Stupid ass headset sometimes will lose tracking with my RGB lights are white at full brightness

Sometimes it can’t even remember my boundary, and restarted it with my ceiling fan light on, then it remembers perfectly fine

A lot. Q2 needs a lot of light to properly track so it's not surprising to me this is the case. Led lights just aren't sufficient and it even tells you that it needs plenty of light. Now, there are IR boosters that can simulate light for the Q2 to track with but I don't even know of those are even any good. Ymmv

AMD is generally not recommended, they are fine for normal gaming, usually, but VR is a niche and it does not handle any niche all that well.

What you'd have to start doing is keeping track of GPU drivers and only updating when you are 100% sure they don't break VR, which they have done in some way quite a lot in the past.

Just saying, but you can just turn off that warping (if you mean visuals becoming like water and becoming flowing), SteamLink doesn't have it and Virtual Desktop has it as an option.
Airlink/Link it can be turned off in, but I don't think it can be made permanent, you use the OculusDebugTool for that, which is a program hidden in the install folder for the Oculus software.

your cable might be messed up, dirty or an unofficial cable. try looking closely at each end and make sure theres not a small buildup of dust or skin n stuff around the plugs and make sure they dont look bent up :D
if you're using an unofficial oculus cable i recommend just paying the 70 USD for it. its worth it and will work better then most

Q2 still holds up well for its age, and has seen a reduction in price, Quest 3 is incrementally better in almost every way, but it is more expensive. if you are out of the US, there are other options, but i hardly would reccomend those. both Q2 and Q3 can be used standalone or with pcvr with proper setup.

the reason that happened was because those avis were likely created with a modified SDK, which were all broken by that particular update. They will not be fixed until the original creators use the correct SDK to upload, as anything modded is against ToS.

There is a setting in vrc called AFK Detection, you can try turning that off. However, some avatars have special animations for this and you may miss out. Your issue is likely avi specific.

It usually does, very rare for a computer's USB port to be able to supply enough power, it will prolong playing though.

For even longer playing using Airlink/Steam Link/Virtual Desktop means you can power the headset using a wall adapter or power bank, if given enough power then the headset will settle at like 80% or something, which helps with battery health. However, means you need wireless working smoothly, which isn't hard, just more steps.

Eh. . I don't actually know if it is possible with the Quest 3, it is more power hungry, some rare computers could supply the Quest 2, but not heard of anyone with a Quest 3 gaining charge.

In any case, it will slow the charge, will probably require a very rare motherboard, or special dongles to make it not just slowly, over several hours drain.
Quest 2 could go for many hours (10+ hours) on a full charge even if draining.

it gets everywhere and the previous owners were pretty shit at maintaining it

they used neon green thread to sew the top elastic part into place, and it was on backwards

imo it wasnt really worth it if repairs and everything will rack up to im guessing 300+

foam and strap replacement, a few apps needed to be bought, and i had to hard reset the oculus 2 cause it had all of the previous owners details, im fairly sure they left their credit card details in the app store

all the apps had in them names and logged into their accounts

There will not. Any performance increase on Q3 will come from better performance overhead, and won't really have any optimizations not already pushed to the other Android platforms.

pretty nice, and how do you clean your quest 2 and also how often?

i just got a second hand one and im preforming cleaning on it cause dear lord it's dirty asf

i dont know how but there's grease spots/built up yellow gunk in the pushing bits of the controller

and overall it's never been cleaned cause there's dust in the headset after removing the foam part, not to mention the foam is currently rotting

Don't use alcohol for one. Swapped the face insert with a leather one and use non abrasive baby wipes. There are YouTube guides on how to dismantle the controllers to do a deeper clean but you'd want to use contact cleaner for that.
