Electron is shoddy in it's own ways but not because its a browser framework made out of a stripped browser platform that doesnt even have web browsing capabilities out the box. Windows search is horrible, and I don't know how the program called "everything" works, but apparently it can find any file on your computer in an amount of time which feels instant

Did you know Firefox has the same issue with certain websites like Netflix? There are features of Chromium that require a closed source engine to run out the box unless you are a developer designing a bridge to that gap for your app.
Just because some portion is open sourced does not mean it will run without it's closed source sister.

Chromium does not include the closed source features of Chrome. Chromium does not run without some closed sourced features because it was not designed to be a web browser to be used out the box. To bridge that gap there are some features downloaded that let the software actually function at all. Not just to decode video, just to RUN. They used to not even provide that, back in the day Chromium used to just flat tell you that you could not compile it without making your own system for certain functions.

the thing is you escape the sandbox the second a file is saved. The browser renders and saves an image with hostile code when you tell it to do so and suddenly you're outside the sandbox. Sure the JS engine cant directly escape the sandbox but anything the JS engine can touch can be toyed with to escape the sandbox.

Ok Ive been having a lot of problems with my oculus quest link, I have a ryzen 7 2700x cpu and a Radeon RX6600 gpu and whenever I play any vr game on normal auto settings or even medium to low settings my link just stutters like all the time. Whenever I play vr chat It just stutters for no reason like all the time, i tried setting the options in the performance tab under safety to low but it does nothing and I even turned down the resolution in the Steam vr but it always stutter no matter what game I play. Yeah, that's a tight deadline for finding interviewees. You might have better luck trying to interview creator community members if you need VRC related interviews.

my essay is using VRC as it's main example so I was looking for "the creators vision of vrchat" type stuff

If it were me, I'd check popular worlds, click the authors and read their VRC profile bio and see if they list their discord info. If it's listed there they're likely ok to be contacted. Then ask them what inspired them to make their world and what their vision is for VRC. If you get a few interviews you could compare and contrast between the creators.
