Hey I wondered if anyone could help me. So when I run VR chat directly through oculus, it’s all smooth, no lag etc. But the second I run it through Steam VR my body moves like a PowerPoint and my voice either cuts out or just lags like 10 seconds behind me. I would use the oculus version permanently but I use full body tracking so require the steam vr edition. I have an oculus Rift S. I’ve tried reducing the resolution, redownloading the entire thing, updating my drivers all with no luck. If anyone had any answers it would be much appreciated. Thank you. 😊

Oculus headset will have trouble with steam VR because you’re running both Oculus SDK and SteamVR. Native SteamVR devices don’t need an interpreter.
It’s a matter of increased overhead. Native OculusSDK games have less overhead since there’s only one environment

try logging in if it still does the loop, uninstall vrc and reinstall it by going to your files and steam and such and deleting the game and try it again if that doesnt work just restart your pc after that if it doesnt work i have no idea other than to reinstall vrc and restart your pc without opening vrc until pc restart

Absolutely. I've laid down the rules for all attendees with regards to Avatar expectations, though the worlds themselves can also have a pretty big impact on performance in my experience, especially for anyone joining on a lower-end system/laptop.
There's a few that I know are pretty good, but have wondered for a while now if there's any sort of formal list of well optimized 40-capacity worlds for these sorts of large events as that would be very useful.

Over 90% of the time I try to download a world it fails half way though and sends me back to the default world.
Yes I have deleted the cache and temp files, in both locations of the game files, manually as well as through the in-game function.
Yes I have done game file repairs.
Yes I've re-installed it, multiple times.
I have this problem on the Steam version, the Oculus Rift version, and the Oculus Quest version.
Why does this problem exist and how do I fix it?? Can I fix it??? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
