avatars uploaded with the beta sdk as far as i can tell are compatible with the live version of vrchat but any physbones on it will be disabled unless on the beta build of vrchat (you cant see/join people on the live version from the beta and visa versa)

Most quest avatars of krieg soldiers are mostly on people with no worlds with them.
So you’ll most likely need to find someone with a avatar, and ask for it, or someone with a searching tool.

But be careful if you do get some, cause most might be for a 40k community, and you could get in trouble wearing one without being apart of them.
Though you should be fine.

I’m gonna be a bit blunt, avatars normally cost 60 to 80 dollars of commissioning it with a model already made, now to make a model from scratch… that’s near the range of 100-200 dollars, so unless you plan on shelling out that much money for a Steven universe avatar that you can probably find easily if you search for it in worlds then… well I don’t know if anyones gonna actually do that for you

The limit has always been there, its just that the old sdks would let you upload it still, hide the avatar for other people, and then the next time you upload it says too big

In your case you may have to model that part of the avatar and reassign the UV map

Hey so I recently optimized a pc avatar for quest, and everything came out good. When I went to go test it on quest, my quest friend user said the blindfold on my character was on (Even though on PC version it's off automatically and I can toggle it on) and on when I toggle it on the menu for pc it doesn't seem to do anything, and I don't want to get rid of the blindfold so is there anyway to fix the whole menu? Anyway I can sync the toggles together?

if it's a model of your own there are tutorials and guides that will help you make your model quest compatible

if it's a model uploaded by somebody else, you'd have to ask them about quest compatibility

After u upload your avatar for pc there is an option in the sdk to switch to Android (in the same page u upload u gotta look up a bit) ,let it do its job and then change all of the shaders of the mats u used to vrchat/mobile/toon lit.

Afterwards just upload the avatar again and that's it. Good luck :)

go to unity, go to file then “build settings”, make sure you have the “android” build plugin. if not their, you will need to install the android build. once completed. switch to android build target. duplicate avatar and materials. switch materials with vrc mobile shaders and that should be it.
if you want be optimized by still easy, youd use blender to “merge by distance” on the tris and get your total below 19999.
if you want more effort, add CATS plugin to blender and atlas the model. with more effort, decimate the model by hand mirrored

if you want to decimate with better output but still lazy. only select from the neck down and deselect your hands before merging by distence. people hate when the hands and face are decimated

I port models that are pretty low-poly to begin with. The only reason some are marked higher than medium is due to having 2 materials or are a mite high on poly’s

I have a quick question about PC/Quest sync with Avatar 3.0.

What exactly needs to remain identical on both platforms for parameters to sync correctly? I have always duplicated the following from the PC version of my avatar to quest:

FX Layers
FX Parameters
SDK Parameters

And it works, but I feel like it's unnecessary since many of these toggles/layers aren't functional on quest. Assuming I have FX layers that aren't needed on quest because of limitations, do I actually need to duplicate all of this or am I safe to just update my main SDK Parameters only?

Hello ! I'm having an issue working on my avatar for the quest, since I updated something on the pc side, this is what happen when peoples in FBT lay down. We tried so much stuff, matching the bones names, resetting the vrcsdk, remaking the scene from scratch, even using the same pc model to have 1:1 matching, it still happen, this is a video from someone who is showing what happen

it happen only in fbt, no matter old ik, new ik, all the setups

when Standing, the avatar is properly aligned from the pc one, but when starting to crouch, it happen. We tried also without any playable layers, and with the default one I got

That's a particle shader, as such it cannot be used directly on Avatars.

Oh yeah...thanks for reminding me about another problem the glitch brings. I can't reset the avatar cuz' my ability to use my expressions menu is gone. It's grayed out as if the avatar has no expressions when I know it does. My camera is above or inside my character, (depending on their size/height) my arms don't work so I look like I'm in desktop mode, I don't show up in the mirror as if I'm a fucking vampire or something AND my expressions menu is grayed out so I can't just reset the avatar. This happens with any avatar I load into the world with or sometimes just an avatar I switch to.
