if you go to vrchat and go to the big menu where you see worlds, friends, ect. and go to settings, on the bottom right corner there should be like a "Hello,___" and a button near there asking if you want to merge accounts or make an account i forgot. It'll tell you to go to a website and give you a code, keep the code memorized bc when it takes u to the website it takes you to the oculus browser. You'll make an account with your email n stuff then go to settings and merge accounts and use the code it gave you

youll need to launch vrchat through steam vr if you dont already, if you download a app called open VR space callibrator you can connect and calibrate vive base stations, controllers, and trackers in that program to your quest

when you callibrate you need to hold the selected item next to a quest selected item and move them around a bunch (like in a infinity type wave)

INSTRUCTIONS TO CHANGE BACK FROM BETA TO THE LIVE VERSION

So this is what you need to do

1. Go into storage via (quick settings>settings>storage)

2. Go to applications and scroll till you find VrChat

3.delete VrChat off of there and any other accounts that are on you headset

4. Once you do that Go back into the store search VrChat read the details and make sure its in the Live version and not beta and click install

5. After you do that you should be able to go into VrChat and log back into ur account via oculus or VrChat

6. Re-adjust your settings and stuff then you should be good to go!

INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO GET BETA

1.Go to your oculus app

2. Search up vrchat and scroll down till you find the "versions" then click on it
   And switch it to beta

3. After you switch it you go to your oculus and update your game

4. It should work, the only cost is anyone who doesn't have the beta you cannot soo or hear when u join them.

Yes but it decreases frames by a huge amount, press the menu button on ur controller and then click the camera icon (doesn’t work with the in game camera tho so you can only record in first person)

The quest 1 isn't built well for some places, that's just the honest truth. the best thing you could do is disable all players' things across the board(Maybe even friends if it's that bad) and really handpick places to go based on file size. Other that that, I dunno what to tell you

if you want a true, step by step/legit way to get more frames and such. youll need a pc, be in experiemental mode, have abd commands, and side quest, set your cpu and gpu to level 4, and set your res to 1024 or 1280. this will give you more frames

If your doing the beta release for the quest, you can’t join other people who don’t have the update but if you wanna switch back to the live version then just do what you did to do the beta version and then after that uninstall vrchat and install it back. It’ll be easier then hard resting your entire headset thought I should let you know if you wanna try it out

Does anyone know how to fix this issue? I open up the gallery on the oculus app on my phone to download photos.. I tap on a photo and save it but immediately after I press save, it closes the photo and doesn't allow me to tap on any other photos until I close and open the app.

They won’t. Horizons isn’t built for it and they said it’s ‘not worth it’ once. Thrill has a video explaining it called “The ridiculous reason horizons doesn’t have legs” or something like that

It really depends on the cable and how much power's running through it. If there's still a slight power drain while linked, that's moreso the cable itself. Your best bet would be either A. Putting the headset on sleep mode for a 15 minutes break, see if that does anything or B. Invest in a better cable

I think there might be something wrong with my game.

For some reason whenever I join my friend in a friend (+) world, they aren’t there. (They didn’t block me or anything.) I tried rejoining again but didn’t work. Tried restarting my quest but didn’t work as well. And whenever I check the world so that I can join, I was the only person there. I really want to know what the issue is.

With the fallback avatars, I don’t want to see basic avatars (like the hot dog one for example) just something else.

people have to upload their own custom fallback so they want something other than that list and a lot of folks don't have the modeling skills required to meet the fallback requirements

I just checked the fallback page there is nothing that would suggest you could completely disabled the basic fallbacks system and show the gray robots automatically

I decided to get back into vr and my quest updated to Meta.
But now every time i launch vrchat it says to connect to wifi when my headset already is.

i've uninstalled and reinstalled vrchat, clicked forget network on my wifi and reentered my wifi password, restarted the quest, and checked my storage and nothing seems to be working.

Does anyone here know of a fix?
