Yeah I don't think there is any set amount of time that causes you to rank up. I think it is a combination of a few factors including how social you are (how many people are added to your friend list, how often you don't get blocked, how much time you spend with others, etc) and how many worlds you visit and spend time in.

If you need to use a seat currently, the best short term solution is to re-calibrate, and then instantly go into the steam dashboard before your avatar re-loads and T-poses.
Doing that will prevent FBT loading and put you into 3 point tracking instead, letting you use the seat.

I’ve had that type of issue before. I’m not sure why it works, but try unplugging your router’s power for a good 30 seconds and plugging it back in. I’m sure it’s super overkill, but whatever dominos of cause and effect it triggers ends up fixing the issue for me. /shrug

@dark gazelle that's not really how it works. Setting your avatar to public is the only way to let specific people clone it if you want. as well, there's a lot of avatars which are meant to only be achieved if you complete world puzzles or other things. Reward avatars.

If the user has cloning on and their avatar cannot be cloned, try blocking the avatar. The cloning button may work while the avatar is blocked, but unfortunately the bug still exists.

@copper niche I don't know if you are aware, but the dev team is very busy at the moment, because there are several pretty big bugs outstanding that they are working on, most of them affect hundreds, probably thousands or more users. They are a small team which is working hard.
Your best bet would be searching for a similar bugreport on https://vrchat.canny.io/ or create a new one, and attach as much information about it that you can.
