I've been playing a mix of Oculus, SteamVR, Steam, Oculus Quest, and Virtual Desktop modes. Everything seems to have a separate counter for game usage. But I didn't see any sort of master "total hours played" in my VRC account.

Note: This isn't about figuring out how to rank up. I've already hit Known User rank. I'm just curious because I'm one of those people that likes to track how much time I spend in my various games.

I believe it has something to do with the audio systems from obs itself and that they interfer with oculus trying to communicate with the headset

The Quest 2 is probably the best headset for the money - it's a standalone headset (meaning you don't need a VR-capable coomputer) but you'll need a facebook account to use it, and it's limited on what it can see/play because it's based on Android. You can link it up to your computer to get a full-on PCVR headset, but your computer needs to be powerful enough @mortal wharf

If you want a cheap but good headset that doesn't require a VR capable computer (but can use the power of one later), get a Quest 2 - if you already have a VR capable computer, either get a Quest 2 with a link cable, or an Index
