If you get Virtual Desktop, and you have a good enough PC with a 5ghz wireless connection, you can stream the game to your quest wirelessly without those restrictions.

#avatar-rigging would probably be a better place to ask, but the CATS plugin for Blender has an option to merge bone groups and that can usually cut down on a lot of the clutter. I've found that in models with a ton of bones lots of them aren't really used for anything or exist only for a framework for attaching a dynamic bones script so if you aren't planning on using that you can sometimes just delete them.

only the "main" bones are really necessary to rig an avatar in unity. hip, spine, arms, legs, head, fingers, etc. clothing bones can almost always be deleted unless they're being used for weight painting purposes

even once you become "new user" instead of "visitor" you have to have your accounts merged to upload content

The lenses are quite sensitive and basically any guide telling you how to clean your VR headset tells you to use a dry microfiber cloth.

ok, so I didn't know when I linked my steam account that steam accounts were literally unable to ever upload content. do I have to delete my entire account and make a new one to upload anything, or will it work to just log out of the steam account and log in with the web account? either way, this was a TERRIBLE design decision, and needs to be made explicitly clear before allowing users to link accounts

You can't log into the SDK with a steam account, so you can't upload using a steam account. When you link/merge your vrchat account with your steam account, you can use the vrchat account log in data to log into the SDK which lets you upload avatars and worlds

So no need to drop any account or waste time past merging the accounts

That can happen if it was full. It can also happen if there’s a crashed copy of you still standing in there

It is certainly taking you considerably longer than normal, yes. I do know idling will not usually count toward increasing your trust. Not exactly sure how that works for people who are mute, though. I guess don’t leave your mouse idle too much.

Yeah Oculus / Steam / Viveport accounts can rank all the way up to Trusted, it will just take them longer as they can’t earn any of the trust associated with making content.
