well if it had gotten banned it wouldnt be on my side since i was gonna upload to her account
uploading to another persons account is not allowed by vrchat for the simple reason that then your ip is on their account and if either party gets banned, all associated ips will as well
meaning you will get banned too, wondering why all of a sudden, hence the rule

Sooo my chest seems to be snapping like this no matter what I do. I thought it was the chest physbones but I removed them and it still did it. It seems to be fine at times and then spaz out randomly as shown in the video. I didn't mess with the armature at all so I'm a little concerned. Anyone have anything helpful I could try? qwq

short answer realistically it doesn't matter, the only real thing you can get in hot water for is ripping from a vrchat made avatar. Everything, outside that isnt a big deal unless you inted to sell said things if you want to upload it go ahead if you dont thats your choice too
She blocked me so basically the whole avatar was made by me and I got the clothes on IMVU so I guess they find the wings I found on IMVU so they saying it’s on a ripper program 🤷🏾♀️i only use IMVU and free assets that’s all no ripping or nothing that’s bad i just can’t upload the avatar it self period
A lot people gets commission done and uploaded on they accounts so I don’t know or the creators that do commissions don’t know that they can get ban uploading on others accounts

I need some help with creating a world drop.. i'm still very much a noob with this but i've tried using vrcfury and a friend helped me try with using parameters (?) and it still won't work. i'm not sure what i could be doing wrong, the object isn't connected to the armature or anything like that.
VrcFury toggle world drop then set the path of the toggle and the object you want to drop

You had missing script which usually mean you didn't import all the required package.
You could try using google search to look for something first.

I imported and exported this fbx with no modifications/changes through CATS (Blender 5.0.0 and Cats 5.0.2.1) and when I change the mesh property, the entire thing becomes invisible

Since the eye bones aren't zeroed when looking straight so you ended up with the odd number. If you edit the model in blender, the eye bone must point up so the straight look is all zeroed.
you're trying to replace the model with one you updated in blender, right? Simply overwrite the .fbx file.

Probably you'll need to redo the rig setup, or simply drag a new copy into the scene and copy stuff over. It can happen if you drastically change the armature. or again, if it's unpacked.

Also your blender export settings might be wrong - set "Apply scalings" to "FBX All" unless you know for sure it should be otherwise.

Make sure the head bone also point up as well. This rather seems all other bones aren't in the right orientation as well.

This can happen if you export your model without having applied all modifiers first (except armature)
if it finds one that can't auto-apply, it'll kinda force it by removing all shape keys

in Unity, show the inspector with shape keys and showing the name of the object you have clicked on
ooh you unpacked this model - going back to Unity is not going to work as-is.
and the object you clicked on may not be the one in the .fbx - I'd say drag a new copy of the .fbx into the Unity scene and verify it's what you think it is there.

I'd drag a new .fbx into the scene and transfer over whatever you want to it, then do not unpack in the future.

You must obtain at least "New User" Trust Rank in our Trust and Safety system in order to upload content. You can get this by just spending a few hours in VRChat, hop some worlds, and make some friends. Give it some time and you'll be able to upload content in no time.
As an aside, you must have a VRChat account to upload content. That means you can't use a Steam account, Oculus account, or Viveport account to upload content like worlds or avatars.

But setting it up like this has the tray enable and then disable when the food is on do I need to just toggle on the tray in both their animations or is there a way to set it up like this?

unfortunately, an image like this isn't really helpful to someone else looking at it. much of the kind of advice I'd give is to always have auto-normalize on, use the "restrict" option if needed, be careful about not painting on other parts, and don't be afraid of moving the clothing mesh further from the body

specifically how the weights will look is going to strongly depend on how you want it to move, so just looking at them I can say yep, some weight painting there 🙂

A very crunched texture is better than no texture at all in most cases
A crunched texture on an avatar means subjecting everyone who loads it to a hard stutter, the more the worse of course.
But be considerate and don't use crunch compression on avatars, they only make sense on worlds since every texture is loaded on when in the loading screen.

Usually i just put them on my model so it has a higher chance of functioning, but try checking your armature @scenic ether
I haven't made any changes to this avi in a while, I use multiple scenes for different variations and I was working on a seperate one
The fact the animator had a controller leads me to believe you did animating on this Avi.

So you have 4 states, but they are all coming from the 'Entry' but no trasitions to any of the other states from there or to the exit. This would mean that the animation would simply play it's default and nothing else. You need to provide a way for the controller to trasition to the other states
Might work if you have all those transitions from the 'any state', but just make sure you have "can transitions to self" disabled

That error is from VCC, not Unity, nothing to do with the SDK
I can't be grabbed by both ears at the same time. Also, when I use the "network id utility," when someone tries to grab me by the ears, the tail works.

Do I need to split the ears into different bone components? My physics for both ears are set to "ears parent." Should I split them into ear L and ear R?

check that your legs are straight. If the legs have a wide stance the knees will bend inwards

well, i mean if it's extreme enough to notice, you should be able to see that the model has a wide stance in unity
if you want to keep this stance you can try changing the animation in the IK pose layer

Alright ill look at that. I've been stuck on this for awhile and haven't been able to fix the issue
your legs are supposed to look like the first picture (straight down) if the feet are further out than the hips then it will cause the buckling issue
altering the ik pose can help by bending the knees in the expected direction
another way to fix this is to pose the model in the rig configuration so that the legs are straight
sometimes characters, especially chibi ones, will have this stance on purpose, since their legs get bigger as the go down, or they have large feet, but the ik targeting for the feet will remove this stance anyways. If you want to keep it, i'd suggest changing the ik pose to have the legs further apart, and using an additive animation on the base layer that disables with fbt

I generally dont really do it with normal maps unless its 4k so i do 4k to 2k
It depends on how small detail is in your normal map and how much you want to retain those detail.

Im making a model with cartoonier less articulated paws, but they keep clipping through themselves when they make a fist.
If the map doesn't have tiny detail then it can go even lower than 1k.

Yea still trying to figure that one out. Its a native .vrm I imported. It has bones and ARkit blendshapes bc its made for Vtubing/Nyan. So its def out of my area

They are using vrm converter so fbx file doesn't exist for the model.

Next problem is since vrm converter doesn't have fbx file so you can't configure rig to fix incorrect pelvis bone assignment. That's the usual problem with vrm converter.

Actually not the first time for your entire avatar making career, but that answer works.
Go to check in pipeline manager component in the avatar and see if there is blueprint ID attached. If there is blueprint ID, then detach it.

To get more information of what happened during upload, go to Settings in the SDK and enable API Logging.
And start upload again, the console will say a lot more.

it's great for manipulating clothing or organic parts, stretching and pulling and such. The scroll wheel controls the range of what moves along with the selected part

I ended up figuring it out by using a separate parameter to toggle it off, but i couldnt have done that as the paramaters true was already toggling it (it was a constraint thing to constrain two models together)

Try "Is Animated," changing the Endpoint position, setting multi child type from ignore to one of the others, switching version to 1.0. One of those'll be it.
note that if you remove that root transform, it means that physbone component must be on the root bone itself

if you're animating a blendshape for the face it's probably on the "basebody" mesh. In any case, the objects that are directly under the root (aside from the armature) will usually be meshes
sometimes creators will put other things on the avatar root, but all skinned meshes will be siblings of the armature that controls them

not sure if this is the root of the problem, but you definitely shouldn't have the blink blendshape in the "looking up" and "looking down" slots
what those are for are blendshapes that move the eyelids up/down a little bit when you look in that direction

okay this is definitely strange, do you have anything on your avatar that uses constraints?

well the only thing I can think of is somehow your avatar is being constrained either with "freeze to world" enabled, or using an old vrlabs world constraint

also a lot of assets do come with vrlab's world constraint. Usually prop items that have the option to set them down in the world
that's the old method of doing it, and some assets are outdated, the new method is with VRC Constraint's "freeze to world"

the best advice i can give really is to try and debug by removing things or by temporarily starting over with unity work. If adding/removing something adds/removes the issue, then you know where to investigate

i'd start by just dragging in the fbx to the scene, copy+pasting the avatar descriptor, and uploading this. If it works, then you know something else you added may be the problem
I'd also try going to a different world just in case it's not actually the avatar causing the problem

It's a Unity limitation. Hue sliders affect all materials within the same game object. Use Blender to separate eye objects from the rest.

The materials the avatar came with are using different shaders. Either you have to make materials by yourself and swap them or install the same shader the avatar is already using. Usually they list what shader they're using in the product description.
I don't know if this is a proper place to ask but, if someone were looking to have someone take a model of theirs, along w it's texture & rig, and just make it a functional avatar (basic default animations n whatnot) how much would it cost and or would there be someone willing to do such a thing for free ( i know there is likely little to no people who would do it for free )

So part of the problem is knowing the bone names for your avatar. If the bones are named weird, you'll need to figure out what they are and put them where they need to be.

I haven't really used something like this, when trying to select bones it tells me it's not under something or another, i can't quite remember the error off the top of my head, and with how it's rigged it's mostly for game work / GFX / Artwork, so it's not really rigged with something like this in mind i suppose
