with either taking thunder punch or the ice punch, or should I take bullet punch instead I’ve meteor to deal with weavile

maybe swampert can be a starmie

strong lagoon
# limber stone maybe swampert can be a starmie

Team is indeed weak to hazards, status and skarm, i dont know if starmie would feat well here, i feel like theres little synergie, i understand the idea of early boom on skarm or u turn scizor on skarm to gives an entry to zap, but thats weak to sr, that zapdos set has some potential vs stall though, i dont have calc under my eyes, u should run it modest if its needed to 2hko clef, maybe with donphan over swampert (max HP assurance and some att for ghost, that + pursuit can do well) some off donphan faster than clef can do well. Id prob run sash over Lum on meta simply because u dont switch well from heatran if u remove pert (ddtar can switch, but u dont want to play it early).
Theres also the option of magneton over zap, if u wanna keep pert, and this might be enough for lati to be specs... Not sure.
Overall off zap still has some trouble in the meta, its pretty weak to blissey and twave or jira bslam, it isnt enough to beat def lati overall, so its not the greatest off mon ever in the méta, still at least here it has hwish to support it, i guess u wanna make some holes and finish with ddtar.

#

Btw potentially if u have enough att, superpower is more consistent on pert

limber stone
#

attack on donphan 2hkos clef w/ eq

#

spdef

strong lagoon
# limber stone attack on donphan 2hkos clef w/ eq

Yeah this seems ok, maybe u can put twave over flash cannon in order to para Jirachi, since flash cannon is mostly for ddtar and ure okay vs it with scizor and donphan, maybe u need Latias modest? Since this is a very offensive team with not a lot of switchs and u want fast big damages. Dépends of how u feel vs infernape

#

Its your only fight and water resist so i might be wrong on that

#

Depending of how u feel it in tests vs off starmie or mach punchs u could put a resist berry on ttar

strong lagoon
#

Honestly if u wanna use it in tour adapting it against your oppos style with passho berry on ttar is possible

#

Though ddtar survive most pump anyway

#

Thinking about it maybe an offensive starmie would be okay over donphan as u proposed earlier, im not a huge fan on off starmie on those builds cause even if it resists fighting and water its not bulky enough to be good enough usually, and def mie doesn't rly fit in those kinds of teams, so as u prefer.

Hi broski,

like you said thats true, weavile or any knock off will ruin your day even tho you have a colbur berry on latias and bullet punch on metagross its really hard to play against weavile, also really hard to play against ferrothorn in my opinion , since it can leech seed protect / whip most of ur team , its so annoying, having to defog ur own rocks and opponent hazards to get in volcarona safely to pressure him isn't the best idea in my opinion, i would recommend you to switch manaphy to keldeo, might be the best option for a fix while maintaining the same structure you build here

it's a nice team i would say but the big issue with that team is the speed, medicham and manaphy on 299 makes u takes free eq's from lando or excadrill at anytime, even tho gliscor having some bulk with agility to get 528, i found it not very easy to sweep with it, because u need 1 sd and 1 agility to outspeed and kill 1hko thundurus for example

+2 156 Atk Gliscor Facade (140 BP) vs. 0 HP / 4 Def 30 IVs Thundurus: 302-356 (101 - 119%) -- guaranteed OHKO

spore amoonguss might give you a chance to do such a thing against some low elo players but i believe in high elo ladder for example or tournaments, you will get outspeed by alot and players will be able to take advantage of ur team, sticky barb clef is very interseting with that set, honestly im not sure how would u be able to kill talonflame if ur manaphy is dead or low, healing wish makes that possible but what if the talonflame had taunt, which most of them run atm in the meta, idk, i probably need to play with the team more to understand it tho, i just looked at it, if u can write the thought process behind the team in an RMT thread that would help others to play with the team for sure.

still its a very nice unique team i would say. goodjob o/

i mean it's a particular team, some slow breakers but not a lot of para to support them, lots of spikes weak mons with some mons having a lots of survivablity, looks like you're trying to make a balance with a def core being jira rotom but they don't support that well your offensive core,if u rly wan't to go into a balance style, u could have a wish u turn fire punch iron head jira already in order to pass some wish to hariyama and pivot on it and start breaking stuff, rather than doubling on fighting immunity like latias and rotom u could have one def latias with thunder wave (more reliable to spread para than rotom discharge) and u prob want some kind of spinner, like starmie and donphan (starmie would bring some much needed twave), the thing is those teams kinda need a pursuiter so u'd need to replace something (camerupt for sr ttar?) fera is a pretty average mon but if u wanna play it with those changes we brought u could maybe either keep sd but with a little bit more bulk and less speed now that u have para, or life orb and with more coverage

U wanna change it i guess, but if u wanna play magma storm on heatran u prob wanna run taunt with it or even explosion as that combo allow u to beat spdef walls (if Magma hit), if u wanna change it for nape why not but Lucario and nape without pursuit support might bé too much, and u could have crunch on Lucario without pursuit, cm Latias has evs that works on stall but is a bit passive on an offense, u can play it more offensively like max speed max spa cm tbolt draco meteor surf, HP fire HP fighting is possible, u can play it colbur if ure afraid of ttar or Lum, alternatively u can play specs latias, i feel like jira and flygon kinda double on their role a fast jira 328speed with the coverage u want and u turn to set in your threats is possible. Alternatively aerial ace is not the best on flygon, outside of breloom its useless, tpunch for gyara is probably better.

Originally, there was an Eleki in Koko’s place; I’m not sure if just this change, along with my preferred EVs for the other mons, breaks the original synergy, given that the post was quite old. Honestly, it seems to work really well in the test matches I’ve run. Any thoughts, divas?

Seems ok to me, i dont know if wacan is rly needed with band ttar in the back, Lum on that set or lefto with taunt gyara is ok, pasho on heatran doesn't feel needed but is playable though id prob play hp grass over earth power if u do since its mostly for starmie u want passho, or explosion over taunt if u feel u need ep, shuca is prob fine on it. Though As it is, team is cool

#

Team is probably a bit weak to spikes so u gotta bé wary of that early game

#

Mostly not abusing flygon early or just with u turn

#

Taunt gyara would be cool for def skarm and def rest talk gyara mostly

#

Cause def skarm switch into flygon gyara and ttar and put spikes which your team hates

#

So at least with taunt you re fine, usually its dd taunt water fall return/double edge

You are pretty weak to Clefable. So I would make Zapdos Discharge over T-Bolt.
On Ferro I would use Knock Off instead of Gyro Ball, helps with all sorts of stuff, basically for you to make better progress and deal with opposings clefs a little better long term.
Since you have Impish Hippo Volcarona can beat your team. If you make it careful it is fixed to a degree but would open up other problems, therefore I wouldnt do that. Everything else looks pretty much fine

oh, What a cool team, i guess you wanna change brave bird for iron head to get rid of opponent mega diancie on skarmory suicude lead,

for jelli i would recommend changing it for sableye, with leftovers bold, it does the same job, blocks the spin, also give u recover willo and taunt you don't need speed on sableye since prankster will make u go first always, instead of scald u can replace it with night shade, i think its better, for volcarona, i would recommend lum berry to setup and not lose ur speed vs thundrus which u will face alot in the meta atm, for lando i would change the ev's to be

fickle rain

Breloom was there because at one point when team building I needed a semi-reliable way to deal with other rock types and grounds in the event Empoleon went down and Breloom’s one of my favorites so he got the spot. Gyarados is doing the same and he’s better at it due to the speed thing

# limber stone is there any possible fix

skarmory as an ho lead is not very strong especially since you need a spin blocker and possibly bisharp to benefit from defog, eventhough a zap might just end the fun for you.
You could use Ada MAero instead of Diance with Aerial Ace
I dont know if that really helps you to fix it, but then you can make Bisharp a different item like Lum berry for Rotom-W or Black Glasses for more damage

rich cloud
#

aero...

#

limber stone
frigid idol
#

Rotom-w 1v1s 5 out 6 mons. I dont think you need Fire Fang on MAero, but considering you are very heatran weak, you should run Earthquake or with Hone Claws. I would go with Lum Berry on Bisharp here for two reasons. One is that it is the best Weavile answer and 2nd the weakness to Rotom-W. Maybe even something as crooked as taunt lefties bisharp, considering that you super lose to opposing Skarmorys, but then life orb kinda does the same.
There are still things that you will probably struggle with like MGyarados, but I dont have a fix for that

Team is fine, it probably doesn't rly suit the méta, cause band ttar is everywhere, def mie isnt rly that good in semi stall structure because of that, usually in those structures id play reflect Latias clefable and something else over starmie, because u dont need it without blissey in the team, something like clefable and scarf ttar, for exemple, allows your team to have something that is a bit speedy, trap other starmie for your spikes to make damage,

My main problem with that team would be that you basically build HO, but dont really follow through, which has a result that you can overwhelm the threats you need to overwhelm.
There is a bunch of mons that will pretty much beat you almost every time. Keldeo would be extremely difficult to deal with for example. Sand also would be a good example what you will struggle with. Sand can set rocks, which you dont want, so you want to defog, but the scizor can't really do it against Drill. Even if you get a defog off, you will probably just lose Scizor or another mon, because it will take all the momentum.
To be honest I wouldnt really know what that Scizor spread is really doing. You dont have to be particually scared of Weavile, but that Scizor aint stopping it.
Overall the team seems to be a solid effort, but I don't think you will really enjoy it / the results will be consistent

pretty similar as the one before. Similar problems too. You don't really have an answer to Keldeo, which is way more problematic for you as for an opponent. Other fast Water-types are also challenging for the team, such as Volcanion.
I don't know if the Scizor is light metal on purpose but the damage decrease is not worse the damage taken reduction from Earthquake.
Not having removal in a team with Charizard and Volcarona is pretty difficult to manage. If you pick Volcarona and Charizard I would recommend that one can deal with Heatran unless you have a highly functional strategy how that is removed from the game.

wheat timber
velvet mural
#

This team is hella weak to rocks without a removal (spin or defog is needed imo) also weavile is really annoying for you even tho you have a keldeo but he will ruin ur set by knocking the leftovers , as h.o team I find normal scizor is not really a breaker that can win you games on his own unlike something like manaphy or bisharp, so im not really sure what it does on the team with no defog as well even though I understand that you wanna surprise your opponent with Lum berry but I feel like its a really weak h.o team that needs a lot of setup, also I feel like any zard y/ sand team is kinda a problem

I would recommend picking 1 Mon from the fire type and change the other to manaphy or Thundrus , and change normal scizor , even azu is more stronger imo

not really, gyro/whip 2 hazards is nice, knocking off isnt that useful on a rain team
giving it a more offensive spread w lum is good to face rotom too. chople is nice too

yes, gyro is good vs it, otherwise twave is good to punish non-ground switchins (but as you dont have a trapper latios probably comes in, drops a meteor, switches out)

I've had a lot of fun with psyspam in gen7OU, so I decided to revamp one of my old teams. I like the defensive core rn, but I feel like the offensive core could be tweaked.

#

I was mainly thinking of going for fightinium Z on Lele and swapping out Greninja for scarf Kartana (and giving Zam recover).

#

Any feedback on what could be changed on this team?

# scarlet oak (Also this is my first attempt at using stall)

Team looks a bit weaks to stall itself and to band ttar, i would probably lead nidoqueen over ttar, maybe id play wish protect on clef (over soft boiled twave) so as to scoot better vs band ttar and being able to heal queen if needed, i'd probably not play rotom, having anti spin is cool but vs starmie u have scarf ttar to trap it and vs donphan u have tspikes to chip it over times, so i feel like on the long run u re fine vs those spinners, over it id have some kind of sweepers sd loom or refresh Jirachi would be fine but are a bit weak to hazards themselfs, curse quagsire could be interesting even if u have to ppstall the opponent skarm, all of this are playable but here maybe id just go with a défensive breloom set leech seed protect toxic sky uppercut 236hp (which maximize toxic healing) 40 att (which allows sky uppercut to always 2hit ko calm mind clef) the rest in def evs, if u dont like your mu vs substitute rotom u can Always play seed bomb over toxic but u ll need to weaken the opposing def Latias. That set wont pressure stall immediately but u have lots of survivability and u will ppstall fastly the opponent and it appreciates tspikes too.

Aight

as for fight z it isnt bad option so u could run it I know plent of psyspam teams which keep that

#

yea same 6 different ev spreads

Explosion mag is a super cool set

#

However, is there any reason for the Zam EVs?

#

Is it maybe to live a Kart knock off or scarf Lando EQ?

I tried to play gen 7 OU since I never played, so I don't know if it's good, I just know Ash Greninja is really annoying so it's.why I put that Primarina, but I feel I'm washed

it is pretty weavile weak, but with MGyara and Volc fine. I would consider testing if using Sub Swarm Volcarona is better, because you have can trade decent vs Heatran and Volcanion. It would give you advantages against Stall and set up against Weavile or Clef
I would change tspikes on cloyster against Rock Blast though. Your match up against hp rocks serp is extremely bad, I think you need to fix that, probably by giving twave to thundurus.

# eternal gull It's my first time trying out gen 3 how's my team ? https://pokepast.es/b964c280...

Hey looks like a pretty solid core, so good job there. Main issue is Slaking doesn’t really fit. Obviously it hits hard af so it’s going to do some work but without a mag, it can really struggle into skarm/forres. And without a suit trapper, it’ll be hard to click with Gengar lurking in the background. This means you’ll have to play very aggressively with it.

Additionally, your team can struggle vs dragon dancers which means Slaking’s ability Truant will be very exploitable to those things especially if your pert gets too worn down over course of the game.

For the mence, it’s a really customizable mon, so the hp fly over grass can work if you build around that. But in general I’d recommend keeping grass for mixmence bc your team appreciates the help for dealing with Pert. I’d recommend replacing Slaking for something you like vs pert, be it cune, or celebi for example. Slaking actually makes that matchup worse bc they typically run protect, and they’ll just get to lefties heal over and over as they tect and attack in between truant turns making it harder for rest of your team to deal with it as it heals up.

Just lmk

#

Okay, this paste has a decent amount of Slaking teams to reference. Just ctrl f Slaking to find em all. One thing that can help your current squad is putting it at lead slot to have it put in work right away @eternal gull

eternal gull
#

Thanks I'll definitely check this out but wouldn't leading with slaking allow easy switches cuz when it's in the back it has that surprise factor or maybe I'm wrong about that

Also sorry for taking so long to respond

Encore and choice band how does that work ?

civic spade
#

It lasts like 4-6 turns in gen 3 iirc so it helps a lot vs things trying to setup/boost stats, or avoid a Skarm roaring your team around in circles, things like that

#

Kinda a 4th move filler that you prob won’t click a lot, but can also save you in certain situations

Hello again, my cute little jelly beans. Another weird creation, because I’ve just started loving Rotom lately thanks to a meme sand team featuring Dracozolt. Anyway, I’m not quite sure what’s off here – any tips? Just to be clear, I’m really low-ranked (just a casual player, hehe). Xoxo
