@vocal shard As its a fairly long process that isnt too complex in most cases people wont really hold your hand and explain everythings. Its best to look up a youtube video and follow the information that the VRC website gives on this.
Also you can download the right unity and SDK on the VRC website, any other place means your breaking the rules or will have the wrong version.

The thing is, how the link launching is handled @bitter elk . It is a batch script. It just launches the game with parameters. There exists a --no-vr parameter that will prevent the game from going to VR mode when launched from command line (exactly what the web start handling script does). I had to make an additional handling bat between the handler bat and the game that adds the --no-vr parameter to the command based on user's choice to be able to use both modes. I was confused first too that it starts from web in VR, but Googling told me about that parameter.

I just had an idea for how VRC can make money to get more moderators in game: monthly unity asset store subscriptions. Like 5$/month and you'd have access to a percentage of a store that has licenses for use on private avatars.

Quest playing the PC version of VR chat is pretty much on the same level as using an index. Index has slightly higher Field of view. But it isn’t “more than twice the price” better field of view.
