it depends on your avatar. afaik some worlds use vrchat visemes rather than mmd visemes, but if your avatar doesnt have mmd visemes and the right write defaults setting then most mmd worlds dont work

I am not sure what about the beta is making it not let you play but it seems to be the cause, or at least was for me and a few other people

So I dunno where to ask, I have a "Security Checks Failed" issue too whenever I upload for Quest, but from what I am reading above, seems some are suggesting the fix for that is to reupload the avatar on the selected platform again and it should fix it,

Can I ask if anyone had that issue and did the suggested fix and got it to work?

Ok I apologies, that was alot quicker than I though haha!
But I did what was suggested and it did not work for me, HOWEVER!
I got it to work,

So it seems whenever I upload the Quest version ALONE it gets the Security Checks Failed, which is weird, the avatar has been customized to be quest friendly, it has same Blueprint ID, but still gives me that issue,

So what I did is, instead of uploading them separately, the PC version to Windows platform, and Quest version to Android Platform using the same Blueprint ID, I decided to select BOTH Platforms to be uploaded at the same time instead of separately, using the Quest version of the Avatar, and it worked, it got uploaded for both platforms,

THEN!

I switched the Avatar to the PC version, changed the Platform to only Windows platform, made sure it's the same Blueprint ID, uploaded the PC version to Windows Platform, and it worked, no Security Checks Failed issue.

Sooo... I guess my question is, why does it give Security Checks Failed when uploading to Quest separately?

If you made an account a VRC account in Quest, then it is a VRC account that you can login with it in any platform, Steam is it own platform and not linked to VRC account, and I am not sure if Quest can access Steam in the first place but I could be wrong.

Anyone else having issues getting into VRChat PC VR with an Oculus? I tried Virtual Desktop and Steam Link but I think the injection it uses to make VR possible is triggering a problem with EAC. Every time it fails with a code 30004: Initialization Timeout yet when using PC VR or desktop mode without steam link or virtual desktop it initialises just fine

It’s not tho it’s really good and prob an easy fix at that but none of us know what we’re doing

The reason why there are separate versions isn't arbitrary, it is because when the avatars are uploaded they are compiled for the specific platform they are uploaded to, the Quest simply can't load PC stuff.

It runs very slow and laggy on my PC, that's why I'm asking

If your PC is supposed to be a gaming PC then it is unlikely that a Quest 3 is any more powerful.
That's just how much more computationally expensive PC content on average is.
But the larger problem is the difference in VRAM and RAM it is just waaaay too different, gaming PC 16GB+8GB (RAM and VRAM), Quest 3, 8GB for both RAM and VRAM.
