At the hundred hours mark you should be comfortable with the GUI and understand most of the basics. At the 500 hours mark you should be sculpting shitty bases. At the 1000 hour mark you should be pretty much able to do anything. Albeit, you have to understand finished work can take minutes(lowest poly/mats) or weeks(a main character)

quads: self-explanatory, useless for game engines as they get converted to two tris again at runtime

not to flex too hard, but my first day in VR (specifically 6dof roomscale vr, I had an Oculus Go before that but we don't talk about the dark times), one of the very first things I did was go to 1001's (rest in peace) Threehouse In The Shade, and fly with the jetpacks.
I didn't get any motion sickness whatsoever.
To this day, I can play in VR for hours and hours and hours, spin around jump and get thrown across a map rotating violently, and not get sick

There's some serious lags, and even those "self-DDOS glitches" where the game would choke my entire bandwidth just to load up a stupid idiotic imbecilic menu of things instead of letting me choose what I want! Jeez! Just to get to the "favorite worlds" section, I gotta scroll all the way down and pray to God that my GPU doesn't explode as the entire laptop suffers trying to swallow and process all the unnecessary data.
Supposedly the infrastructure is also suffering because the client apps are just too stupid to say "No, fudge (dge=ck) you, server. I want what I want.".
Please excuse me for such speech, but this is seriously concerning me and many other players. If more lag causes more struggles from the user which causes even more lag, then that means that the entire system will go down, and many players will just stop playing the game 😢

either go to a world that has that avatar and grab it
or if the avatar is public, you can try to clone it
but the person wearing the avatar needs to allow cloning from him

open the menu and with the other hand with the laserpointer you click on the person that has the avatar you want. Then in the menu on the right there should be a button called "clone public avatar". Press that. If its greyed out the person with the avatar either has cloning disabled (ask them to enable it for a few seconds) or its a private avatar in which case you can't clone it.

So just click show avatar author if cloning is disabled
If it's from an avatar world you'll find it there
So basically cloning but with extra steps

If you are more comfortable typing C#/Java/OO C++, go with Sharp
If you are used to shader nodes and logic or have experience with playmaker, go with node graph
Sharp has finer control
But you need to be familiar with code
Nodes are slightly easier to learn if you have no code experience

Otherwise uhhh, check out SuperHot VR, House Flipper VR is really neat too (don't listen to the reviews they didn't play past the first 10 minutes to get the tool upgrades), it kinda depends what you're into really. It’s just bad UI man. Select the avatar so you can see it’s preview. Then press Unfavorite. The amount of avatars you have favorited will drop by one. It’s unfavorited. It will stay on the menu for a while even though it’s no longer favorited. Check again the next time you play, it will be gone.

You can play VRChat offline. Of course that means you can’t interact with other people, download other people’s avatars, or visit other people’s worlds. But you can walk around a world you made in an avatar you made, and be alone.
