The controller issue sounds like a joystick drift issue. Sometimes, wear and tear on that part cause it, if I am correct. If it isn't drift, it might be a low battery issue, as sometimes a low battery can cause issues (I've noticed this in a TV remote, for instance). I've got a Quest 2 myself, and I've yet to see joystick drift, but I'm not going to say that it won't happen. Is the issue still happening and how often does it occur?

The headset and controller are new, like she got them a few weeks ago, and it was happening in the first couple days of use

It also happened with her old controller but that one was bout half a year old

And usually it happens within the first hour of playing and then once it starts, she has to hold the joystick a certain direction so it doesnt move her

Huh. I don't know why a fresh out of the box controller would do that. But it does sound like joystick drift. It plagued Switch Joycons for awhile, and did exactly what you say is happening to the Quest 2 controller.

I would, if it is still under warranty, send it in for repairs.

Advanced imo is better as you have to press the trackpad down once to activate movement otherwise gestures work by just gliding much like the right hand, which turns via presses too iirc

To make a mobile version they need to rewrite a big part of the game, it would have the same problems as quest (not compatible worlds and avatars) and the performance problems would make it close to non functional

phone app v unlikely, would lower the already low bar of performance that the quest has
they'd have to deal with en enormous level of more trolls, children, and support requests from ppl trying to run vrc on crappy hardware

also to the "will I get any response", the answer is no -staff do not respond to support requests in the discord server for the most part
for direct support, use the ticket system. for feature requests, use the canny.

For the technical part (View based render scaling) it's definitely interesting tho, but that still needs time.

Latency is a non problem with a proper wifi setup.

That doesn't mean much.

1: pc needs to be wired directly to the router
2: router needs to support MU-mimo.
3: ideally router only serves the headset.

Have you ever setup a full vive? I owned one for a while. That thing is a fucking pain to setup with so. Many. Cables.

Honestly, I find that going up to people in larger groups or those in game servers are pretty welcoming to new people. Even if you just walk up to someone and compliment their avatar, it can open doors! Game worlds are easier to make friends in because you're all there to play a game. Just make sure to read the room and don't over insert yourself.

VRChat keeps crashing for me. I can launch the game and go to my home world or the default home world, no problem. But when I join any other world after that, I just crashes. It just shows an Unity error screen for a second, but then everything disappears. Can't find any errors in AppData or anywhere. Tried reinstalling, removing files, etc... Nothing helped. Running as Administrator helped for a bit, but now it's happing again and VRChat is literally unusable for me. Any ideas? I tried searching, but I've tried everything by now that I could find.

open taskmanager and go to the peroformance tab and then you will see items like CPU and Memory and Disk and WiFi ad GPU

since u only have 1 gpu u should only have 1 GPU item
