But yeah I would say pretty much everyone has holoport disabled. they just walk around. It's about half and half who uses snap rotation and who uses smooth rotation, but almost no one uses holoport.

ゲームがまともにプレイできなくて困っています。

If you tilt the headset up and down about 30 degrees
Rotate at high speed to the right.
It doesn't rotate in STEAMVR, so we think it's a problem on the VRCHAT side, but was it updated after 6pm JP time on July 31 to 12pm on August 1?
I'm having trouble playing the game properly.

Sounds like your height is set wrong

Set your height ingame settings to match yours

Then in ovr advanced settings you can place your headset on the floor and use fix floor function

Then apply that as a permanent thing if it's fixed

or actually not even the headset, you put one controller on the floor and then click fix

Ideally your in game user height should always be set to your real height, give or take maybe only an inch or two at most, due to the way VR-Chat attempts to estimate proportions based on human averages.

If it somehow runs through SteamVR, it's theorethically possible, but do keep in mind that the controllers would need Lighthouses to function, which cost a bit extra aswell.

At which point all you need is the headset for a full VR system.
