Okay so, I just ran the SteamVR performance test, and these were my results. For some reason though, SteamVR is extremely laggy when I use Quest 2 Air Link. Like the screen seems to lag behind the headset, so like when I look around, everything is a black void before the screen can catch up with where I'm looking. I'm not sure what is causing this, I have way above average wifi.

you can disable the Driver for 1 gpu, try vr and see the difference

and then the other gpu, dont forget to renable other one

which basically makes one gpu not get used by anything whilist disabled

Im using the pulley system and a long wire and it works fine, but your gonna need one that charges fast and is durable. But for the battery pack theres a headset strap for the oculus 2 that has a built in head strap and should even out the weight in the front and back

i had an idea for the quest camera and would like to make a suggestion on this question

so i was thinking the for the quest camera unlike the pc camera that can go in to stream mode and show a third person view of the camera on a monitor instead the quest camera would work like a phone of some sort being able to already take picture but also able to record videos as well then the videos would be save to the quest in a seperate folder in the pictures folder as well though i don't know anything on coding or how this would be possible but VRChat Team if this is possible please consider my suggestion. The main fact that some content creators like myself who don't have the proper hardware or money to obtain it that would be able to run vrchat on and only could afford a headset like the Quest or Quest 2 and would like to record 3rd person views in vr like TikTok, Youtube Short, Instagram Reels, Ect.

if you're ever looking to play games on medium to high quality on the pc you might want to upgrade the GPU and the CPU I think]

16 gbs of ram is pretty good but it'd be even better if it was 3000mhz or 3200mhz if you have anything other than that

i think the good approach here is to save up money though so you don't need to upgrade any parts in the future

That happened to me before when I used a small cat avatar. Through a mirror it showed the hands moving, but I couldn't see it myself. For me, I just restarted my game and since I was using my quest 2 at the time, I took the batteries out and placed them back in and it worked. But, that method may not work.

The reason that that happens is because there's no upper limit to very poor avatars (if could be 1 tri over, or 500 materials, 200k tris, 5 skinned meshes all with blendshapes), so if it were to show all of them, there is a very high chance that just one bad actor could crash your Quest immediately,

You can press hide fallback to hide the ui. But, for quest performance sake I'm pretty sure you can't fully turn off fallback avatars as they're needed. But, if you mean how you can turn off fallback to see someone else's avatar, you would just pull your menu up and hover over the person and press on their character and click show avatar.

Regarding that issue, I've seen some people state that when they factory reset their headset, vrchat begins to work. But, that's if you want to go that far. I'd say wait until vrchat's support team contacts you before attempting that method.

is there a way to disable the guardian grid?

i dont wanna disable guardian alltogether as that would be stupid, i just wanna disable the grid walls that keep showing up and obstructing my view but i wanna keep the outline on the floor and ideally the red ring around my controllers if its near a wall

i hate how whenever i stretch out my hand and it just so happens to be above the couch the headset just goes "uh oh i guess you cant see anything now"

especially that im in a big room but my playspace is small because the walls are lined with at max a meter tall furniture that shouldnt be a problem to reach over and thus shouldnt trigger the guardian imo

Yea you can do a lot with side quest like have a custom home or have games that are not yet out on the oculus store but you do need a computer tho

It’s a thing to stop immediate crashes on quest, you can’t fully disable it btw and red icon means it’s just on fallback, yellow means it’s a pc only and grey means it just won’t load
