Yes. Though in my case it was effectively mandatory as I've used both the Oculus Rift S and Vive Cosmos Elite (both of these VR headsets have either mic bugs (Rift S) or just poor quality microphone (Vive Cosmos Elite).

Was goint to make a canny post, but it seems like multiple people already have for this subject, so this is more of a "Hey, this is important and you need to fix this" reminder.

Int's and float's are necessary for granular linear axis control, but not everything needs 8 bit control, which given this bit-limit system for available synched parameters, it would be infinitely useful to be able to specify the bit precision of a float value. Even just allowing for 4-bit nibbles would be so useful for when you need more than a bool but don't need 256 points of precision.

Problem comes in when you want to use 2D puppets and such when being able to use a subset of values doesn't really work. It's not exactly mind bending for a novice user to string a handful of bools together to the same end in a complicated tree, but we shouldn't have to.

Hence me saying even 4-bit nibbles would be infinitely useful with the backend of things handling splitting floats or combining bools together for you.

Or even better, everything gets handled like a float on the Unity side of things, but what gets transported over the network is a lower precision variant, which the choice for precision is made easily accessed to the end-user.

That's not something a avatar creator or the like has any access to, the entire problem is there's a 128 limit on the number of bits allowed for parameters, and you're only allowed either 1 bit bools, or 8 bit floats and ints. Some granularity with precision would go along way for more functionality on a avatar.

Yeah, no idea about Udon, would have figured there was far more flexibility for that sort of thing there. Strictly talking about avatar's.

Find a pretty active world that has similar interests with you like a world you think you would feel comfortable being in and then explore see what kinds of people go there see if they align with your interests etc etc. I find it easier to communicate with people who have the same interests as you and also it’s more enjoyable that’s why when hopefully these groups that vrchat mentioned in their livestream comes out it’ll be easier for new and current players to find easier connections rather than hopping world to world trying to find a decent conversation.

As noted by Nico above, it's because people don't upload their content for Quest, either by not knowing how to, or not wanting to. Content has to be (well, doesn't have to be, but should be) optimized for Quest, there's limitations on avatars that people don't like to work around, and etc.
Content built for PC physically can't run on Quest for many reasons, but especially since assets are compressed for the relevant build target platform to be decoded at runtime - see https://docs.unity3d.com/550/Documentation/Manual/AssetBundleFAQ.html (articles a little outdated, but still should be relevant)

there's also potential issues with architecture differences, as the Quest runs on an ARM chip, whereas PCs playing the game are going to be using an x86-64 chip

Both 1.0 and 2.0 Basestations work, but 2.0 are newer and more futureproof

is there anyway to fix steering wheel compability, right now I can remap it but it sadly doesn't work properly and makes me go backwards and left in a circle so i have to overcompensate by turning it a lot to the right and then hit the gas pedal for moving forward to change direction. Yep, there's your problem. "No limit" has the opposite effect.

You have to set an actual numbered value.
