Hmmm go with a cv1 you can't really lose out for that price.. entirely up to you if you go with a decent second hander or a refurbished, can get new of course but price will be much higher.

My cv1 I got last week cost me 160 second hand, I made sure the seller has decent up close pictures first hand, 3 sensors wall mounts and the touch all in excellent condition, a true bargain.

Yeah it comes with an extension cable 4 metre for the headset as an extra too.. though the standard cable was honestly long enough.

Since the dk1.. I've been mostly creating since, I spend most of my time just building rather than playing.. lol

Avatars are a different process entirely, I prefer world's because I always have more to add as in updates versions and things to fix, so overall it gives me stuff to do.

I'm not a big fan of the quest 2.. mostly because it's wireless and the battery is utterly useless without hooking it up to a cable.. also my WiFi is nowhere near powerful enough for it, it's just a waste of my time, not to mention how vastly incompatible it is with a wired version when it comes to shader support among many others.

It's not really wireless, you can't use Oculus Link without a cable. It's standalone in the sense that it's got it's own built in computer. I don't think Oculus ever refers to it as completely wireless

Yeh lots of people are using this game for social interaction now, but it also shows me that vr can be used for decent interaction like a famous voice actor for a xenoblade character is doing a fan meetup in vrchat soon after their smash release and I thought to myself “Why don’t other famous ppl do the same thing” it’s more convenient to pick a location and click join then to drive a long distance for it. The only problem I see if the person is hella famous it might overload the servers and ruin other people’s time.

Considering VRChat has a propensity for issues though, you may not be alone in having this oddity. You could try turning on and off airplane mode on your PC, or restarting your computer, and seeing if maybe that helps somehow. Or a game reinstall.

you have to plug your headset into the pc and install the oculus app on the PC

when you plug in the headset it should prompt you to 'enable quest link'

that will drop you into the oculus pcvr dashboard (white background)

from there you can launch vrchat
