I have that loading issue sooo often, like where you and other people around gets stuck in the default loading blue avi even when the bar says 100%. Trying to reload into that world or go to another, I get the 100% loaded world bug too. The only way to fix it is to totally close the game and reopen it

you see an avatar's polygons, but behind the scenes, avatars are actually made of it's verts (the points of polygons). That's what is actually being animated and moved around, the polygons just stretch around following the verts. All the verts have a number for each bone (0 to 1) for how much it should copy that bone's movement. that's what's known as it's weights

if it's all 0's except for 1.0 for one bone, it follows that bone perfectly, if it's 0.5 on one bone and 0.5 for another, it follows both and has the average rotation of the two

for low poly models you don't really need to weight paint, you can get away with assigning a single bone to every vert, that's how older 3D games worked, Mario 64 had no weight painting at all.
