It wouldn’t be a firewall thing, it’s definitely driver related. If you’re in a laptop check out the manufacturers website to see if they have a thing that will look for driver updates.

Try windows update, and be careful looking online a ton of sites will say “download driver here!” Or something but it’s BS. If you Google the driver name I found several forums with your same error, one may have a fix.

I'm getting a tracker for continuous tracking, is it safe to put the tracker on the back of the headset or must it be the front ? (Quest 3 )

It should definitely sit on the front.
You would need a very rigid strap otherwise.

The continuous calibration only works if the tracker stays in the same relative offset from the headset's tracking at all times.

Although, just saying, if you attach it with a quick mount, like a action camera mount, then you could just turn off continuous calibration and remove the tracker after everything has aligned, assuming you are using Virtual Desktop (with stage tracking turned on) or I think Steam Link, ALVR is also an option I guess.

But more importantly, the reason why people opt for something more rigid and permanent is because there is no point to continuous calibration if you do not mount the tracker in the exact same spot.

It will work temporarily, but you will probably need to re-calibrate at the start of every session.

If I was in your spot then I would go with the quick attach and release route and use the 4th tracker as a chest tracker when it isn't aligning playspaces at the start of the session, action camera mounts do come in both chest straps and sticky variants after all.

To add on to what pimpen said. The current quests weren’t supposed to have avatar audio, as the avatars that did have it were using modded SDKS. It caused many people to lag as well.

Just fyi, they literally all use the exact same horrible joystick module.

And if you get a new headset then I can recommend putting the controllers it a box with a lid (ideally airtight) that prolongs the joysticks the longest from my experience.

Also you definitely don't want to use a Quest Pro for standalone vrchat, the face tracking isn't supported.

Quest Pro is barely supported, Meta really can't get it into a stable state.
I would not recommend it over a Quest 3 unless you desperately want face tracking built in.

If you use the Quest Pro controllers then you will need to deal with them deciding to shut down for overheating reasons and just not tracking at all until you restart the controller, happens a few times each session.

You will probably also want to open the front up to protect the completely unprotected face tracking leds that will corrode eventually (especially if you sweat in the headset), which makes the mouth tracking and blinking stop working.

VRChat routes traffic through intermediary servers. It is not a direct P2P connection. These are VRC addresses, not the people you’re looking for. Also the game has a built in report system you should use it. Apparently it works quite well these days.

If your a quest user for pcvr and are having issues
Meta updated recently and broke air link/cable link

The below is a temporary possible fix till they patch it(if they do it without breaking something else)

This is based on me doing cable linking to use steamVR

**Turn on PC and headset with cable plugged in. Disconnect your PC's internet (unplug Ethernet/turn off wifi)
Launch cable link
Should load up like normal then you reconnect your PC Internet (Wait till it's fully connected or if you activate steamvr it will not work, it will say the app is running when it's not)

Launch steamvr and it should work**

If you do like they said and just turn off the WiFi and just reconnect it once the link hub has fully loaded you can turn your WiFi back on and use it as normal

I had a Quest 2 that SteamVr recently literally KILLED. It was only 6 months old and it could not handle Steam Link or anything and it died. The screen was black i couldnt even factory reset it.

Nothing with video players, it is youtube that is happening and causing the issues, so it is basically out of VRChat's control and all we can really do is wait.
Any other website supported works, any of the hundreds that yt-dlp supports.

Didn't know where else to post this, but this little sh#t had a crasher avatar a few hours ago and crashed my sh#t so hard my Quest 3S headset's System UX had stopped responding.

As it was sending me back to my immersive home, i got a pop-up saying "System UX isn't responding." However, by some unbelievable amount of luck, I managed to snag a screenshot of his user while my headset was going haywire from the avatar's particles.

There's a slimevr discord and a lot of users have used other trackers you could ask in there

I think if I remember the general idea everyone shares is that slime is best for users new to the FBT scene, don't wanna use it all the time, or just generally best cost affordability.

Some others would recommend the big boi expensive stuff (I think tundra and Vibes) if your a hardcore FBT user

I use slimes and they are pretty dang good, I recommend getting the 6+0 set is what they call it and it's pair of ankles, pair of thighs, waist and a hip tracker (I bought the 5+0 and def saw i was missing out)

Video players are broken right now if your using YouTube links due to YouTube having some sort of update

You have to either try changing the video player setting and hoping it works or just be outta luck unfortunately

In 99% of case, it is an issue between ISP (company that provides your internet) and our servers.
Please state name of ISP and name of country and area where you are connecting from to pin point region.
(General browsing and Real-Time Networking which VRChat rely is completely different things)

On Quest standalone there is no fix.

You can however try the youtube search worlds, they might help, but probably only if you use their search functionality to play the video, putting in a link will probably just give you the same result.

It is intermittent, youtube breaks yt-dlp, the yt-dlp team finds workarounds.

VRChat normally uses yt-dlp to play youtube videos, but it isn't as effective as what youtube search worlds can do by running all that on the creator's servers.

But yeah, all you can do is wait.

Seeing a bunch of price ranges is expected, there are multiple ways to get full body tracking.

It isn't "cheap" though

The included chart is from the fluxpose kickstarter so a bit biased, but it does show pricing.
You might only want to look at the bottom prices, the "lite kit", that is the minimum price you can get full body tracking (min, hip and leg tracking) for with each system.

Vive ultimate trackers and Mocopi should not be considered.

SlimeVR is the cheapest.
You can either get official ones or any third party ones, the latter potentially being even cheaper per tracker.

Amethyst at the far right is software to make the old Xbox Iinect do full body tracking, it... works, when standing at least.

sadly a large majority of age-gated server will still ask for you to tell your age and will even kick/exclude you from their servers if you're not in a certain age-range (ive seen alot of 21+ age gated groups recently but it varies)
