I’m still freezing for no reason most worlds that are cross platform I try to enter, but it just sends me back to the main menu of my quest. It’s like I can’t get in the world. I factory reset my entire headset so I don’t have to go through this.

i have 3.0 trackers and 3.0 base stations +Quest 2. i calibrated them in OVR. But I don't see the white spheres in vrchat (positions of trackers) so I can't align fullybody tracking and it doesn't ask me to do so. It's my first time setting this up

There are even extensions that PC users can be using to quickly get the proper links.

and from what I can tell from the vrchat canary vrchat themselves are not quite sure what broke

and something I would note is around the same time meta had changed what version of android the quest 2 runs

as I mentioned there's also a Android version change so just reverting the update wouldn't necessarily be enough

That doesn't sound server related, but only thing I could even offer as a fix would be resetting your avatar, crasher avatars and worlds do exist.

So you know how past the log in screen there is a green ( dont know the actual color) area with white particles that float around? They float around then freeze then when u look around its a black border

That black border, assuming it only appears when you move your head away from the position when the particles stopped moving, then that is just reprojection making sure head rotation stays smooth regardless of how well the game is running.

Meaning, VRChat is crashing on startup.

Well normally if an ISP is blocking a service, the service should just tell you it can't connect at all.
Something very specific has to be blocked for this to happen.
Be it ISP wise, or just something that is broken on your Quest.

I'd just try and narrow down the problem, because if it turns out to be your Quest related, then a factory reset would probably be the only thing that could help.
But first, if you've got any windows computer that could at least start VRChat then that would help narrow down the causes.
Other than that I'd try with a VPN, but that isn't something you could easily test unless you were running on a windows PC.

People have already had eye tracking, it’s nothing new. It’s called editing the avatar configuration to be able to have eye tracking. Mouth tracking, or just full face tracking.

In a since yes, however configuration of an avatar for face tracking isn’t new. I know plenty of users who have full face, eye and mouth tracking for about a year now. And I’m still able to see it no problem. Either way I don’t care about all that I just wanna be able to enjoy the game instead of constantly being sent home, or full on crashing and having to reset headset.

So no matter what I do: change the lighting, cover mirrors, position myself differently, reset boundaries, and even restart my quest, this issue has still been happening and I don't understand why and what may be wrong with the quest or my environment

Basically what happens is that I will be doing nothing at all, I can be just chilling and all of the sudden my quest will flip me around like I'm facing the opposite direction

They do pay attention to quest, it’s their largest player base as of now. They are a comparatively small development team for how many active players they have in an online system. I’m not saying they shouldn’t change focus for a second, but I am saying they don’t have resources to easily just “focus on completely fixing quest”

There are plenty of bugs that have been fixed, but there is a difference between fixing something that works incorrectly and patching up performance. The latter is much much more difficult and has diminishing returns on hardware like the Quest

So they most likely ignore it for the most part because they want to get a set of features out there

Which initially sounds like a dumb idea

But it’s not really because there is a very high chance if they fixed the performance now, and spent all that time, money, and effort doing so, it would all be thrown away and break by the next update anyway

But if they add this batch of content they are working on, then fix it, it should remain stable for longer with the same amount of effort

On the other hand tho… it does seem borderline unplayable

so… prolly should spend some time on that

Tho realistically that would take a few weeks after the update unfortunately

So far main things we noticed are random freezes, two people changing at once be it in view or not cause crashes or purgatory, (even with opti avis) issues start when it goes over 10-13 members in a map (generalised it in a Black cat for reference since a lot of questies go there) and that's questies only in the map as well. Keep in mind the avis all of us use do vary but generally don't lag us. So right now we're just getting together other things we've noticed but so far it may just be the quest limitations which are the main issue and some other things in VRC, granted not everything can be dealt with because that's unrealistic to expect EVERYTHING to be fixed. Recent updates have changed things though, otherwise it's just an irritation of randomly freezing and/or crashing causing one of us to hard reset our headsets

I am the one who recently discussed here the problem of the app crashing.

I have been unable to log in to other apps as well, and upon investigation, I found that my home internet connection is IPv4 over IPv6, which is having a negative impact.
It seems that this communication method can cause problems because certain ports cannot be used.

As previously advised here, I used a hotspot on my phone (not IPv4 over IPv6) and was able to play with VRChat.

I am currently talking to my internet provider to change my home connection from IPv4 over IPv6.

VRChat can't fix it.

Also IP-addresses usually mean nothing anyway, if you try to use my IP to locate me all you'd get is the nearest major city, which is quite far away.

For anyone that cares about keeping it hidden, you either use a VPN, or you turn off unknown URLs. If you are curious how much can be gotten from your ip address then there are several websites on the internet that will happily tell you about it, one of them being https://ipinfo.io/.

Not in high population instances usually (CPU bottlenecked in those), but there are graphically intensive worlds where lowering that will increase FPS.

The new years world showed off a prototype of it, but it was and still is locked to only be available to the VRChat devs.

And it wasn't the camera, just a virtual camera flying along a track.
But in a developer update they've mentioned how there would be no reason why it couldn't be ported to the camera.

Probably going to a be a while however, Quest RAM constrained as is.

Of course OBS+camera is more configurable, but I am just mentioning that VRChat have been testing a system that is in world recording.

Considering the Quest version was using some Meta api I think and you can still record on the Quest the normal way, I don't think they'd remove it from the Quest version, but it would be very low resolution.

Unfortunately it requires an entirely different build because the version of the Oculus SDK itself is different

It's not that eye tracking was running on Quest 2 or anything, the issue wasn't eye tracking itself, it was just the SDK version required didn't perform as well
