@north willow An upstream issue is something happening from before the VRChat API connects to the servers. There is likely a disconnect due to the amount of connections being made which is causing the servers to collapse on themselves. It's an issues outside of the devs ability to fix, though they have contacted the people working on it.

This is an issue that happens in all manner of games, including things as big as WoW/Among Us/Fall Guys. You can't scale up pre-emptively too far or you waste the funds that could be used to scale up later. Servers were at an all time high and an upstream(outside of VRChat API/before VRC login servers) issue is causing the problems. This was an issue that couldn't be anticipated and it'll be fixed shortly. There's no DDoS. The devs aren't stealing your money. Servers will be up and running again shortly.
